California Solar

California Solar installed my system 4 months ago. It has stopped working now. No response to emails and phone calls get "someone will get right back to you" and then nothing. If you use this company, expect NO follow up to any questions or problems. It is possible that the system is working and the meter is not. I had this happen on another solar installation a few years ago but these people will not come and look at my system to tell me if it is functioning correctly. They will not return phone calls or emails. What a mess!!!! Avoid them. Bill M

We HIGHLY recommend California Solar and the solar system that they offer. We did our due diligence and interviewed and received estimates from several other solar companies. Ms. Heather Coffey (sales) was able to get us the system we wanted, at a price that we could afford. Everyone on the team (from sales, installation, customer service, and even the owner, Kenny) that we have come in contact with have been very professional, respectful, friendly and very helpful. We purchased our system last year and whenever we have questions, we call and they get addressed in a very timely manner.

Well, they did a great job on the install and we're great with service for a while. Now though, I cannot seem to get anyone to return my calls. My solar panels are not working at all and no one calls or responds. Are they even still in business?

!!!!!!!SAVE YOURSELF!!!!!!! I can't believe anyone would give them a positive review! I did a power purchase agreement because I was assured I would never have to pay beyond the lower tier. Shame on me for believing, shame on them for lying!....I m going to do whatever I can to get out of this deceitful contract that was perpetrated on me by them, and go with an honest, reliable company. At the time I knew I wasn't getting the best deal but, I'M PAYING MORE THAN BEFORE!!!. There are quite a few good companies out there, but right now I'm looking for an attorney, that wants to stop the deceitful marketing campaigns, that are being perpetrated on the public, by unscrupulous local contractors to benefit investors in San Francisco. They offered to pay me for contacts but I wasn't willing to sell out my friends or acquaintances. BOTTOM-LINE DON'T GO WITH THEM!! YOU WILL (I MEAN WILL!) REGRET THIS DECISION.

These people SUCK!!! Panels not working and so much for the lifetime warranty if you cant get in touch with anyone!! And Sarah P. How is that possible.... they were out of business and have been for months and months.

This is a terrible business. The under calculated the number of panels I needed by 50%! Two of the panels were installed incorrectly. Water leaked through one of the solar panel brackets into my kitchen. I called many times to have them fix, but no return calls. Had to pay another contractor to seal the leak to prevent permanent water damage to my house. They don't care about you after purchase. They are incompetent. Stay away. So many other good solar installers out there these days.

California Solar did a great job installing my panels and they got me a great deal! I highly recommend.

When we started on the solar panel road, California Solar was good. They called and kept us up to date on the status. Once the panels were installed, there has been no contact. The monitoring system to help optimize the panels has never worked. A bracket fell from the roof. I called to ask about it and have someone make sure everything is secure. No one has answered the phone. I left multiple messages, no one has ever called me back.

I spent $30,000 to install solar panels and an EV charger system. It's been 18 MONTHS and I still don't have the EV charger work completed. I see/hear from/call the owner every 1-2 months, but it's STILL NOT DONE.Kenny, what the heck?

This company has very bad customer service. We were told by the salesperson and the owner, Kenny that if we got the Hero loan, 100% would be tax deductible. After getting the solar installed, we found out that it wasn't true. We also referred two friends and were told that the referral fee was $500. It took many calls to finally receive that money. After the installation, it also took many calls for someone to come by to show us how to get the app to check on the pannels' productivity. With all the solar companies out there, I would never choose this one again.
