Frosted Cakery

I was originally going to give Frosted Cakery five stars, and had it not been for a customer service failure, I would have. The cupcakes here are amazing; probably some of the best I've ever had. They always have 3+ vegan/df cupcake options, and because they are just vegan/df and not gf, they still taste great. I've had a lot of vegan/df cupcakes in my life, and these are in the top 2-3 in the country. Based just on taste, this place deserves five stars.Now for the customer service failure. My sister had a birthday on Monday, Dec 23. Frosted Cakery is usually close on Mondays. Because I knew we wanted their cupcakes for the birthday party on Monday though, I called to ask whether the cupcakes would last from Saturday to Monday, referencing their closure on Monday, and the person who answered said that they should if treated correctly. So, we came in Saturday and purchased cupcakes for the party. Flash forward to Monday, and I'm headed to a store nearby and notice that Frosted Cakery is open. Turns out they were open especially for the holiday, but never was this mentioned to me when I called. We could have had fresh cupcakes for the party, and while they were still fine, we would have preferred cupcakes from the same day. This seems like a pretty big customer service failure to me, so I need to take off two stars for it. Otherwise, though, everything is great about this bakery!

I found this place on Instagram. They posted about some Mother's Day items so I decided to go get something for my sister in law. I also got one of the gluten free salted caramel cupcakes which was super good. The girl at the counter was friendly and answered all our questions about pricing. They also advertise dog cupcakes so I'll be back to get one for my dog's birthday!

We love Frosted Cakery's tower location so had to come try the other location on Bullard and west! Great service and tasty treats always the best

My personal experience:I found the cake quality at Frosted Cakery's Bullard location to be quite good for 65 dollar cake. However, my overall experience was disappointing. I purchased a birthday cake expecting it to be personalized with 'Happy Birthday,' but they couldn't accommodate that here -- a service apparently exclusive to their Tower District location. Additionally, I was surprised to find they didn't even have birthday candles available for sale. If I had known these limitations, I would have chosen to order from their Tower District location instead.Live and Learn I guess

I came in for cupcakes (which are amazing by the way) and I grabbed a chocolate cream pie as a treat for myself and OMG this little pie is sooooo good and creamy and the crust so flaky and delicious!!!!
