El Cid Mexican Cuisine

Our friend mentioned it was her godparents' favorite place in the area so we had to try.They are quick to seat groups that come in and we were seated immediately. They were generous with the complimentary chips and salsa and we were downing them quickly.I ordered an enchi-burrito and it is easily one of the best plates of mexican food I had ever had. Having eaten mexican food in socal and all over the world at the best places and this was such a pleasant surprise. Food is fresh, they pack the meat on the plates and consistently check in on us as well as refill out waters. Do not skip this place when you're in the area!

I'll be honest, staff is nice... but food. Subpar. I wouldn't come back here. Food just isn't good. Again staff was awesome.

I failed to get photos after arriving at El Cid ravenous from a day in Yosemite, but trust me, it was delicious. I ordered the burrito chili colorado which was delicious. This is one of my go-tos at Mexican restaurants and I found El Cid's to be one of few where the meat isn't dry. All of our food and drinks arrived quickly with no issues.Service was fantastic! Our waitress allowed us to do six individual checks and she kept track of them fantastically. She also matched our humor and made the dinner fun. The space was clean and pretty quiet at nearly 9 on a Saturday, which is unsurprising. If you're looking for a good, filling meal in Oakhurst after a day of hiking, El Cid has you covered.

Great food at a great price and great service! I recommend the machaca and the e taco salads also the shredded beef enchiladas don't disappoint!

Very clean spacious service was great The waiter was very attentive making sure that our glasses were never empty. The food was very good. The abondagas soup very flavorful and rice light and delicious. I highly recommend if you're driving through Oakhurst this is the stop you should make and they have a lovely view.

The service here was some of the best service I have ever experienced. And the food was fantastic. The employees were so nice and friendly and on top of everything that was going on. We were served so many chips and salsa and they always came with a refill right on time. Our waitress was so kind when our food came and the dish I ordered was not what I expected. She replaced the meal with what I had intended to order and had us box up and take the wrong meal as leftovers. Would absolutely go here again.

Delicious Mexican food. I was impressed as I wasn't expecting due to the location. Food was fresh and well seasoned, very affordable and fed out family of 6, 4 kids and 2 adults for under $70. This is was less than what we would've had to pay at the resort. Good service our water was always topped and chips and salsa refilled. They sprinkle seasoned salt on their tortilla chips and fries. We ordered 2 combo plates a side of fries and shared.

We are visiting the area and wanted you to know try El CID based on the number of good reviews. We had a party of 12 and thought it looked like they had enough room for us. Luckily that was the case. We were seated quickly. The service was excellent. Staff was attentive and friendly. The food was good. The carne asada was nice and tender, good portion size. Carnitas burrito was very big, and chicken fajitas were great. Prices are reasonable. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try

El Cid is one of the limited places to have Mexican food in the mountains in Oakhurst. The best things they have are the chips n salsa and the albondigas. I recently tried the tostada bowl with shredded beef and it was pretty good. I added rice to my bowl. Service is mediocre nothing amazing and nothing horrible. Ambiance is nice if you can sit by the windows where the bird feeder is. Margaritas are 7/10.
