Color Me Chula

Great first haircut. I've hit cult hair and they know what they are doing! They took time to listen and I've already got my next appointment booked. It's a really cute shop.

I've gone to Jackelyn for years as my facialist and was thrilled when she opened her own salon. I recently went to see Jackelyn for an update to my look. She gave me a wonderful haircut to help me grow it out to a French Bob. When I mentioned that I wanted to update my color, she and Monica took my complexion, eye color, and maintenance needs into consideration. A couple weeks later, I sat with Monica and had the color updated. I could not be happier! Everyone has said how the color makes me look 10 years younger and emphasizes my complexion and makes my eyes pop. Their salon is so amazing. Monica has an old-school barber's chair that is just way too comfortable! Jackelyn and Monica have created a safe space for everyone. You immediately feel relaxed and comfortable.I love these two so much!

I have been going to Jackie for years now. I have received a variety of hair and skin services. When I have an appointment with Jackie it's something I look forward to all month long. I first started going to her based solely off her name , Color me Chula, and a good reference from a friend. At each appointment she always takes the time to educate me about my choices and help me navigate my hair or skin services. She individualizes each appointment to best suit my needs at that time. BUT I can say that each appointment always feels like much more than that. It feels much more like a healing session. Now those are not the services she offers but her energy and ability to make a person feel at ease and comfortable is an amazing gift . Typically when I schedule services such as these I always feel nervous about going to a salon environment, but I have never felt that way at Color Me Chula, Hands down she gives the best facials ever. When it comes to hair she has always made me feel like she cares about my hair and it's health. As a textured hair girl it's been hard to find stylists in the past that take the time to educate me about my hair and teach me how to take better care of it. My only wish is that she was more than one person that way her availability would always be open to me. Jackie is seriously the best and one would be lucky to receive any service from her. Stop thinking about it and book an appointment! It's worth it! You're worth it!

Jackelyn is the best hair stylist/esthetician I have ever met. I have been going to her for my hair for years and she never disappoints. I appreciate her creating a safe space, judgement free and a very welcoming kind of home-y vibe in her shop. She is also vwry professional and takes her career extremely serious, follows all the guidelines and takes great care with each client. Jackelyn is an all-around artist! I received a facial & haircut. I've always liked subtle alternative & statement hairstyles which is why I gravitated to Color Me Chula. Previous stylists have discouraged me from getting bangs due to my fine hair but Jackelyn not only made it work but created beautiful baby bangs that complement me. My hair has volume now! I left the chair feeling confident & lookin' cute. She also does amazing facials & provides great skin care education. Aside from her many talents she radiates positive vibes & energy. She gets an A+

I have known Jackie since she started her career as an esthetician 7 or 8 years ago at the cosmetology school at which I worked. She was at the top of her class- always very serious about her craft, wanting to know more and to excel. She has continued her education outside of her initial training and is probably one of the most knowledgeable estheticians in the central valley. To this day, she is the only former student I allow to work on my skin. That is saying A LOT. The spa where she works is soothing, spacious, comforting, and not your run-of-the-mill place. You won't be disappointed.

Jackelyn did such a fantastic job on my makeup! I got so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looked. My eye makeup was gorgeous. She was also really nice and made me comfortable. I'm going to try a facial next time.

They know how to work with textured hairs without having to straighten my hair. They gave me my first curly cut and I keep going back. They are all super friendly, and have a beautiful set up that is interesting to look at while you are in the chair! 10/10 would recommend to a friend (and I have lol)

I am so glad I found Jackie. She is a sweetheart and we are blessed to have her in Fresno! Her salon is a safe space for everyone and she really makes you feel welcomed. She takes the time to listen to what you want to do with your hair and helps you achieve it. I am thankful she taught me how to style my curls and embrace them. I have trichotillomania and it's been hard to find a stylist that doesn't judge me for having the urge to my pull my hair. I cannot control it at times :( She called my little baby hair growing cute and also taught me how to style it with other pieces of hair as it grows out. She is amazing person and I highly recommend her. If you are thinking of booking an appointment with her, do it! :)

Jacklyen is a miracle worker! Absolutley love how my hair came out. Great company for a 5+ hour process. 100% trust her with my hair.
