DeYoung Properties is in my opinion one of the best all around locally owned family home builders in the Fresno/Clovis area. They build a home you can truly make your own for one of the best price to values ratios in the valley and the really take their customer service seriously. Top notch builder!

Me and my wife recently purchased a home with De Young. It was a wonderfull experience. We worked with Eric Armenta thoughout the process. He was great when it came to working with our schedule and answered every question we had throug the construction process. Eric and the whole De Young team treated us like family. (DO not WORK WITH ERIC ARMENTA) If I could put zero stars I would they treat you like family make you feel welcomed till they have your money then they run with it.... Me and my girlfriend got pre approved with ERIC ARMENTA and Timothy o'hare to build our dream home started the house, A month out from move in they say we aren't pre approved anymore and that we have to get a co signer and all this bs so this in my opinion is the worst builder you can ever go with and fyi they still have my 14k and won't give it back unless I "use it towards one of there properties in the next year " some bs if you ask me deyoung is a scam all they want is your money and they will not give you're money back so think twice before handing them a check!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly am not sure how to rate Deyoung . The home is good in many respects...here's the but. My next door neighbor & I both experienced water leaks, from the hot water PEX line, in our garages, at 7 years in. Then I had a 2nd leak, less damaging than the first, in the garage a year or two later. Deyoung repaired both leaks, although the drywall was not comparably restored, but adequate ( think C- or D+, but that's the far lesser gist of this review ) Then in June 2023, a 3rd water leak in the garage. Deyoung emailed that they were unwilling to repair the damage this time, as It had been more than 10years since construction of the home.As a consequence of their unwillingness to make good on the faulty PEX type lines that leaked - I filed a water damage claim with my insurance provider, who promptly & thoroughly repaired the damage. BUT now, approaching our homeowners insurance renewal, our provider has elected to terminate our coverage. We are looking seeing our rate with a new insurance provider, skyrocket to a number approximately $8,000 more than our original coverage. I've never known a home to have this many leaks...and be so recently built.

We loved the DeYoung homes at Tesoro Viejo and highly recommend working with Eric Armenta. Eric was super helpful and transparent when discussing pricing -- he even went above and beyond to give us a comparison between his models and competitor models to help us come to a decision. We've had home issues of course, but what is prompting this review is two leaks in the hot water lines of our deyoung home less than 6 months apart. Given the house is 11yrs old I didnt think much of the first time this happened, but twice ?? Both were pin hole leaks in a bend of the pex pipe. Pipes that probably shouldn't have been bent to start from what Im hearing from the restoration crew.
