Overall hotel quality is good. Front desk isn't the friendliest. Hotel room is nice . Bedding clean, and overall a comfortable stay.

We tried reaching out to management and have still yet to hear back about this issue. We've stayed at other Marriott hotels and have always had a great experience, but as you can see in the photos, our room did not live up any Marriott standards. We paid $230 for the room for one night and this is what we got...The shower had black mold throughout. The bathroom had strange dark liquid stains on the walls near the sink and above the toilet. The desk was strangely covered in dust and dirt. What is also unsettling is the mold in the shower has been there awhile and the hotel staff have obviously seen this black mold repeatedly and felt nothing was wrong about this. It would take a maintenance professional all of 5 minutes to remove and replace the molded caulking. Most disturbingly, our room was located next to what seemed to be a boiler room. A little hum would have been fine but loud banging noises occurred every 15 minutes throughout the night, shaking and vibrating the entire bed and making it impossible for us to get any rest that night. We recorded a video of what we're talking about. See and hear it for yourself.Given the unacceptable condition of the room and the repeated disturbances which did not allow us to sleep, we requested a refund and still haven't heard back. Marriott corporate customer service only offered us reward points as a consolation, which equated to maybe 10% of the cost of the room.We visit yosemite on a regular basis throughout the year and were really looking forward to making this Marriott our go-to hotel for our yosemite trips, but this experience has left us thinking otherwise..

Fairfield Inn is at the lower end of the Marriott spectrum, so I didn't get my hopes too high to start with. As retired military, I opted for the military/government rate when I booked online with Marriott. The young lady gave me a bit of a hassle because I was retired, not active duty. The Marriott website says nothing about that, and I've been doing it for years. She "did me favor" and honored my rate anyway. There is a $10 nuisance fee for parking, in a wide open plain parking lot. I guess just because they can. The room was as expected, although an uncomfortable mattress and threadbare towels. Breakfast was also as expected, mass-produced food. Any port in a storm!

This hotel is only a little over two years old. I found it to be quite well maintained and a comfortable place to stay. Interestingly, it is sandwiched right in the middle between two other hotels, the Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn Express, which look very strikingly similarly. It turns out all three of these hotels were built at the same exact time, and the franchises for all three hotels are actually even under common management. The only reason I gave this hotel 4 stars rather than 5 is because I thought the breakfast here was not quite as nice as what I've typically been offered at other Fairfield's. In particular, the orange juice served at the breakfast here was very heavily watered down, which I find to be a common practice at many hotels in their quest to save money. However, I do notice the difference, and would prefer to have my orange juice the way it is originally sold.

We stayed here the week of 8/6/24. Michelle at the front desk assured me that the accommodations I needed were met and when we got there to check in - she remembered our call! Mentioned it and reassured me that I had all I needed!! She also recommended South Gate Brewery and the burgers and garlic fries! She was so right!!! Thank you Michelle!! We are breakfast there the next morning and Teresa was non-stop!! She's a powerhouse! Super friendly, was on top of all the food and beverages! She never stopped, super friendly - felt like I was at my Aunt's house! And she was by herself. Thank you Teresa!!! If we come back they - we will definitely stay here!!!

We stayed here while taking a trip to Yosemite, it is off of Hwy 41 and on the main street in Oakhurst. It is one of the better hotels here in Oakhurst and I would recommend this place probably more than any of the other hotels here which is my opinion. It is spacious, has ample parking, near restaurants and not far from Yosemite entrance off of Hwy 41. The room is nice and spacious, double bed, flat screen TV with plenty of channels, mini fridge, microwave. nice bathroom unfortunately soap dispenser not serviced. No room service on a daily basis, has a gym, ice machine on every floor. Breakfast is good and sufficient room for the guests. Pet fee is $50.00 per dog.I would recommend this hotel if you come to visit Yosemite.

Fairfield Inn is on the lower leg of the Marriott brand; it's great for families since breakfast is included, business travel, or a quick nights stay. We are Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy members so this room cost us around 35k points, with an upgrade to a suite upon arrival. The suite had a separate seating area with an additional TV. We found it to be clean and spacious. The king was very comfortable with stark white clean sheets. The elevators could use a good scrub but other than that, I was very pleased with the location. The $10 parking fee was sort of absurd since it's an open lot and you're not in a big city or downtown anywhere. There are hardly any chain hotels in this area (right before Yosemite) so it was nice to see a familiar brand with standards. The BBQ joint across the street is legit!

For my recent wedding near Yosemite, this was the hotel we selected for our guests. The sales department was very helpful with setting up group rates and a code for guests to book reservations. Our guests enjoyed their stay and didn't have any complaints. They mentioned the free hot breakfast and various options were perfect and nice to not have to eat out for breakfast. Good location and reasonable distance to the national park, too.

Overall, a good experience. Shout to Amber at the front desk letting us check in early and getting us a room on the top floor. It was quiet in the room, which is something important to me in a hotel. The room itself had the typical newer Marriott aesthetic and was comfy. Parking was free, so whatever parking charge that was mentioned in previous reviews seems to be gone now.A few opportunities for improvement: we had a bunch of small dead bugs in our bathroom, on the corners of the walls and the ceiling above the shower. Almost like an exterminator had been there but a few of the dead bug bodies weren't removed. Honestly, I think it's acceptable for a place like Yosemite, as long as the bugs aren't nuzzled directly into my bed, but would've preferred if they weren't there. Additionally, breakfast was just okay, and it was always super crowded. It looks like maybe they let people from the other two hotels use the breakfast? But whether we went at 6:30 or 8:30 it was crazy and crowded and they were always out of something.Still pleasant overall and would return.
