Second time I ordered the Pork Pad Thai. Holy, the flavor is so RICH, I can taste the sweetness of the peanut butter however it is not overdone like the other pad Thai I've tasted before. It's simply a noticeable hint to add on top of the other flavors that's present in the dish. The noodle is soft and juicy, the flavor is rich from start to finish, the meat is tender and the texture of the meat compliments the noodles. Both meals are 4.5/5 easily if not 5/5. The staff are nice as well, the waiting time isn't long for the food either

Came here for a late lunch and left feeling so Thai-food satisfied! The SO and I were in Merced for the day and ended up coming to Coconut Cafe about 45 minutes before they closed for siesta. We were seated immediately in a small booth. The inside looked like it was getting ready to turn down for their hour break between lunch and dinner (lights off, only natural light peeking through). There's a very cute flower wall for the aesthetic, but mostly it is very industrial with exposed ceilings and some really cool-looking steampunk-esque sconces dotting the walls. We ordered: Thai coffee - great pick-me-up; creamy and caffeinated as it should beMango slush - tasted like artificial mango (per the SO) like powdery, we would probably skip this one next timeChicken satay - comes with 4 skewers and peanut sauce - pretty basicChicken chow mein - SO said this tasted greatPriew wahn with chicken - very saucy, would probably order this with a different protein next timePad thai with chicken - SO loved the taste of this one and wished he had ordered this for himself. I loved the huge portion and that I could add my own amount of spice to it using the spices available at our booth.Roasted duck red curry - super flavorful and had plenty of fatty duck pieces. A tiny bit spicy, but so delicious Everything came out timely and piping hot. Service was basic but the ladies were nice. In the end, Coconut Cafe is definitely on my radar to return! I must try their other dishes!

There was 9 of us. We ordered drunken noodles, panang chicken, crisp tofu, chicken pad Thai, pineapple rice, shrimp pad Thai. The heat was medium but the panang was a little hotter than we expected, but very nice. The noise level was almost nonexistent. Warning: they close at 7:30 p.m. Plenty of parking. We had a great time sharing plates and sharing conversation.

Best Thai food in Merced! The fried rice was delicious I got it with level 7 spice and it had a nice kick to it. If you like spice make sure to try the chili oil on the table. The spring rolls were also fresh and a good start to the meal.

Passing by the city and was craving Lao food. I don't think I'm picky with food but I would never come back here. I've never felt my stomach felt this funny before and I was struggling to not be in the bathroom all night. The owners don't care about their customers or their employees. Food, bad. Owners, even worse. Never come here
