Finding accommodations in this remote area is not easy, so for anyone touring Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon National Park will find the location in Dunlap perfect.Crystal was a great resource because she is so well informed about the area. The accommodations are rustic, but clean and comfortable.

The restaurant was kind of empty and locked even during business hours. But the Chilli Burger (Garden Burger version) and the Weekend Burger were delicious with free range condiment bar, so there is nothing much to complain about. Maybe a little more work on creating an inviting atmosphere for the restaurant would be great.

Stopped by for lunch after completing a backpacking trip at Jennie Lakes Wilderness. My first reaction upon entering was "wow.. it's warm". This place does not have AC, only a bunch of fans going. So depending on where you're seated, you may be extremely warm. The bathrooms are even hotter than the dining area. Just be ready for this when coming in the summer. On to the food! It's pretty standard home cooking diner food. Most of our table got burgers and enjoyed them. FYI the fries that come with the burgers are steak fries. Our table also had an order of chicken fried steak which was super good! Crispy and doused in home made gravy. It also came with a home made soup (chicken noodle) that didn't have much flavor. Overall, fine place to grab some food on your way in or out of the park. Not the most comfortable depending on the weather.

5 stars for the service: The staffs are soooo nice here. 5 stars for the food: the zucchini slices are so juicy and crunchy. I wonder how they make it. The sweet potatoes are fresh and well seasoned. Good cod fish as well. The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. Usually I don't have high expectation when the restaurant is kinda monopoly in a region, but this place for sure didn't disappoint me.

This is a gem!! Came in for a lunch date with my family and this place made a bad day into a beautiful memory! Our server, My beloved Sandy; was probably the best person ever lol. I loved the stories she shared, the lovely service she provided, and patience with people not familiar with the area. The food was familiar, safe and came out quickly. No cups were left empty and all the tables were taken care of. Definitely worth checking out & will become a gem in your life!!

After reading all the rave reviews, and since there weren't alot of dinner options in Squaw Valley, we thought we'd try Genas. We weren't too hungry, so we decided to split a Chefs salad. It came out in a covered bowl with a date on itwhich was 5 days earlier. Ok, we'll try it. We put the salad on the plate--the lettuce was wilted, brown and water logged. I immediately took it back. The kitchen gave us another plate with fresh greens, but the rest of the original salad was just heaped on it. The cucumbers were slimy, and I was not about to eat it. The rolls were the only edible thing we had. Sorry Gena, I wish I could've given you more stars but the plate of food we had was unacceptable. $18 plus 20% tip! No bueno.

My patty melt was the worst I've ever had. It consisted a meat patty with some white cheese between two pieces of marble rye TOAST. Not grilled. No onions. Super dry. My husband got small dried out chicken thigh and drumstick with microwave green bean. Served on a paper plate with plastic utensils for $$I would skip this place.

Stayed in the Hunters Lodge with a friend and 2 dogs. The customer service was great, they sent all the information you need in the email and also sent a text with the door code to get in our cabin. It was very spacious and clean. There was a small area to walk the dogs to that had plenty of doggy waste bags and trash cans. We ordered dinner from the restaurant and it was delicious. We would definitely go back.
