Churchkey

Churchkey is one of my go-to spots for downtown eateries. Tasty pints, delish cocktails, really decent pies! The pies could be a little less well-done on the bottom but that's more of a personal preference I guess. Love the variety of beers on tap--there is something for everyone!Service is always spot on; all the staff are great, attentive without hovering. This is a place you can take your time at, or stop in for a quick bite.

Ended up coming here unexpectedly while waiting for a table at raw sushi bistro. We got the jacked up poutine and it was delicious! They have a great selection of beers as well, we had a couple. Will definitely be back to try out their wings and more, they looked amazing! Really friendly staff as well and laid-back environment (really comfortable bar stools with backings.)

We walked here after the movies in downtown Modesto. The restaurant is very spacious with booths, a big bar and many tables. The server was very knowledgeable, friendly and speedy. The food was amazing! We had burgers, pizza and they had all kinds of great beers on tap.

Churchkeys is such a vibe. My last visit was great. I ordered the cauliflower bites (my fav) and a pizza. The bites were amazing. Tasty with or without ranch. The pizza we got was the forager. The pizza was ok. I think the mushrooms can be sautéed more but it was ok. Churchkeys is a good place to grab a pizza with someone and enjoy a couple of drinks. Our waiter (I forgot his name, but he had glasses) was amazing. On top of his drinks, and checking in on us.

I went here to eat ... food was odd tastings ... now it's now why Saw their health inspection 12th St. in Modesto, had seven violations Aug. 8 -- two of them major. Inspectors observed a dead rat on the floor of an abandoned bathroom in the facility and rodent droppings were in the corner of a hallway. The ceiling in the abandoned restroom had a large rodent access area. Another access point was identified at the wall/floor junction under a drink mixer machine and a dropping was found on floor of this area. A January 2023 inspection report indicated that the owners of the restaurant had been observing rodents in the facility since summer 2022. Rodents, their feces and traps have continued to be noted by inspectors since then.The rubber holder for the drink pistol at the bar was soiled. The soap dispenser was missing at the hand sink and the hot water faucet at the three-compartment sink in the bar area did not work.

I had the Q&L bowl! It was very filling and yummy. I'd like it better with less quinoa haha but it was still good!

Called in an order for pick up. Got there 15 minutes later and was told I never called. I showed them my recently placed calls with their number and the gal said oh not sure if that's our number. I called it and she answered and still refused to acknowledge.It was 108 out and needless to say waiting in the heat not fun. Recently moved to Modesto, won't be ordering again.

Since my first review it doesn't seem like the problem resolved. If you haven't seen the article, you should. Maybe think twice about going. You can read it yourself on the Modesto bee.

First our waitress was CARLIE !!!!She was fun and we got GREAT SERVICE!!Our first time here and we will definitely be back. Our food was super yummy and creative. And this place is really cool inside. Great find

Very basic menu. Nothing but a burger joint. Hard uncomfortable metal stools. Noisy. Non impressive
