So we went here for Valentines Day because they had a offer on their event page for a $75 meal for two which included 4 courses. They we were really busy, but I think with the staff and amount of guests they handled it all like a champ. Drinks were good and I could have easily went for a couple more since they were going down pretty smooth. The cheese plate was decent for the two of us considering we had 3 more courses to mow down through. The soup was good and a ample size. They steak and lobster was full of flavor, the only draw back and only reason i knocked off a star which would have been a perfect 5 out of 5, was my wife's' steak was cooked to a well done and you could tell it was dry as hell, otherwise my steak was a perfect medium rare!Trust me this still will not keep me from coming back and trying the regular menu because some of those burgers rolling out, looked pretty damn delicious.Atmosphere was really relaxed and they had a lounge singer who was winging it, she wasn't horrible and not sure if she was there for the special occasion or a regular occurrence.

inside the Wyndham Hotel, across from Plaza Park, we found a great place to have dinner after the Renaissance Faire. There isn't a HUGE variety of items on the menu, but plenty enough for everyone to find something interesting. Kat had seared scallops, served over assorted veggies, with a creamy sauce. She loved it. I stole one of the scallops, a big old guy, and I can say it was perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables, and the sauce was tasty, but mild. No really strong flavors jumping out at you. I had a burger with Bleu cheese and sauteed mushrooms. Very tasty. Melted cheese flowing down the side of the burger, fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and a good stack of perfectly done onion rings. The best part of this place though, every time, is Rick. Rick knows his job, and is super friendly. Keeps the water and iced tea coming, which is very important after a day at Faire. Rick rocks, and when The Rocking Horse Guy says that, it means something.

I actually really loved my dinner here! Hotel food isn't the best usually, but the chicken sandwich here was amazing. They also let you do half French fries and half onion rings which I LOVE! The onion rings were perfectly cooked! The fries could have used a bit more salt. It is pretty loud in this restaurant, but that might have just been because there were a lot of people there at the time I went. The drinks here are pretty good. I got a margarita, it was a bit on the sweet side but still good.

My gfs family raved about this place, but honestly I didn't see the appeal. The service was great, but the food was mediocre. The jalapeño poppers were good, but the fries needed ketchup due to the lack of flavor and my bun on my burger was too crispy. I would've liked more sauce to cover the dryness of the food.

Have stayed at this hotel many times for business prior to Covid. They had a great selection of freshly made breakfasts and dinners. They now changed their business model. I was craving a nice bowl of Oatmeal and a coffee. Paid $7.00. They handed me this and pointed me to the hot water. Very disappointed. My hope is that they are transitioning to getting back to a real restaurant. American Breakfast

Restaurant is very clean and contemporary. Thought I would of had a better experience. On arrival front desk person sat us right away. Place was very slow considering it was around 9:30 am on a Sunday. Sever came by asked for our drinks with no welcoming smile or personality. Later on our server called out...from across dining room if we needed coffee refills. Then another server told their table from.iIm thinking it's the door to kitchen....I forgot your fruit you still want it? ..........this is not good costumer service. It's hard to believe staff feels its ok to communicate this way to costumers. Not trying to sound negative or give this place a bad review. It's just the restaurant is very nice and I'm hoping management can do something to correct costumer service.

Probably the most underrated restaurant in Visalia, no joke! When you come to eat at a hotel restaurant you do not expected to find some of the best food in town but this is exactly what California Cafe does. This place is a gem.The decor is a little outdated but do not let that stop you from experiencing this place. The food is what I would describe as California cuisine with a French twist. It tastes as if it is being made fresh in the kitchen. The staff are super super friendly and the service is fast. Joe was our waiter and he was awesome. He was funny, knew the menu, made great recommendations. Honestly if you are reading this and contemplating giving this place a try, do yourself a favor and do it! You will Not be disappointed!

The Shrimp-stuffed avocado with balsamic glaze is out of this world. We live locally and visit as often as we can. Rick is always attentive as our Server.

Considering that this is a hotel restaurant, it does very well at providing a three-meal menu, and compares favorably to any chain outlet and most standalones - any Bay Area or LA travelers will find it commendable. The food is quite good, despite a very ambitious dinner menu (see posting), and the all-important breakfast offerings are simply great. In season, I enthusiastically recommend the avocado toast (with egg), but it's not light - as with most of the items, portions are generous. The fruit bowl easily serves two, and pairs nicely with their oatmeal. Ambiance and decor are attractive and to above-average Wyndham standards. Service is reasonably attentive and pleasant, although a bit slow during our visit, possibly due to staffing issues.

Great service. Great food. Worth the stop. Friendly ambiance. We are a family of four. There was something for everyone. We also had the onion soup which was yummy. Kudos to the chef and cooks.
