6/8/24 Getting lunch! Called and ordered a chicken torta with jalapeños and shrimp ceviche. A little difficult with English, but it worked out. Lunchtime!!Order split. 1/2 of the chicken torta was fresh & absolutely DELICIOUS! The hot sauce they included was really hot and Great! Made it even better!! Tender, tasty shredded chicken & fresh torta bread!!1/2 of the shrimp ceviche was Great! Fresh & flavorful atop the taco shell included! Mother said her half was "wow" Great! Really enjoyed it all!!Good service & GREAT lunch!! Highly recommended!!

I ordered caldo de pollo & albondigas. I was expecting flavor and I just didn't get any. I had to add salt & more seasonings to it, maybe it was an off day but it lacked flavor & my chicken was extremely dry. The only good thing was the red salsa. I probably won't try it again.

This was a massive burrito. I had the carnitas burrito and it was delicious. Basically busting at the seams, I probably shouldn't have eaten the whole thing. Will be going again soon. My Spanish isn't good, but we communicated just fine.

I was CRAVING a taco from La Elegante, but they were closed.So, I pulled up yelp and found this place just right down the street (literally 600 feet away, yay for location) +1I walk in (around lunchtime) and there are only about 3 other people here. So I became a bit skeptical. -.5The cashier was kind and helpful. +1I ordered a carne asada taco and a carne asada torta... The order came out in about 7 minutes +1I opened the box and there was one lime for the taco. But, no napkins, salsa. -1The carne asada meat is flavorful. +1Although, the torta and the taco tasted a bit bland and dry. -1I think the corn tortilla is homemade. +1The total came out to $8. +1There you go, I'll probably try it again, but definitely ask for more lime, salsa, guacamole and napkins...

Very delicious food. I'm a constant return customer. Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant.

Best authentic Mexican food ever!! I love this place I use to go everyday until my work shift changed! Food has so much flavor and they have great customer service! Hidden Gem best prices in Fresno. I've tried their tacos with the homemade shells, regular tacos, wet burritos, menudo, asada fries,pancakes and bacon. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow!

Not sure when it happened, but what used to be Ofelia's is now Esperanza's Cocina. The food tastes the same as the last time I was here. Had the adovada sopes with rice and beans. Hubby special ordered fish sopes which aren't on the menu. Still tasty as ever.

It's like going to your Tia's for lunch, Shes yelling out asking for special requests, your Tio is trying to get everyone seated, it's chaos all over the place but it's all love. The food is delicious and you might wait a long time or you might get it right away but either way it's worth it. The prices are so low it's suspect but I feel fine! I was a little worried I might get mugged walking up but I'm Glad I stopped, you should too. BTW, I had beef stew and tacos al pastor.

What an amazing place! We're coming back from Sequoia National Park and decided to stop in Fresno for lunch. You wouldn't expect it, but the food here was probably the highlight of the trip. Walking in, it felt very homey and we were greeted with the owner of the restaurant. She was warm and welcoming and sat us down. Right away, we got chips and salsa. The chips tasted freshly made and had a spicy seasoning on them, and was accompanied by a fresh tomato and onion salsa. I got the wet burrito with carnitas and was amazed when it came out! It was huge! It was stuffed with rice, carnitas, and cabbage. They also brought out three different sauces: chipotle, hot sesame, and serrano. My friends got tacos and they looked delicious. All the items are under $10 and seems like the perfect place for a lunch. Tips - Don't get the beans and rice on the side if you get a wet burrito, it's already a ton of food without it. Pros - Warm and inviting hole in the wall restaurant. Taste of homemade Mexican food. Free chips and salsa. The horchata here was just sweet enough! Cons - Don't come here if you are in a rush! The iced coffee here is super sweet

The food is really good here! Im not fluent in Spanish but the stuff was really helpful. Definitely try the Menudo and Posole!
