omg the food and service is amazing!!love this place not hard to find especially if your not a local!!!

On a random visit to Sanger I had a little time to kill. Decided to try Chuck Wagon since my colleagues from Sanger rave about it. Easy enough to find and the service was fair. Quick interaction. I got the Chili Cheese Dog and a soda. The chili was good but it was a messy eat. The cheese was... not what I expected. I'm not a cheese connoisseur but it visually resembled cheese whiz. Not complaining, I actually like cheese whiz, very nostalgic. Just unexpected on a chili dog. The little paper sleeve the chili dog came in was not up to the task but I think the mess adds to the experience. Overall the chili dog was satisfying although I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Chuck Wagon. Nothing really special but I do see the allure, especially if you've been coming here all your life as a local. The old menu with the hand placed letters and the order up windows did make me smile remembering the hot dog place I grew up with. I prefer the chili dogs at Tommy's but not driving to So Cal just for that. If I'm ever in Sanger again I'll stop by to try something else. The mushrooms looked interesting. Nice job Chuck Wagon.

If you want the best chili cheese anything including dogs, fries or burgers, Chuck Wagon is the best! You won't be disappointed.

Good comfort food. Chili dogs, chili burger, deep fried mushrooms, krinkle fries with or without chili. Everything is so good. Styrofoam cups with crushed ice. This place is a gem.

They have the best chili in town and maybe the best chili ever! I have tried the chili at Pinks in Los Angeles but this one is way better. The chili cheese fries are the best because they use the crinkle cut fries. The service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is great too.

So this is a first time experience for me. I've always heard such great things about the chili dog so today while on my lunch since I was in the area I decided to stop and try it out. I called ahead and got hung up on before I was done ordering so that already gave me a bad vibe about service. I had to call back and the young lady kinda huff and puffed as I told her I wanted to make sure it was a chili cheese dog and not just a chili dog. And all she said was "yup ok is that all"; did not give a total or time when order would be done and i almost wasn't sure about my order based on her service but I knew they were busy so I just brushed it off. Even though, I think she could've been more hospitable and polite over the phone. But food was everything everyone has ever talked about only it wasn't very warm when I got it. And no I didn't take Long to pick up but the even though I called ahead I still had to wait a bit.

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and whenever I am in town I always make it a point to stop here. Is it the best food in the world...no, but it's consistent and love that its a small family owned spot. The fries are crinkle cut and so so so good. The ice in their sodas is just special. Their chili is bomb, chili dogs are great, burgers are great. Just a great small local burger stand. I'm glad they FINALLY accept cards after all of these years. Always friendly service and epitomizes the whole small town feel of a little burger stand in the middle of town. I'm 41 now and lived in SoCal for almost 20 years and would always stop by when I'm in town...I live in Seattle now and still make it a point to stop in for my chili dog and fries just because it tastes just great!

At the hospital during childbirth, my nurse mentioned how great this place was since we lived near Sanger. We finally decided to try it, having high hopes. Ordered a cheeseburger with chili cheese fries, and my husband got the speciality burger with crinkle fries. I get the nostalgia, but it reminded me of a mix between Snack bar food from a high school football game and cafeteria food. I really wish there was more to say, the only semi-good item was the chili cheese fries. The price was cheap, but it definitely was cheap ingredients, you get what you pay for. I really wish we had better to say

Best chili dogs around! We drive from another town just to get our chili fix. Only downside is if you try to call in your order the phone line is always busy.

Amazing chili. Love the chili cheese fries. I like the old school building. Prices reflect the raise in minimum wage. Not too many of these food establishments left.
