My new favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is fantastic. So many places serve Tex-Mex, but this is so much better. Finally, a restaurant that uses spices and seasonings! I got carry out for dinner, and the aromas filled my car on the drive home - we got the chile verde wet burrito, the sliced chimichanga, four crispy tacos, and chips with guacamole. I would give Cocina Village more than five stars if it were possible.

Just OK.Came here because of the great reviews on Yelp! Came in on a Sunday for dinner and we were the only party in there. The vibe was very nice. Super clean. Our waitress was SO NICE and food came out fairly quickly.The meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa and refried beans. Pretty tasty appetizer considering it was free. However, my main entree wasn't as good as I was hoping. I got their 3 taco combo and opted for pastor for my meat. It was mid! The presentation was nice. The meat was a bit too salty for my liking and I thought the rice and beans were just OK. If you want good tacos, I'd suggest going to a taco truck or a different spot. I think my whole party was underwhelmed by the food unfortunately.

First the atmosphere is a zero. The wait staff less than a zero. Basically it's a shit hole that needs to be flushedHow can any restaurant charge $45.00 for a chile Verde burrito!I asked for extra meat, sour cream and guacamole! There was no extra meat the burrito when cut open looked like baby diaper with crap. Needless to say I had no choice but to box it up. I considered giving to a homeless individual but decided why have him eat toilet refuge.The server was intelligently challenged and a liar! I was charged for three laser cut avocados that I did not order but she insisted I did.To this date the only worst meal I've eaten in Fresno was at Prime 13 which is a double flush!I wonder if the owner eats at his own restaurant or goes to Sal's which is far superior to his septic tankThis is my option based on my experience others may not agree!Oh more thing my friend order the fish tacos. They resembled dry tampons of course stingless

I ordered the Steak Molcajete.. it doesn't appear to be in a stone bowl. I'm used to Molcajetes to be boiling hot, as seen in the photo, the panela cheese didn't even melt. It was very soupy, and had underwhelming flavor. My party came on a Sunday around 6pm, we were the only ones dining.Despite the good service, and attentive waitress, won't be returning... due to the mediocre food.

Nice atmosphere, excellent service and fabulous food! I visited on a Tuesday evening and there was plenty of seating. I ordered the carnitas and loved my dish. The only thing I would have passed on were the chips. Fresno has a lot of good Mexican and I would put this place at the top of my list. I will definitely be back!

Food is absolutely delicious. We've eaten at Sabor for years and it's always amazing. Never had a bad meal there. Service is outstanding -- the wait staff is friendly very attentive to our needs. Finally the ambiance is excellent. They should get eleven or twelve stars! Absolutely one of Fresno's finest places to dine.

Second Visit, did not take photos. I ordered a beef chimichanga, that was very good. My sister got menudo again, she added additional oregano. The tacos were a under-seasoned to my taste, but with tapatio it was okay. We sat in the back area this time near a window, super chill spot, servers so far have been friendly and attentive, although this time my bill was incorrect, charged for 4 drinks with 3 ordered.

This is a very cute small restaurant that feels like a home inside. The food here is alright in my opinion, not the best but not the worst. I only say this because the main dishes definitely taste of a lot of cumin and salt and was a bit overwhelming to me the more bites I took. Our sides/appetizers were great though and the service was fast and friendly here.
