Country Waffles

We have been coming here for years. The food has always been good. Now, with the new owners, it's much friendlier and they treat us like regulars. The waffles are always great and I enjoy the Benedict's as well.

The service was fine but the quality is not as good as it once was years ago.The food was mediocre at best.We asked for side of salsa and it was a watered down puréed peppers not a tomato present in the "salsa".The coffee was watered down as well. Seemed like they had used the same coffee grounds 3-4 times..The coffee had no body...I wasn't looking for mud, but a hearty cup of coffee.

Very friendly service and has a great "regular" vibe, we actually heard one elderly couple say "see you next week mija" as they walked out; love that! Food was good and filling!

Omg you guys have to try their coffee and food everything was delicious I went with my husband we both loved it. Service was also very good I can't remember her name but she was super nice and attentive. Ambience was good as well.

Used to be our go to for all American breakfast. We walked in and immediately noticed weird writing on a paper along with a golden bell that looked foreign, then a golden bowl with water and floating fresh flowers. They said it was decoration only. But we looked it up, there is a spiritual meaning behind that and we do not support it. We were told there are new owner, we won't be back.

Service/ Cleanliness: 7/10As soon as you enter Country Waffles you are immediately transported to your 80 year old grandparents home. And your grandparents have not updated their home decor since the time they moved in. Staff are welcoming and food is promptly delivered to your table from the time you order. Their menu is simple and not overwhelming. The restaurant looks decently clean and no major issues are visible.The Border Scrambles: 4/10The scramble eggs I ordered did not only have a insensitive name. But the whole dish lack any type of seasoning. The eggs, vegetables and potatoes were severely under seasoned. The ingredients on the dish did not compliment each other due to everything on the dish lacking seasoning. The waiter did offer some salsa verde, which also lack any salt. The salsa was water with blended Chiles and vegetables and no salt. Half Waffle: 5/10The half waffle was nothing special and lack the buttery, sugary and vanilla flavors that make a good waffle. The frozen waffles you get at Target are more satisfying. Final Thoughts: 5/10Country Waffles is an outdated restaurant that does not bring anything special to your breakfast choices. The food lacks any creativity and most importantly flavor. The prices per dish are fair for the amount and quality of food you get. You are better off going to Denny's or IHOP as this place fails to make you want to go back.

Ok hear me out....I went yesterday and had an ok experience. What I mean by that is, when I walked in I didn't feel a warm or cheerful vibe from the place or the staff. NO they weren't in any way rude to me but they weren't upbeat when it came to service. It was more of like them just doing their job and that's it. Now don't get me wrong yes they served me and everything but it didn't feel like they were happy. In my opinion when you go to a new restaurant the place and staff should always be warm, welcoming and most importantly, cheerful which these staff were not. So if you're expecting that, I don't recommend this place, you'll be disappointed like I was. The food was decent for what it is. The waffles were nothing special like I was expecting. Don't waste your time if you're looking to try this place.

I've gone to all the country waffles in Fresno and none of them compare to this location. I've been coming to this one on Shaw for the past 14 years. Ever since I found this place, it has been our family's go to spot for breakfast. When you enter the restaurant it give a warm and welcoming vibe. The ladies in front get your info down quickly and the wait isn't long at all during the weekday. However expect to wait around 25-30 minutes on the weekend. But it's not too long of a wait and it's well worth it!Their eggs Benedict is so delicious and the hollandaise sauce is tasty. The eggs is always poached to perfection. My favorite of all time is the blueberry waffle. Every time we have breakfast here we always order it. It's a big portion so we share it. The service is amazing and is primarily the reason we always come back. Their server Shay is very attentive and friendly. She makes us feel like family every time we dine there which definitely makes the experience even better. I highly recommend you give this location a try.

Yummy breakfast spot! And super sweet service. They were fast with everything and kept checking to see if we needed anything. This was my first time here and I got the blueberry waffles which were very delicious now I have to come back and try the crepes.

Food isn't good the food is bland no seasoning. I came because I heard it was good but that was definitely a lie.
