El Gordo Hotdog

I drove 3 hours to try this place iv seen on social media and like most of the reviews here they are over hyped and expensive! I spent $40 on one plate! I understand it was a 3 meat plate but it's still not worth the $40! I definitely could've went to a place similar in my area for a cheaper price! The food was good but average nothing to rave about for sure! The service was ok could've been better. Location wasn't in a good area seemed a little run down, and to be honest I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone.

Got here at 445PM to order dinner, I'm from out of town and have been recommended to come here by a few locals (as well as TikTok). When I arrived, there were 3 people in line ahead of me, we all ordered generally the same thing and were all told it'll be 30 minutes until our food is ready. Fine- you're a busy place and I understand! 45 minutes comes and goes, the other people leave and I'm here with one other person who's ordered after me. I'm watching a ready made order sit in a plastic bag on the shelf for about 30 minutes and the cashier girl just scrolling away on her phone when (who I assume to be) the cook comes back in the truck. There's some discussion happening and she takes the order OUT of the box, and begins recooking it. At this point I ask when my order will be done because I'm over waiting in the cold and rain, to which I'm told 20 MORE MINUTES. That was 20 minutes ago. I'm standing here waiting still, and it's currently 645PM. If I didn't spend $40 on this damn meal, I would have left and gone somewhere else I really hope this food turns it around for this place, I should have checked yelp before I cameUPDATE: Food finally came out 15 minutes after this review. Something told me to check before I left, and sure enough- my order was wrong . Waited another 10 for them to fix it and a smug "sorry about the wait, we gave you an extra hot link" from the cashier as she hands me my food . The food itself? Tastes like next day Benihana. Totally not worth the money. No matter what TikTok says. Don't. Go. Here.

Came here once and the food was good came back again and it wasn't worth the $30. I could of just gone to a edoya for cheaper. The fried rice was mushy had no bacon in itThe meat was so chewy looked like meat but was fat nerves. The shrimp was over boiled The veggies were soggy not fresh. Only thing good was the chicken and the egg roll. Won't be coming back.

Good food and clean lot, busy street other food vendors in the lot also service is good

The portions are varying week by week. The prices have gone up, but we are seeing less food. We grab fries every Friday night. Three weeks in a row the shrimp is WAY over cooked. It's white in color and very rubbery. The sausage is burnt too. Last week, they had run out of their regular fries and didn't bother mentioning that. So we paid $12 for a very small amount of burnt food plated on top of a bed of random fries.I'm so very disappointed because these fries were TO DIE FOR.We will now not be returning. We have given them too many chances to get this shit corrected. So much for trying to support local businesses.

First off they go by El Gordo Teppanyaki. We called ahead at 11:30 to place a takeout order and the person quoted us 30 min. We got here at 12. and asked for our order and they told us they gave it away because they didn't think we would make it EVEN though they close at 1am. We finally got our food and it was very mid. If you wanna spend $20 on a plate, go take yourself to a nice steak dinner.

This place, I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I ordered the al pastor fries but they were out of it and recommended me the hot link, shrimp fries. I had got that. I had saw a picture of the Al pastor fries on the side of the food truck and they looked pretty good and full so I didn't think I needed to check my food when I was given my order. I go home famished and ready to eat. I open my food and I was appalled. For 18 dollars I was expecting something a little better than this. It looks like they threw it together and said "f*** it send it out" will never go back to this place again!

Great late night food! Portions worth the prices and the service was friendly. 10/10 Recommend.

Tbh I was disappointed. it's not worth it, over hyped and over priced... it didn't taste as good as I thought it would maybe they were in a hurry to make the food but there was only one person ahead of me... it wasn't seasoned at all and 30$ a plate if your looking for a better spot try sushiyaki on olive and 1st it's cheaper and way more authentic tbh won't be disappointed

Made an Order over the phone they told us it will be ready in 15 minutes we arrived food was ready to go and besides the the customer service the food is definitely recommend this place
