Carnitas Del Bajio

I come into Los Banos about once a week and I was turned onto this place, by a friend. There's nothing I love more, than a good breakfast burrito. My friend knew this and we met there for breakfast. I was surprised how nice this place looked, as soon as I walked in. It didn't feel like I was in Los Banos anymore, but in a restaurant somewhere in Mexico. You'll be served by friendly staff, it's nicely decorated inside, tons of eating and plenty of beverages to choose from. Of course I ordered the breakfast burrito and had a glass bottled Coca-Cola. After we ordered, we sat down and before received my breakfast burrito, we were surprised by crispy tacos, chips, and salsa. They were delicious and almost filled me up, before I got my breakfast burrito. You might ask, was that breakfast burrito? Good? You better believe it was! Everything was fresh well seasoned and delicious. I'm definitely trying to make my way back over there, as soon as possible.Only thing that bums me out, they are not open on Mondays. Of course that's usually the day I drive through Los Banos. Definitely check them out. I'll be back!

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The only thing I did not like was that everything, including the carnitas, buche, and cuerritos, was chopped and mixed up. The place itself has a good vibe and a nice aesthetic. I took my order to go, and the wait was a bit long, but I went on a Saturday, and there were large families dining in, so the wait was worth it.

The tacos were delicious. Service friendly. Salsa just the right level of spicy. Some tips since there isn't any information online about this location yet, hours seem to be Tues-Sun 10-8. Closed Monday (maybe). Bring cash if you can. There is a 3% credit card fee. Which is not really the issue, but there was no option to tip which was the bummer. My three tacos came to just over $7 total and came with chips. That's a great deal in today's market. The inside is clean with multiple tables.

Bad service. At times the rice is cold and other times is las tortillas. The meat they use for the carnitas is the cheapest they can get as it does not have what the real carnitas have. Same as other places close to Los Banos, call them carnitas but they are an imitation of what the really carnitas are. Don't recommend this place as is always almost empty.

Amazing food, great staff/service, and the restaurant looks amazing inside and very clean! We ordered their carnitas tacos, and carne asada burrito and it was delicious. So far this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Los Banos.

Fresh and tasty carnitas! Great service. Clean restaurant. Definitely going again.
