Central Station Bar & Grill

I came across Central Station and decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. Upon entry, we were greeted warmly and asked if we preferred seating in the bar area or the dining room. Since it wasn't very crowded, we chose the dining room.When I asked what they were known for, the staff recommended the meatball sandwich, fish and chips, and shrimp tacos. I decided to try the fish and chips, and I wasn't disappointed. The fish was fresh, battered to order, and served piping hot. The dish came with three fish fillets, hand-cut fries, coleslaw, lemon slices, and tartar sauce.I'm not usually a fan of tartar sauce, but theirs was excellent--there seemed to be a hint of lemon in it that really elevated the flavor. Everything was fantastic. The coleslaw was a little dry for my taste but still had good flavor overall.Several other items on the menu looked great, and I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town!

We haven't been here in 4 years and now we remember why. Even under new ownership, we don't know how the place is still in business. Horrible service. Literally waited 15 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted drinks. Then drinks come, but no silverware, napkins, anything. We place order and wait over 40 minutes. Once food comes they served everything at once. Including appetizers. So disappointing. We start into pizza (they only had cauliflower crust left) and it has a foul, burnt smell and taste. The Caesar salad had little to no dressing, the shrimp tacos were so fried that they crumbled, like coal. We flipped the pizza over to see if all the slices were burnt and they were. A man walked by. Still no waitress. No refill on water. 10 mins go by, we decided to call it. The food was just too bad. At that moment the man who had walked by comes up with a box and a brand new pizza. He had noticed the burnt pizza. My husband wondered how why they couldn't get it out that fast to begin with. Unfortunately this pizza smelled just as bad. I'm thinking the pizza oven had not been cleaned in some time. He apologized and said he would not charge for the pizza which is funny because I had a free entree coupon. So I should not have paid for it anyway. Needless to say won't ever go back. Still left a hefty tip because I'm not a b****.

We had an awesome experience on Valentine's Day here. The food was amazing. We ordered the ribeye with red wine reduction *chefs kiss* and beef ravioli with creamy vodka sauce. My husbands ribeye was cooked perfectly and the raviolis had great flavor. I liked how there was a set themed menu. I normally wouldn't have ordered an appetizer or dessert but I'm glad that I did! It made the experience unique and enjoyable. Overall I'm very happy that we chose to come.

Came here during a work trip. Got in really late so they were pretty empty. It has a typical sports bar vibe. The server was very friendly and didn't get annoyed that we were keeping him. We loved their cocktails. And the food was sooooo good!! The pork BBQ had just the right amount of kick to it. Highly recommend!!

My son and I went to lunch here whileI am visiting from Hawaii. The service was good and it's a great atmosphere. We were promptly seated on a train car and that was really interesting. It is right next to the Santa Fe railroad tracks so you hear and feel trains going past. Really nice menu with lots of delicious sounding options. Unfortunately pizza oven was inoperable the day we went. We both chose different burgers he had the Mac attack and I had the take em to the station. Interesting thick curly fries with good flavor and texture. Best burger I have had in a while. Nice drink selection. Enjoyed the blood orange Cali squeeze. Would recommend and will return when on the mainland.

Went in for the special valentines menu and was not disappointed. The food was amazing! Red wine reduction sauce was perfectly paired with the Ribeye steak. Haven't had such a unique experience in a long time. Super happy with the champagne raspberry sorbet, you don't see that often. Great ambiance for a romantic night out, they played love songs to match the holiday vibe.

Came in for drinks and appetizers. Krysta made me the absolute best tequila drink ever. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and overall so sweet. We will definitely be back!! :)

Stopped in with some friends last night. Our server Krysta was awesome. Super sweet, and very helpful. She gave us some solid recommendations. The chipotle chicken pasta was fire . The place was chill, will definitely be back in.

Best tap beer in down town.! Best burger in down town Turlock for a good price. Feels like I'm in the continental vibe's!!

Their Central Burger and Fries are terrific. I've enjoyed it twice in the last month.Also, on Monday nights they have an $20 special that includes a 20 oz draft beer and any one of their burgers. I'm going back next Monday!
