Such a hidden gem for fast and affordable Chinese food in Fresno! It may not get the recognition as some other spots but this place gives you huge amounts of food for a very inexpensive price. It seems more as a takeout spot rather than dine in although there is plenty of seating inside . The service is very friendly and the staff are accommodating to requests. They have a pretty large menu so definitely something for everyone.

I have been going to Fongs since I was 15 and it's still as good as it was back then(I'm 39 now). They're always very polite and accommodating.

I came in late when it was dark. Nobody was dining in but, many people ordering takeout. Food was fast, plentiful, and delicious.

A small and run downed mom & pop shop. Wouldn't recommend for dine in considering the area and run downed place. But would be good if your in the area and pick up some American-Chinese take out food though! For the price and quantity they give you, I give this place 4/5 stars. The pork and chicken were crispy but the meat inside was very dry and a bit hard to chew. Also we had order pork chow mein but received pork chop suey (pan fried noodles in gravy). The chop suey was good and flavorful but definitely different from the chow mein the kids are used to eating. Unfortunately the kids skipped out on this dinner because they are picky! If your ordering to go, you can ask for sauce on the side so the chicken or pork doesn't get soggy.

Been going to Fong's on Maple and Tulare for nearly 20 years. The food rarely disappoints but the level of service towards their customers is lacking severely. Today on Mother's Day, I went in to pick up an order that was close to $100. The order included two orders of fried shrimp and I had to beg for hot mustard. The lady who is always there gave me two (2). We also had to ask for our fortune cookies which my family loves getting to this day because they don't include if you don't ask...well they have had no issue raising prices nearly 20% over the last couple of years. Might be time to find some new options out of the local area. It's too bad because I believe they have a loyal fan base but they are taking us for granted.
