Emmie's Sidewalk Cafe

Stopped by after Christmas to try this local coffee shop. Ordered a Mocha, great chocolate and coffee flavor. Ambience and service were both great. I will return next time I am in the area for another mocha.Thank you

Well....I really wanted to like this place :(They do have delicious lattes and baked goods. I bought the holiday vacy latte. It has coconut, toasted marshmallows, and vanilla. Very obvious flavors. The second I tried it, I knew the girl forgot to put syrup in it. I went back and let her know and she said "are you sure? I made it like normal." And I'm thinking... girl, don't gaslit me. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they use very little syrup so I asked her how much syrup. She started telling me and immediately I knew, she forgot the syrup. I asked for a new drink and she said, "sure! I'll give you a discount on this one." And I'm thinking... what??? You messed up my drink and you're giving me a discount on a new one? But I don't like making a big deal out of things so I said okay sure. Sure enough, the second drink definitely had coconut and vanilla. It was good. But it just threw me off. I was really frustrated and to be honest, I probably won't go back.

My second visit to this new coffee shop. They use mariposa coffee which I love. Pastries looked yummy but I try to stay away from the carbs. They looked good but didn't order food. Got an amaricano with oat milk and lavender and vanilla. The large was 5.25 which wasn't bad at all. This place was pretty busy today. Actually didn't have a place to sit for a little while. Would be cool if they had books or games. Looks like a cool chill spot. Suggestion: Gluten free options, or something carb freeLoved: that the barista asked me specific questions on how I wanted my coffee while she was making it. I really appreciated that extra care.

10/2/24Checking it out! Heard good things about it. Arrived! Greeted by kind worker. The worker was Great! Very kind and easy to talk to. Recommended her fave, the seasonal peach cobbler latte! Yum! Ordered that with almond milk. Paid for it with a short wait. Very cute little cafe. Kind of hidden away. Seating inside side tables and a comfy couch. Music playing and a Great atmosphere! Received drink shortly later after chatting with the Great worker and received drink with good day wishes!! Appreciated! =) Wow! DELICIOUS drink with Great fall cinnamon peachy flavor too! Great service also!! Highly recommended!! Hidden gem everyone!! =)

There's an Art event happening and Hannah was the only one working for a rush and she did amazing ! My Berry Chai Latte was super good. The music they play as well is good.

So happy to have a local coffee shop to frequent! I stopped by at 7:15 am on a weekday. The space is open and bright with plenty of seating for the size of the space. The barista that served me was very friendly. I ordered a 16 oz matcha latte and a blueberry scone for $10. The matcha latte had a great smooth taste. The blueberry scone was delicious, not dry at all as some can be. I was in and out in about 5 mins. I will definitely return!

Great service to start. Greeted as I entered. Helped to make some choices from their delicious menu. The dining room is spacious and there was someone studying in the lobby at a large table. There's room for all your friends to come support this local cafe. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, the peach cobbler latte, and a pumpkin cream cheese danish. Everything was amazing.

Really enjoyed the pumpkin pie iced latte with oat milk. Barista was kind and I didn't have to wait long at all for my drink! So glad madera finally has a cute little coffee shop!

Locally owned, this spot is right off 99 and 16 so a quick run is ideal for anyone passing up Madera. I love the banana bread latte. I have always wanted to try Emmie's Sidewalk Cafe when they were a food truck. I am so happy to see them evolve and have their local spot. Please support this locally-owned cafe.

This is the second time I've had a bad experience at Emmie's Sidewalk Café. Both times, the staff didn't greet me and came off as rude.On my most recent visit, I waited about five minutes before anyone even took my order. When I asked for a Matcha drink with the strawberry cold foam top(matcha berry on the menu), the worker repeatedly tried to discourage me from ordering it, saying it would take longer to make. I told her multiple times that I was fine with the wait, but she kept pushing back, almost as if she didn't want to make it at all.Although I agreed to wait for the drink, she made about 4 different drinks along with 4 different food items to customers who ordered after me. I waited 30 minutes for only ONE drink. At this point, it just feels like the staff doesn't care about customer service. It's disappointing because I wanted to enjoy this place, but I don't think I'll be coming back after this.
