Chateau Monterey II

This the best apartment complex we've ever lived in. We've been tenants almost 7 years and have never had any problems. The grounds are very well kept, it's pin-drop quiet at night and very safe. The rent is reasonable for the area and we're grateful we found our home here.Managers are the heart of any complex (if you've ever had a bad one, you know!) and ours (Susan) is friendly, efficient and absolutely awesome at her job. We are very lucky to have one that listens, responds quickly and is on top of everything. Our maintenance man, Felipe, is also wonderful & is always available for anything we may need him for. Honestly, we hope to be here for years to come.

I have lived here for 10 years and over that time i have had zero problems. The current manager, Susan, has been extremely personable. Always takes my calls, and helps me with a sweet smile. I love it here. I know all my neighbors and love them too.

When living this apartment it was hard to tell what to expect location wise but you honestly can't find a better spot to stay it is so central. Everything is easily reached by foot.The apartment spacious and comfortable with enough utensils for our stay. Didn't notice any noise.All of the apartment staff were friendly and helpful. We interacted with them several times regarding several topics and each person was gracious and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them. Thank you, guys.If you're looking for somewhere close to everything where you can walk to local places I would highly recommend here. We mainly walked everywhere only about a 10-minute walk.Will definitely recommend for families, couples and anyone who wants a nice clean place to stay Thank you.

I really like this apartment where I stayed for 2 years with my family. We enjoyed our time in Clovis, CA and found the facilities & location wonderful - truly "home from home". The apartment suites are of generous size and very well-equipped. The apt was very clean and the amenities such as fully equipped kitchens, ceiling fans, air conditions were all superb.The apartment located on the Clovis & Fresno border, you'll find great shopping, restaurants and Fresno State University just minutes away.We enjoy the pool. The pool was really awesome! The staff was always very polite and friendly. Thumbs up for you guys. keep up the great work!I would absolutely recommend staying at Chateau Monterey II Apartment.Recommended from the heart.

Average apartment complex. I have lived in many different complexes, and this one had the worst move-out inspection policy. My lease was 6 months.Just after I moved in, the face of a cabinet drawer came off while I was opening it. There are no handles, just a wooden face, and the drawer is made from MDF-not wood. The staff was notified, and they removed the drawer, but never fixed it. So I lived there without a drawer. Positive:Washers and Dryers on site in a locked room. This, I like. 2 pools with patios and tables.Walking distance to a small park-- great for children, dogs, soccer, football, or BBQs. Covered parking spot.office is open 7 days a week and the staff is friendly.Large Pantry Very Hot Water- and you don't have to wait for it to "warm up"Negative:No patio/balcony. I lived in a unit facing the street, so the unit was discounted, and they do not allow you to have any decor or items outside of your apt "that passers by" can see. So no plants, garden stakes, garden decor etc., but all units inside can have whatever they want outside of their units: BBQs, benches, garden, plants, motorcycles etc.The move-out: I moved out on a Sunday and wanted to inspect the unit with the office worker. Apparently because she was alone, she could not do that? When I received the bill for the unit, I was a little surprised at the charges. Light bulbs were 4.50 ea. and I was charged for "4 bulbs" reasoning: "not ours" (when I left all lights were working and I never had to replace any of them.) "Deep cleaning of the oven because of heavy use" ?? I never used the oven once while I lived there. Their carpet cleaning policy is very expensive as well. I ended up owing $250 more than what the deposit of $400 covered.

This place is where you go when you're broke and need a semi-decent place asap. These people will lie to your face to get you to sign the rental agreement, so be careful. I was shown a unit with a big kitchen, ceiling fans in every room, new appliances, etc. Is that what I got? No. The manager/staff take weeks to fix things that take the rest of us 5 minutes. The manager, Abby, sits behind her desk and plays with her phone most of the day. Its a running joke with alot of the neighbors here that she is absolutely useless. Bare minimum around here, nothing more. Theres a laundry room for tennants, but its always full and the machines arent that great. Plus its over 3 bucks for one load of laundry. Also, if you live here be prepared to excersize when taking out your trash. Its a LONG walk for most of us. ALSO, if you have kids, check "Meagan's List" before moving here. There have been problems with certain activities here recently.

This is the best apartment community I have lived in by far. I feel safe here the management is professional and addresses any issues promptly, This establishment is free of drugs crime no gang members and all residents are pleased to have such a well maintained and clean property. All maintenance issues are handled promptly. The management is very professional and has the residents adhere to the rules implemented in the leases to maintain a safe environment for all . The grounds are clean and well maintained. This is a wonderful place to live quiet lovely the staff being on their toes maintaining the property I value a lot. I also can state that the management and maintenance are professional kind and promptly address any concerns our community has. I enjoy the experience of being able to be part of the community here.

My wife and I leased an apartment here for a year as we saved for a new home. I was looking for something reasonably priced located near Fresno State and this was perfect. It is quiet and well maintained, with a pool, laundry and a centralized hot water system....you never run out! The apartment was clean and recently refurbished with new appliances. Susan, the manager, was very professional and a pleasure to deal with from day one. She explained everything that needed to be done so there were no surprises on move-in day, she had the maintenance man respond quickly when needed for repairs and kept us informed if property maintenance and repair projects might impact us. Move-out was a simple process and she explained very clearly what we were charged for and why. We felt safe and comfortable at Chateau Monterey II and recommend it highly.

*** PLEASE READ***Most of the positive reviews for this apartment complex are fake. I have only given a rating of 4 stars so Yelp won't remove it from view. If you take the time to actually read them, one can see that they are written by people who have never lived in / visited this complex. Now for the truth: This complex has had 3 different managers since I've been here, and every one of them has been more inept than the last. The "ammenities" are one step up from garbage. The pool is basically an over-chlorinated ditch. The entire complex (100 people at LEAST) has 4 washers and 4 dryers in one room; THATS IT. Half of the units have appliances that are in disrepair, no living room lights, no bedroom fans, etc. The community trash area is unsafe and constantly inundated with homeless rummaging through it (night AND day). To add, human feces can usually be found in multiple areas around this complex. To add, the tenants from the sister complex directly next door utilize OUR lawns daily to allow their pets to urinate and defacate without cleaning it up, so the ambient smell of this complex reflects it's general quality; shitty. Please note that if you are able to disregard all of these warnings and still move in: you will be given a total for your rent, then a water bill of an undisclosed/random amount will be added to your rent, and you will be unable to pay your rent separate from the water bill, so your rent is ACTUALLY HIGHER than on the contract you signed. Welcome to the illegal practices of Chateau Monterey 2!!! Enjoy the smell!!!

Four of our family member stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment for 2 years at Clovis. Family room, offered 2 showers and aircon with fans in all rooms - We found it to be clean tidy ideally placed and was 100% self-contained including washing machine and dryer and full kitchen. Fantastic location and perfect apartment. Clean, open and air conditioning..
