El Nuevo Tlaquepaque

Food was great. Served fast and hot. It reminded me of an old restaurant from the neighborhood. Beans are made with lard and tasty. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone even if you need to travel to it.

Very well worth our drive from porterville to try this Mexican restaurant. Delicious food and perfect wait staff and every one stopping by to check on the food. Very happy lunch.

This is the very first spot that actually has a good flavored chunky MiLD SALSA,nice friendly family oriented, restaurant is clean for most part (old building) TBH asada fries with beans and the albongadas is fire highly recommended oh and the chunky salsa wow

I was really happy looking at the menu and the prices. Everything we tried was delicious and our server was so friendly. She was really wet with our kids and made sure we got refills and checked on us a few times during our meal. I love their self serve salsa bar. My nachos were packed and so good. The taco I got was huge and the tortilla was so good. The meat was flavorful and hit the spot. I got tea and it was really good too. I'm happy our first two choices were closed because it gave us a chance to try this place out.

Definitely won't come back. Came Sunday after church. Horrible service. Finally got up and got our own menus. They never came for our drink order. After I got the menu, they came in less than 5 minutes to take our order (and finally drink order)- hardly even enough time to decide. People all around were getting wrong orders. It's now been over 30 minutes since we sat down, and I still don't have my drink. Kids are getting antsy. Salsa is like water. Husband wanted to come here because he said the food is "spiceyer". Been out of chips for at least 15 minutes and they haven't brought more, despite us asking for them. So apparently they forgot about my drink. They brought the adults food before the children's!! My son ordered guacamole. It was like no version of guacamole I've ever seen in my life. It was watery. The pico de gallo finally came, after we reminded them, and again it was like nothing I've ever experienced before. It was super salty and had cucumbers in it. It was not edible. My been tostada was nothing but a pile of refried beans with iceberg lettuce and a little cheese on top. By the time we left, everyone was in terrible moods. I am hard-pressed to think of any worst experience I've ever had in my life at a restaurant. I hate to leave this review, especially for a local place, but come on!!!

We always enjoy either dinning in or take out. The food and service is always great. Friendly staff and timely service.

Everyone who works here is so friendly to me every time I've eaten in the restaurant or picked up food to go. Their menu has a whole bunch of delicious options; the food is very yummy!

The short review: The food was too saltyWe had high hopes that were crushed.The Good News: Great server and my Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was very good.The Short Review: Most of the food was too salty.The Details: The breading on my wife's fish fillets was oily (undercooked) and impossibly salty. The rice and beans for both us was too salty. I was able to fix mine with crushed chips and mixing it with the small salad on the plate. I don't think that my wife suceeded in this at all.The guacamole was watery, bland, and only briefly acquainted with any avocado. I believe our waitress tried to warn us and I did not pick up the hint. Stale chips.Some of the items at the salsa bar are blindingly hot. Not necessarily a bad thing at a Mexican restaurant, but taste carefully before committingThis is a tough review to write. Small town family restaurant that we wanted to like. But the food is primary and we will not return.

The food was by far the worst I've ever had in my life.....The salsa's we're watered down as well as the enchilada sauce. every person that walked in the door I wanted to warn them not to waste their money ‍the people were nice, but the food was absolutely terrible

WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. First it's like the new owner forgot we're in the middle of a pandemic, putting their clients and employees at risk. Besides that, I'm Mexican myself so I've tried it all. The food was terrible. I ordered flautas they made it with tortillas de arina. Whatttt then this was my burrito like how is this even a burrito looked like a taco. Above it all the new owner was rude to me and my dad cus I asked for salsa and chips . Think twice before choosing this restaurant
