Doll's Kitchen

I have been anticipating eating here for weeks and Doll's did not disappoint! The food was even better than I had been dreaming of. My husband and I went for lunch and split the Leo Platter which I saw featured on their Instagram - it's a combo of fried fish, fried shrimp, and fried chicken plus two sides and a cornbread (we ordered one extra cornbread too). We also got a slice of Chocolate Oreo cake. Every single bite of the meal was fantastic. So many times with a ton of fried food it starts to feel regrettable but every bite of this was on point. I have never had such crispy, not greasy, well seasoned fried fish. Insane. And the shrimp were so good - definitely spicy but in a good, flavorful way. The chicken was so juicy and good too. The mac and cheese was delicious and flavorful and not like so grossly over cheesy like it can be. Lots of flavor. We loved the yams and the cornbread too.Don't sleep on the desserts because that cake was so moist and yummy and I cannot wait to go back when they post their red velvet cheesecake special because they definitely have a strong dessert game.Food was reasonably priced and everyone working there was very friendly. Nothing but five stars and good things to say!

The food is very delicious. Tastes like a southern home cooked meal. Wish they used grub hub. Service is very good once the food is ready for pickup. Since the food is prepared only when ordered, it takes a while to receive it.If you have plenty of time on your schedule don't hesitate to order or go there.

The food is delicious,no question there.However....The service is slow. Make sure you have plenty of time to wait if you're ordering food.The prices are high,bring plenty of money.Parking can be difficult.Customer service is adequate, but could be friendlier.

Last week my family and I visited Dolls Kitchen family owned restaurant located off of Shaw and Blackstone in Fresno, California. The store sign is visible to see from up close or far away distance. The restaurant has a big screen television to watch a game or what's playing. The menu selection varies and they do offer different daily specials. The banana crème pudding is quite popular and delicious. The food is always on point. The staff is eager to help you navigate the menu options if it's your first time eating there. The restaurant ambiance is great atmosphere. There is parking located on site availability. We highly recommend you visit Dolls Kitchen. Check out the photos I attached to this review.

I wanted to love it! The spicy spaghetti is yummy, the Mac and cheese was delicious. Unfortunately they had nothing available but chicken on this visit. So we ordered sides. The baked beans were blah, tastes like canned the greens were good just too sweet the potato salad smelled of so much sulfur couldn't eat it. It took 45 min just to get these sides and the corn bread wasn't ready even after an hour so had to get refund. Won't be visiting again.

We enjoyed a 3 piece fried chicken dinner with 2 sides (BBQ baked beans and spaghetti). The food did take a little time to come out but everything was so delicious and totally worth it. The woman taking our order was very sweet, offered us a sample of the bbq baked beans when we were trying to narrow down our side selection. We're definitely coming back to try other menu items - really looking forward to trying the fried fish.

Soul food haven indeed, left feeling like my soul and belly got fed. Got the spicy fish dinner with potato salad and yams and it came with a slice of cornbread. The fish was crispy, flaky, and very well seasoned. They make their potato salad in my favorite style so no complaints there. Yams were nice and sweet. They make your main to order so don't come here expecting fast-food service, you're getting quality over speed here. The place is small with a few tables for dine in but saw plenty of people getting take-out. Need to come by on a weekend to try some of their bbq.

Their BBQ ribs and fried chicken are delicious. Love the greens and mac and cheese. If you want some great Southern soul food this is a place you can't miss..

Stopped by here a while back when I was craving fried chicken. I got the regular fried chicken with double mac and cheese. Everything was really good. Service was good, too, although it took a bit for my food to be prepared. At the corner of Blackstone and Shaw.

I came on for lunch today. I ordered the 2 pc chicken dinner. This comes with 2 sides. I asked for both sides to be mac n cheese. When I arrived I was informed my bill was just over $18. According to the menu board behind the cashier, it clearly says my order should be $14.99. I asked why the charge was so high. She said she has to charge me an extra dollar for the "double mac" I was advised that it costs a lot to make macaroni and cheese and they have to charge extra if I want it for both of my sides. It doesn't say that anywhere on the menu. My social anxiety was beginning kick in so I just paid to escape. I looked at my receipt they charged me $16.99 even though their menu clearly says $14.99. Then they charged me an extra dollar on top of that for literally 2 scoops of macaroni and cheese. This is just honestly mac n cheese..not lobster mac? How is it so expensive? Why did they charge me more than what's on the menu? This happened last time as well, she did take off the extra money and I chalked it up to an accident. But now, I'm not so sure. The food is good, but I like to know that I'm going to be charged what's on the menu board and not be charged extra arbitrary fees. I don't think I'll be back.
