THEY HAVE EARNED THEIR 5 STAR RATING! I contacted Gilbert with questions about a future construction job. I was impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and patience. He provided valuable information about how we could determine our most cost effective option. He offered to consult with us later in order to compare various scenarios for the best result. He was generous with his time and expertise although it didn't necessarily guarantee immediate business for him. I recommend him without reservation!

We recently moved back to Fresno and needed help renovating. I found Cloud Nine on Yelp and met Gilbert and team. They were professional and responsive - definitely deserves every stellar review. The primary work was to replace a wet bar with a wine cellar. It was a challenging project, especially in the Fresno summer heat, vendor supply issues and vendor mistakes. Although there were ups and downs, the team was level-headed and focused. We are very happy with the result! See pic. In addition to the wine cellar, they took on a number of smaller projects from painting to putting skylight. Each one done with care and craftsmanship. They let their work speak for themselves. We are very happy to know there is a team we can rely on for any future projects. Thank you!

The only thing I cannot go with is getting them to come and bid a job is $300, does not work when getting multiple bids and they come in the highest and there goes 2 weeks groceries. We had bids for my daughters homeAnd because of the high cost of remodeling a kitchen and moving a bathroom $150k they decided to build new here in Madera. I just cannot believe the cost of remodeling now, we have had our homeCompletely remodeled twice and the totalCost because we had multiple bids came in at less than a third of that and that included all newAnilin Catalina windows and two sliders, paid for solar and a new AC split system including new gas fireplace insert and one French door of three sliders. I'm not talking about this companyAs we never received a bid from them and were rated very highly.

If you want the job done right, with utmost professionalism and attention to detail, I cannot recommend Cloud 9 and Gilbert enough. We had 2 bathrooms in our house to be remodeled. The first one we decided to go with a cheaper contractor, and boy did we regret it. You really do get what you pay for, and after that experience with shoddy worksmanship, being left with a leaking sink and leaking shower head we were pretty cautious about hiring our next contractor. And we are not new to this, having already remodeled 2 prior condos. But when we met Gilbert and told him what we wanted for our master bathroom remodel, we were very reassured and our trust was justified. He is honest, very knowledgeable, with a lot of great ideas for our bathroom (figured out how to install a vent fan that turns on when the lights turn on in the shower through the side of our shower because no room in the ceiling). He and his team were very professional, and any time we had a concern about something he would address it immediately and work hard to correct it. You can tell that he genuinely cares about doing the job right, and takes pride in what he does. We could not be happier with how it all turned out, and would 100% recommend him to anyone. And we are pretty picky about how we like things done, so this is definitely high praise from us. If you want some one you can 100% trust with your remodel, who does great work and is considerate of being in your home and goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with their work, and who is reasonable in pricing, look no further and go with Gilbert and cloud 9 construction.

We absolutely LOVE our new master bathroom after Cloud Nine turned it into a relaxing, beautiful and functional space. I didn't have a full remodel plan in mind, I just knew I wanted more storage, a walk-in shower and something easy to clean. Gilbert was able to envision the things I wanted and make it look gorgeous! He suggested things that my husband and I would have never thought of, and we are grateful he had helped us in that way. We also had some things we wanted to add along the remodel process, and Gilbert was able to accommodate us and finds ways to make it work. We could not be happier and fully recommend Cloud Nine!!!

Long story short, Gilbert lied to me. Job was in August 2020. At first he seemed really nice and easy to communicate with. Replied timely. But don't fall for it. He helped me select "quartzite" countertops for my kitchen. We walked up and down the showroom looking at slabs. He told me it was quartzite over and over. We went together but Gilbert did the paperwork in office while we waited on the show floor so he could get a better "Contractor price." 1) He cheated me, he charged so much more extra. The warehouse listed it around $650-$700 and he told me each slab was around $1200! He also charged me extra since quartzite was so "difficult" and even "harder" to cut. Halfway done with my kitchen, I told him how much I appreciated his service ( his guys came and did everything, he had never been on site as of) and I thanked him. It was right after this time only that found out it was not quartzite, it was granite. We wanted a slab for the stove "wall" area and checked the warehouse ourselves for inventory since last time we had to wait a week or two for ordering. That's when we knew he was full of lies! I confronted him about it and at first he tried to convince me that it was quartzite still!! I had to show him the damn printout from the warehouse. 2) Then he gave me some BS about he didn't know and that the office must have lied to him. 3) I didn't know about quality, so I trusted him to help me select a good quartz slab (as that was what we wanted) he let us chose "granite" while lying to us that it was quartzite, he also did not tell me that this slab had "fissures" its pretty much a broken slab, imperfect whatever it is) basically not the best. 4) he tried to make himself look good by saying he would give me a good price on that oven wall slab (I also pairs for) since he had an extra price from previous work, this was a lie, as the piece was not even the same. I was nice enough to only demand fair costs. I ended up only paying him what I felt was worth but how dare he over charge me and lie- I didn't need to pay him since he led me to believe I was getting quartzite and I was NOT! If you want someone honest to work with, whom you could rely on and trust - don't go to him. I felt like I could have found someone more honest and I could have even gotten a better kitchen with what I paid.

UPDATE...Left a negative review previously. But, Gilbert, wonderful Gilbert- had contacted me a couple weeks after he seen my negative review and apologized for the bad communication. We spoke for a bit and worked something out. He offered to do whatever work I needed at home. I can say that I am absolutely happy with the work and time he put in to do a couple projects for my family and I. Cloud Nine was actually booked for months but Gilbert bit the bullet and got his team to handle the projects that I needed to get done. They did work in between their already booked, original schedules which I completely appreciate. He definitely made us feel like important customers. Our home is now complete thanks to this man. We got a playground area, swing set, sandbox and our walkway in our front yard that we imagined having. It all came out beautiful and my kids were definitely happy with the swing set and play area and are outside a lot more now, thank god lol. Thank you again, Gilbert for making us a priority and doing all you can to make me a happy customer. Thank you, thank you, thank you

My brother in law thought he could fix a hole in the roof by himself and the next thing we know is we see his foot go through the ceiling..... Sooo my husband looked on.... you guessed it, Yelp and we found this wonderful place! He called us back the same day, went to look at our house, gave us and estimate, we agreed it was reasonable and he came out within a day or 2 and did it! Unbelievable!!! Some specialty vendors are such a hit or miss, if they answer their phone, if they want re reasonable, of they come out when they say they are. I'm sure they are busy or work for themselves, but whatever the reason, if you say you will come, I really hope you do, and they did. Thank you!!! If we ever have another problem, we know who to call!

The owner was late to our appointment and never give me an estimate. Just wasted my time.

Will not recommend. Called and txt never got any quote from them. I will not be going after them,
