Walking around with my friends after breakfast we came upon this super cool looking shop and decided to give it a look. It had so many cool, alternative clothing, records, cds and bracelets!! The cashier was super nice and helpful whenever we had any questions! It was so cool to see a store like this in Fresno and my friends and I were so excited we found this store. I ended up buying some cute earrings, some delicious essential oil rollers and a powderpuff vinyl decal for my car! This is a must shop if you're ever visiting Fresno county!!

Pro:- anything and everything, all of it. Yes. - vinyls, sage, candles, stickers, jewelry, tie dye clothes, and so much more- rewards punch card (cashier/owner gave me an extra punch just because he's the sweetest. Worst record store in town, not a question! While first getting into the record hobby I did not know of many places, but this was one I was told about by a friend. Neither of us had been, but we thought might as well check it out. My first visit was meh, the record selection wasn't amazing but the prices were incredibly steep. When asking the owner about an album he claimed he had "thousands" in the back just waiting to be priced and that supposedly he had great stuff. So I decided to return again, begrudgingly, and it was worse. The prices were even higher this visit and the owner was overall just rude and dismissive of any questions or interests. After that I went to Ragin' Records right down the street to the right and got a record for nearly half of what Free Bird was offering. AVOID FOR RECORDS! Stick with Ragin, Tower District, and the Clovis Antique Mall.

the guy who owns free bird is the worst. last week when i was looking around the store he became convinced that I was shoplifting because i left without buying anything. when i decided to come back to purchase something he tried to play it off and say he just wanted to make sure i was getting customer serviced. i felt like i was being a bit discriminated against a bit. if you always see this store empty when you walk by, the owner might be the reason why.

Owner didn't like me recording because I didn't ask. So much for making good memories I would recommend Amazon or Facebook marketplace

When I walk into Free Bird down in the Tower it takes me back to Greenwich Village in the 70's. That's where Crazy Bernie's story started and I'm just so glad that there's a time machine I can walk into and score deals on CDs Albums Shirts and all kinds of awesome collectibles. My Grand daughter Sienna and I stop in every Saturday after piano lessons. She's an even bigger fan than me.

My son came to visit me, and visited this store, and purchased a LP record. Unfortunately going to play said record upon returning home to San Francisco the LP in the jacket was not the one that was showing on the cover. I had returned with him for a few days, and when I came back to Fresno I went to the shop, and explained the cover did not match the contents. However, the very rude man behind the counter all but accused my son of swapping it out himself, and refused to refund the meager $8, pointing to All Sales Are Final, oh really even though you have obviously made the mistake. He finally said I could look around and pick something else, I do not think so, it would cost more to post an LP. I finally advised him that although it would not fit he knew where he could put it.

Terrible prices and quality. Owner doesn't treat the younger shoppers with respect. ALWAYS watches cameras extra hard when I or my friends/siblings come in (we are people of color) and keeps an uncomfortable eye on us. Sells damaged records and marks the price up higher than he's supposed to sell for. DOES NOT DO RETURNS FOR A REASON, and keeps his "all sales final" sign covered up until you try and return something. He only offers store credit to buy more shitty product with. Don't come here, spend your money elsewhere.

wish i could give it 0 stars :( owner is misogynistic, every time i have brought one of my male friends in he was super kind, but when me and my sister went he tried to scam us and wouldn't expect the gift certificates we had. sad too see such a cool record store being run by someone so rude.

The older man who works behind the counter here is completely rude and stand-offish.Against my better judgment, my bf wanted to go inside to see if it was the record store that an acquaintance of our's owns (also in Tower). I knew it wasn't by appearance alone, but my bf was not convinced. We strolled inside and the older man glanced at us and made no attempt to greet us. His demeanor was extremely uninviting, and so it fared true during our short visit.My bf attempted to strike up a friendly conversation, asking if there was a man by the name of (insert our acquaintance's name) here and he shortly shut down the convo, saying he knew no one by that name. My bf attempted to converse, explaining that our acquaintance also owns a record shop in Tower, to which the man displayed zero interest.He had a cute dog perched on a pillow upon the counter, and so my bf again, attempted to be friendly, asking what the dog's name was. My bf misheard the man muttering the dog's name under his breath, and the man proceeded to basically shout the dog's name at us. After that, I was done. I immediately insisted that we leave as we were clearly not welcomed.
