You could not ask for a more friendly and service oriented business. You are always greeted upon entering the Garden by friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Joy is just the best. She really knows her plants. In addition, this small nursery is just a delight to walk through. Very attractive and relaxing. Also, don't see what you are looking for? You need 3 but only 2 on the shelf? No problem, they have their own wholesale nursery just a few miles away, so they can likely still fill your needs, and if they don't have what you want, they will make every effort to get it for you. One last added bonus. This nursery is really part of the community, hosting craft classes, fundraisers, and always decorating for the holidays, including a Halloween Haunted House, and pictures with Santa.

Fernwood gardens is a unique nursery that also sells vintage signs, decor etc. The gardens have started doing small food truck events there as well. The local Grayview brewing was at the Madera animal charity event the gardens hosted and a local taco shop -just check there social media for upcoming event info. Most everything you see hanging is for sale. The woman who owns and runs the gardens has always been helpful, nice and is very knowledgeable about the plants she sells. Her husband is the collector and you can find his picks of vintage goods placed throughout, if you see something you like there should be a price tag or they have a price list too -just ask for help. Staff here are very helpful too, the gardens are setup nicely and is full of plants and trees not commonly found at most local home improvement chains. You can find a variety of trees that are not the usual like chocolate persimmon trees, a good variety of cactuses all sizes. The selection of trees are one of my favorite things. I definitely would recommend this place to our community..

Came in here because of a post my wife saw. They had a bounce house, hot dog lunch available for sale, facepainting, beer and of course plants. The plants they offer are healthy and well taken care of. We snagged a bunch and headed out. We wnjoyed our day and headed home to put plants in pots. We will be back another day with the kids. Thank you.

Not quite sure what happened to this quaint little nursery, but it's not the place it once was. It used to feature unique items not easily found at other nurseries. They don't have houseplants anymore, the variety of unique outdoor plants has changed even. The entire place is now just a typical nursery. It used to be special and somewhere that I would always check with first. Not anymore. Staff seem to be bothered when I asked a question about a certain plant. Prices also seem to have gone up dramatically. What a sad change in the community.

You might catch them on a good day, which I have but most times the nursery business side is neglected. Maybe all the events and such are more important but when most times I go in, i get a quick hello and its back to their conversation. If I ask a question it seems like I'm bothering them. This place is convenient but not my first choice.

We were looking for fruit trees and found a good selection. It is a lovely atmosphere and staff was extremely helpful and patient. Prices were fair and less than other places we had shopped. Definitely worth checking out.
