My 1.2 year old daughter has been in day care at First Church of God for 3 weeks. The staff have been amazing to my daughter and to me as she gets acclimated to day care and new people. They keep me up to date on all the events of her day.

My daughter attended this preschool for a couple months and at first it seemed like the perfect program. However she started getting sick all the time and she would complain about her teachers being mean to her. At first I thought she was just attached to mom and didn't want me to take her. It started getting harder and harder to drop her off. Honestly I had a bad feeling with the director and her teacher. I wanted a place where my daughter would feel loved and appreciated and this place wasn't it. I went with my gut and dropped her even though i paid and lost $170 eNrollmennt fee along with tuition. I found peace now that my daughter is enrolled in another program and absolutely loves it! Just thankful I decided to leave this place. Good luck mommas! I pray that you find the best place for your children.

The staff truly loves the kids (even the ones in other classes). The materials they teach are substantive and wholesome, very Christian. The meals are great, facilities safe and clean, and they do a lot of fun special activities for the kids throughout the year. Tuition prices are great and hours are very flexible. Our family loves First Church! We have been enrolled 2 years, from 10 weeks to nearly 2.5 years old

They seem amazing on paper. If you're a parent that dropped their kids off and goes they probably seem like a dream facility. I am a 'crazy mom' who needs to meet and know what's going to happen with my child. The director and Asst. Director are 2 of 4 of the teachers for the younger classrooms. They are older and give a grand-parent feel. In retrospect they probably should have retired long ago but still want a paycheck so they stay. They don't do this anymore because they love the kids. That is apparent. When I asked to meet staff my daughter will be with and know my daughters schedule before leaving her they required I pay the non-refundable enrollment fee. Stating, "...this disturbs their classroom." I paid because the class was small and it was a religious facility, what could go wrong? But, i wasn't about to leave my child alone with staff I had not met. So I stayed and observed. What I witnessed first hand, had me running for the hills. A poor little baby, that wasn't able to speak yet, approximately 13 months old, the teacher put him down roughly by one arm because he was crying, let him fall backwards and instead of checking his head where he hit, she let his cries turned into screams. She then came back, stood over him and told him "stop it you're fine!" In a negative tone and walked away. All in front of a NEW POTENTIAL PARENT! I would think they would be on their best behavior. I refuse to let my daughter be in the care of un-compassionate and a potential safety concerns because staff lacks patience.Another issue with the facility is the transparency. I was told my daughters schedule would be what was provided to me at enrollment. I do understand that not everyday can be exact, especially with toddlers. However, the schedule provided was not anything near the regular schedule the children have. I was told her teacher would be Pat, the Asst. Director, and she would be in room 2. In reality she would have 4 different teachers, in 2 different rooms, which I was not introduced to or even informed of until I did an observation day. Even though I had asked repeatedly to be informed. Their staff and facility felt as if it were constantly hiding something or just didn't care to make parents feel comfortable. After the director, Lisa, was informed of the incident, she responded with defensiveness and agitation saying she "will NOT be making any changes." They have several complaints with licensing that staff made anonymously regarding other staff pulling kids by the arm, force feeding and yelling/intimidating the kiddos that attend their facility. So what I witnessed, unfortunately is nothing new. They require a 'non-refundable' $175 fee for school supplies and other things. After requesting our money back since she will not be attending and had not attended a class yet, used their supplies, ate their food or drank their milk/water- we were told absolutely not. Now we are having to obtain an attorney to help us.Parents, please do your research before committing to leaving your babies. Just because they look great on paper, does not mean they are.

We have been fortunate enough to have our two sons enrolled here for daycare. It's an amazing place with awesome staff. I particularly love the fact that our children participate in daily prayer as well as chapel time. We've had a wonderful experience with staff as well as other families and students that are enrolled. I have experienced teachers who genuinely care about the well being of the students. I highly recommend having your child enrolled in this program!!!

My daughter, has been attending this daycare since she was 9 months old, she is currently 4 years old and is happily attending Pre-K! Along with a great curriculum, the Christian values that are being installed are amazing; nothing makes my heart glow more then hearing my sweet baby girl sing her worship songs. We LOVED having Teacher Pat and Shannon (who has sadly moved on), but love how communicative Teacher Melissa and Teacher K are. I'm always greeted with a smile and words of encouragement. I have bad anxiety and I really appreciate that when I text her teacher to see how she's doing her teacher is always more then happy to give me and update (which usually includes a picture that just melts that stress away). Any 'issues' I've ever had, have been addressed and swiftly fixed, Mrs. A is very attentive and always helpful. Everyone even down to the lunch lady is super kind, my daughter knows everyone by name and just LOVES going to school each day. *The campus is clean, welcoming and VERY secure! Whenever I send my sister or best friend to pick up my daughter they always make sure they repot to the office to make sure they are on the release card and ALWAYS check ID before releasing my child. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility; they will work with your income!

I was a teacher at FCOGEEC for over the past year and am no longer employed there... and to see the review from "Sandra R" was so disheartening. To know that our heart posture has been to love her children despite the lack of support from her parenting.... Bringing her children to school late, unclean, not feed.... we provided her son out of our own pocket... diapers, nap items and nourishment that he needed... as she continued to pick him up late and uninvolved... yet we took her son under our wings with unconditional love as he continued to receive grace knowing their situation... we blessed her family during the Christmas season my son's workplace blessed her family with toys, clothes, food and supplies while she was unemployed... we felt compelled to extend ourselves so they would have hope and experience God's love while we dealt with extensive behavioral outbursts that were unsafe for a two year old to display... unsafe to himself and others in ways I won't describe... we overlooked it because we loved him and wanted to see him overcome...It's sad when a family demands their way and leaves a review as she did knowing we extended ourselves further than was ever required because we follow Jesus who leaves the 99 to go after the One in love

Do not take your kids here! If you aren't the typical god fearing soccer mom they will treat you and your kid like sh*t. The women in charge of this place is very judgmental and very unwelcoming. This place also does not know how to handle kids. They will call you to pick up your kids if they start crying. My son is 2 years old and they would call everyday because my son "had a tantrum". My son is 2. If you are running a daycare wouldn't you expect them to know how to handle 2 years old little kids? My son is a very loving sweet boy at home and this place made him feel very uncomfortable. He is a mixed boy so they definitely had some grudge against him. Teacher A even had the audacity to say "he is fighting something deep on the inside" because he was crying with her. As if they aren't the ones that are the problem. This place gave me so many issues. I even had my 4 year old son who has autism go there for a little bit and they treated him like he's a terrible kid. Now he goes to a different daycare and not once have I ever received a call that he was miss behaving or having any issues. So if you want you and your kids to be mistreated and judged then go to First church of God. The only good thing about this place is teacher Samantha.
