Cottonwood Grove Apartments

We lived in Cottonwood grove from 4/2015 until 7/2019, my husband is active duty Air Force and we paid rent on time every single month (autopay). We were great residents of this community and never had any other major issues. (maintenance was slow on fixing our requests)Anyhow, we moved out in early July when we got orders to our next duty station (Alaska) and we were promised a portion of our deposit back, a decent amount of money that we could really use right now. It is now October and we still have not received the check even after it was promised to be put in the mail. That is our money and we deserve to get it back.We have left multiple messages and sent emails and they go un-returned and unanswered. I would never recommend this community for anyone to live in, management has proven to be completely unprofessional.

They don't even deserve 1 star but we have to put something. Anywho, this place is a DUMP! Do not live here! They act really nice to you and as if they care about your needs and wants before you become a tenant. After you move in, they don't pick up your calls for shit! You pay a shit load of money for something that has a lot of damage or problems. They take forever to call you back and they're rude! I lived here less than a year and it was HELL! I'm so glad to be outta that dump place. The manager Cynthia is lazy AF and doesn't do her job right. Save yourself the trouble and the money. DONT LIVE HERE! P.S. there's a shit load of bugs and cockroaches! The other tenants let their dog shit anywhere and everywhere without cleaning it!

I really wish I had read the reviews before I became a tenant here. When I had applied, I had to place 1600 deposit to move in. I had told them I needed a place before the 25th, which is when my old lease was ending. They told me they had an available unit ready by the 15th, thinking this was good timing. Also placing money before the 15th, my place should have been inspected and ready to go. WRONG! Within the six days of me moving in, my AC unit was not working (remind you, it's summer time in Fresno!). I had it on at 65, since the temperature showed it was 89! For two hours, it went from 89, to 93 & yet the AC was set for 65! Still rising higher and higher. I had report the problem & they blamed the thermostat. They came in & "fixed" it setting me at 70, when it was 90 in the house & said to let it run for two hours. Yet, nothing changed besides the inside matching the outside heat, which they claimed it's supposed to do! After it wasn't resolved they said to turn it off for another two hours, leaving me to spend the night at my sister since I kept waking up sweating! The next day they came & "fixed" it again & it blew cold air for a good 15 minutes and back to warm air, then their office was closed Sunday, which meant I had to wait until Monday! Therefore my AC has been going for a whole eight days, by then rent was down the street causing me to pay 1300! Didn't even pro rate me for the first months rent. Also they checked the vent in the kitchen and it still doesn't work & they never came to fix it. Now within that week of me moving in, my PG&E shows me the times the most energy was used, & it was high that week. Now that I'm going into my second month, I paid my PG&E , & called the office leaving messages multiple times about being compensated for those days or pro rated & yet not one call back! They are unprofessional! I wouldn't recommend living here. The gate also to let us out , have been broken for two weeks ! I have a restraining order on people, which means I take my safety personal & this is upsetting. If I didn't run my credit already and signed a one year lease, I'd leave! Never returning even if I was at the end of my lease and can't find a place! This place is trash. I came from Friant & Audobon , at a much safer community that didn't have a gate & their rent was only 1100 for a one bedroom & service at park ridge was great. I have requested many maintenance to be done here on the website & I'd have to call it in, because they never look at it. Park ridge handled everything immediately and effectively! Now that I see the reviews on this place, I wouldn't say they were lying! I wouldn't even give this place a one star if it didn't let me post a review !

Great place to live. Clean and well kept. Most of the staff is friendly. It has 2 pools... So that's nice. The units have a wood burning fireplace and that's a big plus for me. The only complaint I have is that the floors on the outside of the front porch on the second stories get dirty really easily.

I loved living here. Quiet peaceful and great park just next door. The apartment is comfortable and cozy

My experience her has been one of the best experiences I have had. I love the customer service and the property is very clean. My repairs get completed on a timely manner and if there is an emergency, they get to it as soon as they can. The staff is very friendly and respectful.

Feral cats, barking dogs, noisy neighbors, overpriced for a place built in 1992 and management that will keep as much of your deposit as possible. Horrible place to live. No place to park. Not worth it. Was given one star because you have to.

This apartment complex is awful. Within 5 months of living here there has a multitude of basic appliances that have had to be replaced. For example, we needed BOTH a new garbage disposal and refrigerator replaced after several members of the house have requested multiple maintenance orders. The leasing office is not helpful, they tend to have an attitude when raising concerns and it takes a long time to hear back with results. The huge creek that is supposed to run through this complex has been dry for years. Several lightening fixtures both indoor and outdoor are busted. This apartment is nice is in hindsight but NOT FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE ASKING. The quality of this apartment does not match the value that the ask for.Also, the maintenance people are hired to work early mornings with loud, loud power tools. The walls of the apartments are super thin and it's nearly impossible to sleep in when they are working. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Absolutely love this place. The negative reviews are nothing compared to actually living here and experiencing it. Since moving here we haven't had any problems, it's so quiet and peaceful. We live downstairs and can't hear our neighbors upstairs which is amazing. The management here is caring and friendly, they made sure we were settled in and made sure that we were comfortable. Everybody here is friendly , and very respectful it's always a hello or even a conversation. Wouldn't wanna live any where else.
