Sierra Vista Mall has opened up an opportunity for individual artists and art associations to display and sell their work in their unused display windows. The Mall has always been a supporter of local art and artists, and on behalf of all the art associations and individual artists. If you haven't made a trip to the mall to see the art, you are missing an opportunity to enjoy a unique cultural experience and support local art and artists. At the East end of the mall on the North Side in the old Hallmark store, are displays of art by the Clovis Art Guild and the Alliance of California Artists. Clovis Art Guild is the oldest art association in the Clovis/Fresno Area. It was created in 1957 by artists. Some of the art displayed in the window galleries is by the nationally and sometimes internationally known, artists who make their homes in this area. Art-Tique, the local art organization that organizes the displays has a window directly opposite. On the West end of the mall across from Kohl's is a great display of glass and pottery by the San Joaquin Clay and Glass Association. ArtQuest, an informal group of local artists started by the late Monte Guynes are showing their stuff in the old "Z Fashion" storefront just before you reach Center Court. Art and photography by talented individual artists is also on display in the windows. Price lists are available in each window, along with information on how to contact the artist if you decide you want to purchase art for your home or office.
