DeMera Allergy Asthma & Immunology Center

This office is a great one-stop-shop for asthma, allergies, and ENT. They are very thorough and well-organized. I had asthma and allergy testing completed on the same day and received a treatment plan that is helping me breathe better. I have also been seen on the ENT side with the same NP (J. Ruch) who helped me with my asthma and allergies confirmation. I am happy to be in such competent hands.

My daughter was referred here by her pediatrician. Dr. DeMera is extremely knowledgeable and kind. He's pretty quick with his visits and straightforward which I like. Checking in was easy and they also send you text reminders. Last week my daughter was sick with the flu so I had to call and reschedule. Her appointment was at 0900 the following day and I had called around 0930 to call and reschedule. The female on the phone said I was supposed to call by 24 hours to cancel/reschedule. I thought that was pretty ridiculous to say especially when I was already dealing with a sick kid that morning. Things happen and kids get sick. But for it to be 30 mins into the 24 hour time frame and tell me I could get charged for it didn't seem very empathetic. She didn't charge me but told me for next time to be aware of it. While we were there for her appointment, a woman came in at 0955 to check in for her 0920 appointment and the girl at the desk didn't bat an eye on her being late for her appointment. The staff is okay. They kind of just do their job and that's it. There's no room to build rapport with them or anything. So we'll just keep going here because Dr. DeMera is great at what he does but I wouldn't attempt to get to know anyone there since they don't seem personable.

Five stars in every respect! I have dealt with breathing issues for years. My primary care doctor said I had allergies, or asthma, or COPD or chronic bronchitis, it changed from year to year. Fast forward to this year...I changed to a new primary care doctor and he gave me a referral to DeMera Allergy to determine what was really going on with me...coughing, wheezing, hoarseness, shortness of breath, inability to take a deep breath. It took about four weeks to get my first appointment, but since my initial visit, Dr DeMera is on it! (My breathing capacity was 35%, no wonder I haven't been breathing well for the past several months). I have a breathing treatment plan, meds to help with my breathing, labs were ordered and tests were scheduled. Follow through is impeccable here, I got blood work done a few days ago, and I've already had an appointment with Dr DeMera to go over the findings. He truly, truly cares about his patients' wellbeing. I have been so impressed with him and the entire staff and am so thankful to have been referred to DeMera Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Oh! When I went to Quest for my bloodwork, the girl there said she LOVED that the requested tests had been highlighted on the form from Dr DeMera's office. She said it made her job so much easier. Great job, DeMera Allergy! Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend. Staff assistants are helpful. Dr Demera and Dr Sherman are very qualified to help with your allergy needs.

Dr. DeMara has the best bedside manner I've experienced in an allergist. I've been to a few allergists and looking at their 2 and 3 star reviews, it doesn't surprise me. The girls in the front are amazing! And equally funny!! They greet you upon your arrival and don't treat you like just another person. The clinical staff are welcoming, thorough, and PATIENT! There's a machine in the back that measures your oxygen. The interface is like a video game where you have a girl holding on to a balloon. Breathing in at a steady rate gets her to float across this large canyon. If you don't breathe steadily, she dies (well falls into the canyon). Welp, after about 4-5 times, I didn't kill home girl. She lived. Dr. DeMara himself is a patient guy. I've never heard him raise his voice or get frustrated. He's very mellow and explains everything! EVERYTHING! Typical first visits take 45-60 minutes because you go through breathing treatments (if you're there for asthma like I was), get allergy tested (damn, talk about itchy), and sit down with Dr. DeMara. A huge plus too was that anything he prescribed you, he tried his best to find you a discount or coupon. I came on recommendation from a friend and so glad I did!

My husband was struggling with allergies (of course) that's why we saw this Dr. The problem was resolved within the first visit I was so impressed since He had been struggling with it for over 5 months in constant agony. Waking up with hives everyday and several visit to other allergist. The doctor identified the issue right away prescribed something and the results were evident by the next day. It had been 2 months since the last visit but, he hasn't had any problems anymore. They still made sure It wasn't something more serious which I appreciated and gave me peace of mind.

Dr. DeMera is a knowledgeable physician. He listens to his patience. He was able to help my husband with a sinus issue after seeing several other specialists. He is what all doctors should aspire to be.

I see NP Jennifer Ruch. She is great! Very knowledgeable and honest. I feel like she truly cares about her patients rather than seeing us as a way to make money. Would totally recommend

Worst experience ever. Doctor had a severe superiority complex, very entitled and condescending. Very rude, clearly in it for the money and the inaurance money game with no care for the patient's well-being. No wonder you can get an appointment fast, terrible clinic and experience from check-in to dr. visit. Save yourself the frustration and make an appt ANYWHERE else.

I don't enjoy spending 45 minutes in the exam room waiting to see the Doctor. No matter what time my appointment is, I have to wait a minimum of 45 minutes to see the Doctor.
