Updating, as I have been into this store several times since my first visit and have had more positive interactions with all of the staff. The selection for holiday items is great, and just every day stuff too. I typically go in "looking for something" and I usually find something like what I'm looking for and then some! I also love that they will post items on their stories on social media. You can then call the store and buy it using your credit, a payment app or card, and they will hold it for you for 24 hours. I've sold with them too, and I honestly like that I can just drop off items with them and they will buy what they can sell and donate the rest. It's maybe not for some folks-because some want the items not purchase back, and they have that option too! I just prefer not to hassle with waiting or taking back items. They also do appointments, but they are SO hard to get. If you aren't looking at the appointments for the week ahead on the hour, they are rarely open. That and the organization still gets me confused sometimes, so still 4 stars.

Oh how I love a secondhand baby store! (This one has toddler and children stuff as well). I've been planning this trip for awhile to go try this store out. I have an 8 month old and I was looking for mostly 12 to 18 month clothing, girl or gender neutral. I showed up at opening. They take sellers for walk up but are limited on how many they accept for walk in per day it seems, so get there very early if you don't have an appointment and want to sell.I did not do any selling this trip. This store was fairly organized compared to other secondhand stores I've been to. The clothing was generally organized well by size and I liked that they had a very professional inventory/tagging system. I didn't quite understand the clearance section vs normal section and some areas were a little choppy trying to figure out what was what, but it could have been much worse. I have retail management experience so my expectations on organization is a little higher than most I'd say. There were plenty of clothing items here. Mostly your average brands such as carters, cat and jack, garanimals, etc. Very few higher end brands, which are always my favorite finds secondhand.Pricing was fairly reasonable. It's not low initially here on the tag, but they have sales/clearance and they also do a first responder discount which was an awesome surprise. There is a loyalty program for discounts as well! So overall I think things were decent price wise for what I was getting. Toy wise, there were some quality finds. Loved that they had baby carriers, breastfeeding pillows, swing/bouncers, and baths. They also had quite a variety of shoes and lots of young children's age sport needs like cleats, shin guards, etc.There was definitely a huge influx of newborn to 9 month clothing for girls section and I had a little mote trouble finding good variety in my range of 12 month and 18 month. Also not a ton of sleepers with zippers. All things considered, my service at check out was friendly. I never felt rushed or crammed. Things were pretty organized. I ended up taking about 4 or 5 clothing items and a Zany Zoo toy. I highly recommend shopping here! Help reduce toy/clothing waste and save yourself some money!

It took me awhile to decide if I wanted to review this place. I don't like to give bad reviews on any businesses in this economy, I just don't shop there anymore. I really feel that the public needs to be aware of this establishment.Let's start with, it's a great business concept to only resell clothing for children. I will say that the prices are a little high. Customer service is very dry and rude. I've been going to this place to shop for my daughter since it's hard to find clothes for her because she is a very tall and thin child. I finally decided to ask if I can sell the clothes that don't fit my kids. Well let me tell you this place is a ripoff. I do not recommend selling your clothing to them and I don't recommend shopping at this establishment with how rude the staff is and how little they give you on your items . I've read the other reviews on here and they are all right on point, the staff needs to be retrained and not be so greedy with the payouts. I'm sure they get a lot of donations as what they give you for your items you are basically donating . So you can either make an appointment or drop off , I did drop off. I brought in 7snow suits and 3 pairs of snow boots and one pair of cowboy boots and they wanted to give me $12 for everything. I said no thank you I would rather give them away to someone's child than to be insulted with that amount. Mind you it was snow season. They didn't want to give me my items back due to their form they have you sign . I told them they never told me the percentage they would payout so they finally agreed to give my items back. I live in Sanger so I told them it wouldn't be able to stop by until tuesday since it was Friday when the items were dropped off and Monday was a holiday. When i showed up on Tuesday they said they donated my items and the items were gone. The person working there was so rude to me. I will never shop there and will spread the word to my friends and family to not shop there also. They do not deserve a star from me and I have never wished for a business to shutdown ever but the employees at this establishment are so greedy and rude!

Great resale store for children's clothing and shoes! I have found phenomenal bargains for name brand items that are in new condition. Their inventory is easy to access with sizes clearly marked on the racks. I've not consigned anything there but I see lots of happy transactions while shopping. I recommend this store for anything you need in the way of baby and kids item.

I really love Fairy Godmother's Closet! This is a great place if you wish to receive money for your gently used kid items. I have been coming here for years to both sell items and purchase too. As long as you follow their guidelines and processes for selling, it is awesome! Being specific and strategic is how this business continues to maintain quality in their selling and buying experiences for customers. I have always been pleased with the payouts for my kids' things. If you consider the time and effort it would take to either try to resell your stuff on ebay, or have a yardsale...it is truly a no-brainer. This business offers a fantastic service to the community and allows for technically recycling & resuing of items for families who truly need or want them. In my recent experience here, I was pleased to be able to interact with Jerica & many more of the staff- love how they are always happy to answer questions and just plain chat. The store is super well organized, always clean, and of course you never know what treasures you may come across for your kiddos since new things come in daily. I have really appreciated the new with tag items that were of course a fraction of the cost of buying them at the original store.Tips: Go ahead and check their website for all guidelines for selling, super helpful to know in advance. If you think you may purchase items at the store, and are selling too- have them put your payout on the store credit prior to paying you out- because you will receive a discount on your purchase.Thanks Fairy Godmother's Closet, see you again soon!

I've been in this store a handful of times and their staff is not so welcoming nor friendly. Not once have I ever been greeted or helped. I have only bought from here and don't think I would ever sell, based on the other negative reviews.Just recently, I waited around to be rung up while the two ladies behind the counter were busy ticketing. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store. It always feels like I am inconveniencing them whenever I am shopping in here. The items are moderately priced. If you're lucky, you can find a good deal otherwise, I'd rather shop on Amazon and not worry about dealing with their employee attitudes.I'm all for shopping local but I will no longer support due to their poor customer service.

I've been here several times and today will be the last time I'll shop there. The front desk staff are unprofessional and unwelcoming. Disappointing interaction with trade-in process as well.

Updated review 8/31/2024I returned a previously purchased outfit that was miss-matched. I was given store credit and able to find another comfy outfit as a replacement. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My favorite local business!!! I have only purchased from here. I have not sold to them so I cannot speak on that experience. As far as purchasing from them everything is reasonably priced and I have always found everything clean and inviting. I always look here first when I am shopping for something specific for my son before paying full price at another store. They always have seasonal clothes at the front which I love and everything is well organized by size so I can just go straight to whatever size my son is in and look through only that section!

I have been shopping and selling here about 2 years .They are picky what they are taking with their items which I love. I just donated whatever they don't take. I am satisfied with the service and their items.Only cons take me 20-25 mins , I wish they are closer.Overall good place to shop for second hand .
