Chestnut Court Apartments

I have lived here for almost 2 &1/2 years. I decided to choose this place because it was close to my daughter's school (fyi... this is CLOVIS WEST district, not Clovis North) Upon moving in, I noticed there were TONS of roaches, which turned out to be a continuous problem inside and outside. If you live downstairs, be prepared for ZERO peace and quiet. You can hear everything from your upstairs neighbors. The backyard is mowed every Thursday, but it's not a place you want to hang out in... the grass is patchy, with dead spots & ugly. Management changes were consistent.... very annoying. The only positive about living here is the size of the rooms and bathrooms, closet space in the master bedroom, storage space, upgraded tile, and the gas stove. The quality of the grounds and buildings is not nice at all.... and the rent is as much or more as a mortgage. I paid $1185 for a 2br/2ba, with garage. It's now going for around $1300..... which to me, is NOT worth it. I will be sure to update my review once I find out my return on my deposit....I left my apartment spotless. The manager took OVER 1 HOUR going through every inch, pointing out a crumb left behind, a scuff mark, a normal nail hole, and anything else she could use. I am also aware, that the California State Law, states that normal wear and tear is the owners responsibility... and not the tenant. I am yet to receive any itemized statement for paint and carpet cleaning, which this complex is saying I'm responsible for......21 days is almost up.

Best apartment I've ever lived in. Gated, clean, quiet, safe, spacious and friendly/courteous neighbors. Awesome amenities/ especially the pool hall that can be reserved for events (free of charge) is very large, clean, and fancy. Felt like a real home. Covered, detached, automatic garage! Great location and great price given the area!! I still miss that place sometimes ; )

I've done a lot of apartment searching. I've probably toured 3/4 of the apartments in the Fresno area. After talking to the manager Nicole, and touring the property I put a deposit down for an apartment. This place is amazing. The grounds are peaceful and shaded. The pool area is spacious clean and very comfortable. There is an incredible clubhouse with a full kitchen and game room that you can reserve for events, free of charge. The units are large clean and comfortable. There's plenty of storage in the apartment and in the included garage. Maintenance is fast and very friendly. So far I've lived here for four months and it's been perfect. I think we're going to stay for a long time to come.
