My first update since 2017. Since discovering the worldly wonders of DoorDash, I have ordered from Del Taco Clovis 172 of the past 191 nights for dinner. Since my all-time favorite Mexican food restaurant (El Torro) shut down several years ago for whatever reason still unknown to all of their biggest supporters, Del Taco is my go to fix for great Mexican food. They put Taco Bell to absolute shame and it's not even close. Besides Taco Bell's Cheesy Gordita Crunch they have been absolutely worthless for decades and often get rid of their most popular menu items. Yeah, makes perfect sense, right?Del Taco is always ADDING to their vast and wonderful menu, not removing things like that other ridiculous place. For you old timers like me, remember the Bell Beefer that Taco Bell so STUPIDLY got rid of? No problem. Order a Bun Taco from Del Taco and you'll get all of that glory you have craved for so long. Tired of Taco Bell's skimpy little tacos with 2 strands of cheese? Order the "Del Taco" and you will be floored. A real taco, soft or hard packed to the absolute max with beef, lettuce, tomato and a TON of shredded, delicious cheese. Del Taco has HOME MADE guacomole instead of that green goop from their rival. And unlike Taco Bell, Del Taco actually still serves TOSTADAS something Taco Bell ditched for absolutely asinine reasons because of the boxes they came in like they tried with the Mexican Pizza. But Del Taco's "Crunchtadas" are sooooooooo much better and of course packed to the max.In short, just trust me. Ditch Taco Bell immediately and give Del Taco a chance. It's so much better, it's not even close. The one and only thing I can say better about Taco Bell is they serve Pepsi products, which is a large and far superior line than the absolutely pathetic and nauseating Coke products that Del Taco and most restaurants serve for whatever reason. Other than that, Del Taco is absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

So they now have a kiosk. It was here last time I was in but fortunately had my order taken by a real live employee. Started this time to use the kiosk and it didn't recognize my phone number for Del Rewards. Employee attempted to see if he could work it from his side to no avail. He had to redo the order. Dinned in and watch others have issues as well. Food is very predictable, their technology not so much...

Where do I start? I don't leave a lot of reviews, but when the food is just bad, I feel people need to know, especially because we are paying such a high price for drive-through food now! I ordered two cheeseburgers and a medium french fry, which was right at $20, The burger buns were dry and tough, the patties were tasteless and super chewy, they do use Roma tomatoes on their burgers, now...? I actually dislike the burger so much that I didn't even eat the second one because it was exactly the same, what a waste of time and money,Stick with In-N-Out Burger, at least you know it's worth the wait and the money spent... Del taco was a waste of $20 for sure!

The dude and I came to Del Taco for a quick lunch on 9/23/21 as since I had only an hour lunch break it needed to be something QUICK. I have only came to this location about one time. I am usually a Del Taco fan and enjoyed their Turkey tacos which was so tasty for me but they discontinued it to add the Impossible Meat so I stopped going. I would use to customize my Nachos to add the Turkey meat so delicious and one of my favorites. But anyways, the dude has been seeing so many commercials about the new Quesadilla Tacos in Asada, Grilled and Crunchy Chicken and wanted to try it. He is so easily swayed by food commercials but it is fun to give the new products a try and rate them!We arrived about 12:15pm and it wasn't that busy at all. We ordered the new Dulce De Leche Milkshake which the worker was confused on their own product and finally realized "Oh the Carmel Shake". Well yeah it's called Dulce De Leche on the menu xD but whatever. We ordered One Grilled Chicken and One Crunchy Chicken Quesadilla Tacos along with Two Asada Quesadilla Tacos and the dude got the Value nachos which looked like crap but tasted fresh and decent. I was not happy with the presentation as it just looked like they threw the beans, green chile and cheese sauce up there without care! 2/10. The flavor was on point. The Grilled Chicken Quesadilla Tacos 8/10 was huge and filling! It was tasty and paired well with their mild salsa sauce packets. I would honestly get it again. I was not too big on their Crunchy Chicken as it is just a two deep fried chicken tenders, very underwhelming for sure 7/10 and i'm being nice. The staff experience was minimal it just feels like everyone is in a rush these day so the customer service wasn't that great. I understand it is drive thru but JEEZ!Overall, i'm like luke warm on returning. Del Taco is good! But I honestly prefer my authentic restaurants better than fast food Mexican food. I won't say "I'll never return" but it is like on my bottom of the list. Not a bad experience but it wasn't the best. The dude loved the experience but "I'll pass" it won't be one of my ideas to return.

Where did I go to get a burger on national burger day? Del taco of course! I tried a cheeseburger from del taco years ago and found it pretty disgusting, something akin to a McDonald's cheeseburger. (Not that there isn't a time and place for one of those.) I got a double cheeseburger yesterday and honestly it's one of my favorite burgers now. It looked truly unimpressive when I opened the packaging, but it was delicious. I also tried their new crunchy chicken taco with habanero flavor. It was completely unnecessary and devoid of anything worth mentioning. Their other options were amazing as usual.Lastly, I ordered delivery for the first time. Turns out they partner with door dash. My order arrived about 30 minutes later than initially projected. Everything was lukewarm at best and none of the crunchy things were crunchy. I won't get delivery again.

Del Taco used to be one of my go-to spots for fast, non-authentic Mexican food. They recently advertised, claiming their classic and spicy chicken burrito is now "50%" more chicken, which is a bunch of rubbish. So now you will be paying more and getting the same or less amount of chicken as advertised. Service was horrible too; the boss lady seemed grumpy and overwhelmed with her crew members, I guess due to the new trainees. My advice is to go to the Vallarta supermarket and make your own bigger and better burritos, especially when they have their own house-made Sonoran-style tortillas. Adios Del Taco, no Mas for me, no Bueno.

I like having a burrito from Del Taco once in awhile. When I walk in though at 7:40 pm and get asked to place my order to go, tells me this location lacks customer service. If I wanted a to go order, I would have gone through the drive-thru. The food may be classic Del Taco quality, but the service has turned me away.

The refried beans are too loose (watery). it's ridiculous to pay $19+ for a burrito that was so loose that i got tired of wrestling with the thing. taste was ok. I gave it 2 because taste was ok. Disappointed
