The beautiful park is like one of the few things people can appraise about Downtown, Most of the architecture around the park is relatively old but very appreciable, I guess one can spend an entire day while visiting the local buildings here, And just across a block, you have bunch of eatries and Fulton street so stop options are never out of date here

This beautiful park is an oasis in downtown Fresno. That courthouse is a mid century modern dream and reminds the crew of Star Trek beaming down to some planet (original series). My friends and I have a Street Ministry there once a month where we share the gospel of Christ with all. What a joy to get out into this park with it's many people. It's a focal point in our city and we are blessed to have it.-G

This is a Fresno County park in downtown, the heart of Fresno. Full of a diverse group of trees and large swaths of green grass, this is a respite from the burgeoning metropolis around it. The Fresno County Courthouse and other County buildings reside here. With the amount of memorials and sculptures in the park, I'm surprised the community doesn't embrace this area more. But I understand, the current design is far from perfect and people are still warming up to downtown. Entering the park from Van Ness, Tulare, Fresno, or M Streets can be daunting with buzzing vehicle traffic on all sides. Best access is the Mariposa pedestrian underpass from Fulton. A children's play area would be nice too. Overall though, I love this space. It's nice to get away from the office once in a while, sit on a bench, and watch the breeze blow through the trees, smell the fragrance of the huge jasmine gardens, and do absolutely nothing.
