Davorn's Place Lao - Thai Restaurant

Has to be my favorite restaurant in the area.This place can get busy but it is big enough to accommodate both small to larger groups. I love the Nem roll here, it's one of the better ones I've tried. The coconut curry is also really good. Something I love is you can order Lao but also get a sushi roll.

Love Thai food! We've wanted to try this place for yrs. We save it for Valentine's Day and decided to do a last minute to-go order. We ordered all our favorites. Chicken Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Wings, Tom Yum and Mango Sticky Rice! So excited to dig in! Order everything at heat level 2 cuz too hot is not fun for me. Opened the Chicken Pad Thai grabbed the first bite and it WAS SOOOOO SPICY! It was a totally ruined for me. So then I spooned a half a bowl of the Tom Yum and scent seemed off. It didn't have that lemony scent like I'm used to. And in fact smelled sweet. I thought that was odd. I tasted it and was highly disappointed!!! So sweet and not lemony at all. No flavor whatsoever. I didn't try the Spring Rolls or the wings. At this point I was over it.Horrible experience. Will never go back.

This is now my favorite restaurant in the entire Central Valley. As a vegetarian who is also gf, this is a perfect choice. There are many delicious dishes and many can be made gf. They serve Thai, Laotian and Vietnamese. I had the vegetarian pho, salt and pepper tofu and got an order of spicy noodles to go which I consumed within hours. I LOVE this place. Couple of things for them to look at -- make sure your gf items come gf -- they did switch out an order for me, and also, it can take a while to be seated as they are very popular.

They never pick up their phones. I've gone other places because thier takeout takes forever when you walk in to place your order.

I absolutely Love this place!! The food is always delicious. We decided to go with level 3 spice and it was perfect for my tastebuds. I can't wait for mangoes to be back in season! They have a great mango sticky rice!! I tried the Glass Noodles salad and my love got the Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Service was great as usual! Everyone is always so nice. They do have limited parking spaces but it's never been an issue for me. The restaurant is always clean and is a great atmosphere for chatting while you eat.

Would give a 5 but the service needs improvement. The food is great but I wish they would have better service. Takes awhile to get orders taken everytime and it's very rare for them to check on you until you're ready to leave.

Had a good experience here the other day. I ordered for pick-up, but only ordered some drinks and desserts. I have never been here before, but it's a beautiful restaurant with great decor. The girl that brought me my food was very sweet, but the older lady working the front desk was not quite as pleasant, but we all have off days, maybe that day was hers.I'll have to come back and eat here next time. Everything we had was very delicious. Give them a shot

We got take out and so far everything was good besides the larb. The meat smelled spoiled and tasted off. We had gotten the this dish plenty of times in the past but today it was off.. we couldn't finish it. Besides that the curry we had got was delicious but a little too sweet.

I think I was was pretty skeptical about this place looking at the menu because there was so many different cuisines.Our waiter was very personable. I got the shrimp spring roll and the pad kee mao with tofu.The shrimp spring roll was kind of dry.The pad kee mao was delicious. Large portion size - doesn't look like it but it was very filling.

Im going to start off saying we really like the owner, and majority of the staff is super friendly. Overall our service has been very helpful, pleasant and help order when we have questions. There's a food variety of choices from the menu, we decided to get the Pad Thai and Korean chicken wings. Spicy lol, but so good! The dishes are so fresh, and they definitely give you as much as the dish cost. Highly recommend the pot stickers as well.Overall great ambiance, great food and much worth a visit! Only reason for 4 stars is because I think some staff could be more welcoming and clearer when directing people to their table. We also had to wait 15 min for a server.
