Farnesi's Steakhouse

Like most restaurants these days, short staff and over priced. Took a very long time for the food to come out and prices were very high. The service was good which was their saving grace. I recommend if you're in a hurry, do not go to this place. Or maybe go during non peak hours

Food and drinks were great! Services was awesome. The Waitress was so sweet and helpful.

A local's favorite diner, restaurant and bar. Right off the 99 in Chowchilla. It's a little tucked away behind a motel and gas station but it's well worth finding. When you enter Farnesi's, you have your choice of eating in the diner side (booths, lunch counter, ketchup bottles on the table) or going into the more upscale area to the right (white linen table cloths, crystal glasses, definitely more posh). It's kind of a trip. Whichever side you choose, you're going to eat well. I typically get the Chicken Masala or the Fried Chicken or Ribeye Steak or the French Dip, I could pretty much rattle off the whole menu. The food is great, the waitresses are awesome. They keep your glass topped off. Just a great restaurant.

The food has absolutely improved here and I've tried a variety including this Mile High Grilled Cheese. Flavor is amazing see the melted cheese and thousand island dressing with the ham, turkey and crisp bacon, all on a crusted cheese bread. Heavenly and so large could only eat half which means 2 meals for the price.

Got here at lunch time. Ordered the meatloaf and hot beef sandwich. Awesome.Service was fast, pleasant and efficient.Ambiance was a classic hiway 99 sort of establishment. Restroom was clean.Try it out, lots better than a chain restaurant or burger joint.

Best food ever. Very cozy, food was very very good. Customer service off the hook. Lots of upgrades been done.

Classic retro steakhouse diner. Friendly attentive service, Thank you John. Old school dinning room. Delicious food with great portion sizes. Hubby's pork chops were moist and delicious with crisp fries and green beans with bacon and onion. My BLT pasta had a wonderful cream sauce with plenty of bacon, tomato and sautéed spinach mixed into the pasta. A wonderful find along the road. Wouldn't hesitate to stop again when we are back in the area.

I had the California burger with garlic fries and my brother had the porterhouse with veggies and fries. Mine was amazing. I highly recommend the garlic fries. He enjoyed the steak and fries but he doesn't do veggies so those don't get a review. Try this place. I hope you enjoy it too.

First off the food was perfect. This time my office got 3 different pasta trays for lunch for all the employees. There was plenty of food and we ordered for the amount of people here. (No intentional extra orders). The Shrimp Alfredo and Spaghetti were delicious and the Chipotle Chicken Pasta was sooo good and probably the first to go!We have used Farnesi's before for office meals and they are all very well done. Bravo to the chef and kitchen staff!The restaurant is always clean and in order. It is a diner in the front so it is not fancy but the remodel work that has taken place is beautiful!Now I want to take a moment and brag on the staff. They are always so welcoming and personal. (They greet you by name if you've been more than a couple times!) They are always kind and they are always helpful. Amanda was so polite and she is always a joy to deal with. This time I had more interactions with Carly and she was just as I expected. Helpful, (helped take my food to the car) kind, and funny. She alone would make you want to come into Farnesi's. Her skills as a waitress are more than impressive. I don't think she has to write much down, her memory is that good. She is an absolute pleasure to be around and I hope her supervisor knows how blessed they are to have her working there!! I will continue to recommend Farnesi's to anyone looking for a place in Chowchilla, CA!
