Extremely disappointed with this company. What a waste of my time and money to get nothing for what I paid for! They knew my budget upfront was a $100k and they said they could complete the job with the targeted budget. After I paid 7k for their so call design fees, they gave me a construction price of $321k. Their design team gave me no innovative ways to lower the cost other than shrinking the size of the addition from a large bedroom to a tiny office. They knew we were expanding our home to accommodate our special needs child and I felt that they led us on with false promises, when they clearly did not want to complete the job. Our main goal, was to expand home to accommodate our special needs child so he could have his own space. Their design team did not think outside the box when I asked to give me different ideas we could accomplish this within our budget. It was very disappointing that they gave me back my same designs I originally gave them. DODSON BUILDERS CONSTRUCTION miss lead their customers by saying "yes, we can complete your remodel within your budget but you have to pay a non-refundable 7k" when DODSON Builders knew they were going to over charge their customers. Please think twice before going with them.

Dodson Builders has my utmost recommendation: from planning to execution, the entire process was professional and enjoyable. They listened to my wants and needs, and implemented each need with the perfect touch of functionality and personality. The owner, Peter, and Mike were extremely communicative and I always knew what was going on and what to expect. Luiz was like a house guest when in my home working, curious and friendly. They sought out new lighting alternatives that would best fit my needs as a visually impaired man, and went the extra mile to make sure all my needs were met. Peter and his team at Dodson construction did a great job for us on the remodel of our downstairs living room. We had them build and install a new fireplace and tiled hearth, and professionally paint our cabinets white and stain our floating shelves as well.We chose Dodson because of their reputation in the market and also because it was extremely important for us to get the "white cabinet" part right, have it looking smooth and professional, instead of hokey and obviously not cohesive which is unfortunately very easy to do when you want to paint cabinets white. We were not disappointed - the results were excellent. The professionals who work with Dodson built a lovely fireplace, the tile was excellent, and they managed the project well from start to finish. From the samples provided to discussion of timelines, and most importantly quick resolution of the issues that cropped up along the way, we were well pleased with their services and the project came out fantastically. In addition to the great addition this project has been for our daily living, we know we added a ton of value to our home as well.We want to thank Dodson construction for a job well done and strongly recommend that you call them if you are looking for a home remodel.

Let me just start off by saying that we met with several other contractors before we started our project. Those other contractors did not leave us with a good sense that they would be able to complete our project to the level of our expectations. Cheap work is not quality and quality work is not cheap. Peter and the rest of the Dodson team are top quality in every aspect of the construction industry. From planning and design, all through the construction phase, and even now, Peter and his team took great care of us and our home. I am extremely happy with the quality of work that was done and the trust that was built during the process is unwavering. If we had any questions or concerns, Norman and Lisa were there to answer our call. Peter and his team went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Our family just completed an extensive kitchen remodel with Dodson Builders Construction. What a great experience we had with this company from the first phone call to their office to our completed kitchen. What makes this company unique is their in-house designers and contractors that work with you from start to finish...they were also great listeners. I am a Realtor® and Dodson Builders was my client for a home they had totally remodeled. The finished product was great and got the admiration of all who saw the quality of workmanship and design that went into it.It turned out to be an extended transaction while finding buyers who qualified for purchase. But Dodson worked closely with me and patiently, throughout the transaction. In the end, we had placed a very happy buyer in their new home and in time for the Holidays!

FIVE STARS!! We removed our boxed in fluorescent lights in the kitchen and added 23 LED lights through out our first floor along with under cabinet lighting. From day one to competing the project the communication was great. The project manager Mario was amazing he worked hard and efficient completing the project a day early, also he made sure we had a usable kitchen during the whole process. With a sick kid at the time, it was greatly appreciated. Extremely impressed with Dodson builders and will reuse and recommend to anyone.

tl;dr - Dodson Builders was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor.My wife and I decided to have the patio off our master bedroom enclosed as a nursery/playroom/office space we could easily access. We wanted it done right, and we weren't about to attempt it ourselves, so we shopped around, talked to a few guys, and after meeting Peter, decided to hire Dodson Builders. We ended up waiting 2 years to do the work, changing the scope of the job rather dramatically, but the folks at Dodson got things in motion as soon as we were ready. By the end of things, they'd given the entire rear side of our house a fresh look, too.Peter, the owner, is professional, engaging, and rightfully takes a great deal of pride in the quality of their work. Lisa, our project manager, was in constant contact with us throughout so that we were never more than a quick text or call away from having our questions answered. She is an absolute joy to work with. Mike is personable, adaptive, and skilled, maintaining an open dialogue throughout the work and a high level of cleanliness on the site. Luis was likewise open and friendly as we got things started. They choose and manage their subcontractors very well too, addressing problems if they came up and making sure everything turned out as promised.Here's the funny thing. Less than a year later, we're selling our house. We're crazy, I know, but that's beside the point. This place sold incredibly fast, ending in a three-way bidding war that went above what we ever thought possible, and I have no doubt that Peter's crew had a lot to do with that. They helped us turn an ordinary tract home into something unique and made the process as smooth as possible.

We have used Dodson Builders for two projects now. We started with a bathroom remodel, which we loved. Then moved on and had our garage turned into a living space. Two very different projects, but the outcomes were the same. Quality work!!! Peter and Norman made every effort possible to make sure we were happy with the finished product. I think for us, that's what meant the most to us. Making sure we were happy. Peter has an excellent team and every member of that team has always made us feel like a priority. We are excited to be working with them again, as we look to take our closets to the next level and then my kitchen!!!!! : D Lol! I always get excited when we start something new with Peter!!
