My twins went here for a little over a year and had an excellent teacher name Ms. Marjorie. My cousins attended dermers way back in the 90's and my nephew also went there. Adam and the whole staff was really great highly recommend them!!!!

Staff is inattentive to students. Often had back turned and is not attentive to student needs. Owner is only concerned with self preservation and doesn't value contracts or policies written in hand book. Staff is not aware of clothing provided for students and often does not use aids provided by parents to help students. Facility recommends chewing necklaces despite warnings and guidance against by many organizations. Took an act of God to get allowance for teether to be worn on lanyard instead of necklace. Staff refused to provide child with teether during time of struggle. Dismissed from facility with no warning on a Sunday night when owner had opportunity to check her messages. Staff talks negatively about students and is disrespectful to parents.

They are not nice to the kids and the owner doesn't care. More interested in money than making sure kids are safe and actively hide things from parents. Do not recommend.

Both my children have gone to Dermer's. I can honestly say that I always felt like my children were safe there and the staff is very good. The play area is fantastic and although it is clean, it is still homey enough for a child to still have fun. I love that they have scheduled project and a curriculum rather than just siting them in from of a TV all day.

Is your child experiencing a standard biting or hitting phase? Then look elsewhere! Sandy Dermer dis-enrolled our child with NO NOTICE rather than committing the appropriate resources and patience to work with our child in their development. We are two working parents who are now at risk of losing our jobs because of Dermer's bad management. The staff were consistently inattentive and unprofessional (except for Jennifer and Sammy). Many times their rooms were understaffed. They fired the facility director and couldn't even be bothered to communicate the change to the families. Did I mention the time we walked in and saw a young toddler running around with two sharpened pencils in his hands? Good thing we noticed, because the teacher sure didn't!Toxic. Chaotic. Unprofessional. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!

As a new mom I found myself anxious and hesitant to hand my 2 1/2 month old to just anybody. The staff at Dermers however are not just "anybody". The staff takes the time out of their busy days to address any concerns I may have, they always keep me updated on my daughters development both socially and emotionally in the class and the patience they show my little one is unmatched to any other preschool I have ever seen. My daughter and I have been blessed to have found Dermers Creative Care. There are many facilities that say they offer enriching early education well, Dermers delivers on that promise. I know I have chosen the right school for my child by the smile and joy that crosses her face every morning when she sees her teachers.

Owner is very nice and easy to talk to. I went in for a walk through, and enrolled my child the same day. Clean facility, organized, kitchen and cook on site.

My child who is two years old started there about 5 months ago and everything seemed to be really good with this daycare. Yesterday my wife and I got a call from them that we had to come pick up our child do to him leaving the class room. Again he is 2. When my wife showed up to get him the owner informed her that he was no longer able to stay at that daycare do to liability risk. Liability risk for a two year class room with 10 kids and one teacher and no child proof locks on the doors! We were never told by his teachers or the owner that he was misbehaving or doing these thing to work with him at home. No warning signs or talks, just the boot. What two year child does not try and leave rooms or open doors. They are sure good with talking with you and leaving ouch reports when your child gets hurt or bit. In the 5 months my child was there he was bitten 7 times and mostly by the same child and that child was not kicked out. This place has a big turn around with teachers and can't keep the same teacher and structure in the class room. I do not recommend this daycare provider unless it is your last resort.

My grandson has only been there less than a month and already I have mixed feelings about the facility. Usually my daughter will drop him off. This is my third time taking him there. The staff isn't as friendly as people say they are. The first day I dropped him, someone let me in and left me standing in the middle of the hallway. I had to go into one of the rooms to find where the signin sheet was and also to see what classroom he was in. Today my grandson and I were greeted quite abrutly by one of the aids or staff members. After ringing the bell a couple of times to let us in, finally one of the aids comes, with a very obvious red faced, charging the door and opens it abruptly and practically bites my head off for not knowing the code to get in. It was obvious she was irritated in having to open the door for us. I grabbed my grandson and quickly moved out of the way as she charged to open the door. After she instructs me on how to use the code system, she abrutly tells my grandson hello and just walks away from us. My grandson hesitated to say hello. My concern is that if anyone there shows any signs of impatience or anger, how are they behaving towards the children. Do your homework before you chose a daycare facility. Judging the book by it's cover isn't always the best for us.
