We were at the Clovis Veterans Memorial building for a private event last weekend. Nice place. It is a venue available for weddings, parties, dances and such. I love the way veterans are honored there with all the flags and tributes. Located on the corner of 4th Street and Veterans Parkway in Old Town Clovis.

Clovis Veterans Memorial District memorializes Veterans and Military Dogs, as well as the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. It has several memorials to U.S. Military, Military Dogs and Veterans; and provide facilities and support programs to promote a legacy of Military Service. It serves as an elegant world-class educational center to present and preserve regional history, with an emphasis on Veterans of the Clovis community. The structures invite quiet contemplation as one wanders through the memorials. Here is Hallowed, Sacred and Desecrated ground. That means never is yelling done here and no playing or games are to be played here. That includes pokeman players. For the sacrifices of Veterans must always be remembered and respected for they gave their tomorrows for our today.Special districts are a form of local government governed by an elected Board of Directors created by a local community to meet a specific need. Inadequate tax bases and competing demands for existing taxes make it hard for cities and counties to provide all the services their citizens desire. When residents or landowners want new services or higher levels of existing services, they can form a district to pay for and administer them.It is clear that a lot of pride and love went into the creation of these memorials and goes into maintaining them. This place is classy, clean and disabled-friendly. The floors are glossy, there are plenty of bathrooms and they are fresh and stocked. Many who work here are volunteers for as per Acts 20:35 ESV / "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.""As we walked the memorials, tears came as I again remember the words of General Norman Schwarzkopf Jr., United States Army (Ret.) Veteran, that "the more we sweat in Peace, the less we bleed in war." Those words should be and always must be the war standard that we hold every politician to. For "The military don't start wars. Politicians start war." correctly said General William Westmoreland, United States Army (Ret.) Veteran. That's why I support that all elected or appointed politicians who aren't currently Serving or haven't Served in America's Armed Forces, are required to spend the first six weeks of each of their terms in the front lines / combat zone hospital unit. Clovis Veterans Memorial District tells a terrifying story that war is never a nice place to visit, and no one wants to live there. It is a special district established 11 June 1946. In 1946, Ernest Hemingway wrote, "Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime." That's why I also support that all who aren't currently Serving or haven't Served in America's Armed Forces, are required to pay an annual War Tax of 10% of their gross income. I also support a draft for all with no exemptions.CDC rules are practiced here.

Whilst walking along the Old Town Trail, I happened to come across this building. At first I thought it was a little building, then I want around back. What a marvelous facility and marvelous memorials and statues! There are plaques that describe the various Wars that America has been in. This is really fascinating and well done! After seeing this facility, I can understand why people love this little town. What a wonderful feature of Clovis! My favorite of all was the sculptures out front of the various veterans. That was exceptionally well done!

The venue is nice and located in a nice area in the heart of old town Clovis, but the rent a cop security and I'm guessing management is horrible. We had an event at the liberty ball room. This venue only provides 5 hours of rental time in the contract, if you want additional time you have to pay for it. So we bought and extra hour for $150-$200...the security shut down our party at 1130. Wouldn't let our dj play any more music...when we told the guy we have this place till 12...he said it's part of the contract?? Excuse me per our contract our event goes till 12 not 1130!! I would avoid this place...there are many other venues out there, recently they renovated the regency hall in Clovis, better price and you get more for your money and falls event, and bankers ballroom is a beautiful venue as well!! I regret having our event at Clovis veterans!!

I attended the March of Dimes, Signature chef fundraiser here. I have driven by this building countless times but never thought too much about it. The event was very well planned and the facility was spot on from the registration to ancillary staff. Security detail was very visible which is always nice to see. The main ballroom is very well maintained and organized. I am glad to see such a facility in old downtown Clovis that will host events that will continue to benefit our community

I booked the independence a/b room for my wedding. The room was a great size. The staff in the morning and evening were friendly, helpful, and quick with whatever we needed. The event coordinator, Miya Ubick was one reason this review is 3 stars. Anytime I called or emailed (less than 10 times total) she made me feel like I was a complete bother and irritating her. Very unfriendly. She also gave me wrong information regarding table cloth size. So, be careful when booking with Clovis memorial, you'll be on your own. Lastly, when receiving my room in the morning it reeked of food from the previous night, not aired out at all and there was trash in different places of the room.
