"Love the burger and fried calamari. That's my usual order. I've tried specials but I wasn't too impressed. Their bread is also delicious. It's only offered by request during lunch hours."

"What a beautiful place to dine, very country like, clean, and festively decorated for the holidays. When we came in, I had the feeling that nobody wanted to serve us, however, to find out that the server was on break. For that I'm not going to give in less than five stars because right after that the pace was picked up. Immediately we ordered drinks, and my wife ordered a dirty martini vodka and she says that it was the best she ever had. And my wife knows her drinks as she sleeps with an open bar next her side of the bed.We order the lobster crab cake appetizer, my impressions were, that's it? We were served two lobster cakes and a bunch of lettuce. However, they still get a five star because they were very good especially the remola sauce. The salad was well prepared and I got a very tiny cup of delicious mushroom soup. A tiny cup I said, but it was the best mushroom soup I ever had. Finally, it all made sense why everything was so small portions because when I order the seafood pasta it was a humongous serving. A meal for two and it was out of this world. My wife had the garlic marinated steak medallions. Her dish looked amazing as well. We finished it with the hot molten lava chocolate cake and after 65 years that was the best freaking dessert. Everything deserves a five star regardless of the minor slow start in service. Look forward to coming back soon"
"Parking can be tricky. You may have to park in the neighborhood or, if you park in the lots behind the businesses on the north side of Tower District, you will have to walk.Large menu to choose from. It will take awhile to get your food so be patient.Service can be sporadic if the restaurant is busy. I had to hunt down a server to get our checks and box up leftovers. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. It can be noisy due to hard surfaces."
"The food is good. I ordered 14 oz rib eye medium rare. Very good with onion and mushroom as toppings. The service is good. They're very prompt to items asked and they will check what you need frequently. The thing I don't like the most is there are flying flies throughout the course. That's really bothersome."
"Food was good, not great. A little pricey for the amount you get. I hadn't been in years, but we were given a gift card at Christmas so thought we'd try it again. Our waiter was great! We were a party of 12, it was a Saturday night so it was busy. Our waiter hustled. Not sure if they were short on bartenders, but the drink service was bad! Took forever, even in the not crowded bar we visited after dinner for a night cap! I think I'd be willing to try it again. The side salad I got with my chicken sandwich was pretty basic. Literally chopped iceberg lettuce. Hubby said his steak and baked potato are better at home and half the price!"

Wow, what a great experience! I had made reservations for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect since it was my first time dinning at Dewz. For food, we ordered a Brie and two pasta dishes along with drinks. The Brie was simply amazing. I loved the combo with the strawberry puree and the pistachios. It had a creamy, sweet but crunchy taste to it. The pastas were good as well. Mine had a chili oil base to it whereas my bf had a beef broth to it. The drinks had the right amount of alcohol but not overly sweet either. Service was good too. Water was always constantly served and our waitress would explain everything that was in our dishes including options for desserts. One thing that caught me off guard is they will fold your napkin for you if you were to leave it sorta in a balled up status if you go use the bathroom. Def fancy fancy The interior has an intimate atmosphere to it with its dim lighting and dark furniture coloring. Good option to take someone for a special occasion, or maybe first date (if you want to give a great impression lol). This place is pricey so expect to spend somewhere near the 3 digits to 4 digits amount. My one take away is for what you are paying for, I kinda wished they gave a little complementary birthday cake. Even if it's bite sized. Overall, I would definitely come back again, only on a special occasion though.

We've been regulars of Max's for years and this is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is nice and service is usually excellent. They display Tomas paintings throughout the restaurant giving it a very unique art gallery feel. My go to orders are the Max's burger, salmon salad, Chinese chicken salad and grilled cheese sandwich which comes with soup and salad. They also have a Bahn Mi sandwich that is delicious and daily specials.

Seated and served by an amazing young man Matthew Dugovi. Matthew was friendly and willing to share information about the lake area. Service was excellent. We sat at a table near the window overlooking Bass Lake and the surrounding mountains. We had a Ruben sandwich and French fries with garlic aioli sauce for dipping that was delicious. Highly recommended. Let's not forget the full bar but we just had a couple of beers from the taps. Located in a beautiful lodge hotel.

Simply delicious! The food doesn't disappoint! Soooo many flavors in this dish and very impressed. Dined in the lounge and the service and ambiance were wonderful. If the change of ownership has you on the fence, it's time to give our hometown restaurant another go! You won't be disappointed. Cheers!

It's a nice place with friendly and welcoming service. Might be a bit dark inside for some, however it wasn't overly loud at lunch. I had a sourdough melt and it was a generous portion and the fries were great too! I really like the Railroad camp shrimp, if you like shrimp definitely try that. We came to Richard's for an early Mother's Day dinner. Service is outstanding! We were immediately greeted, then promptly seated by what seemed like the manager. Our server came over immediately and she was delightful our entire visit. The food was outstanding and would have made our time enjoyable regardless, but our server was just excellent, a total professional. She checked on us often and chatted but never too much. We ordered the rib eye, prime rib and the bacon wrapped steak bite skewers with veggies. I thought it sounded boring but that plate was great. I loooved my rib eye. Of course, I could not finish it and it was still delicious the next day. Their sides are also delicious. We got baked potatoes, chili beans and the green beans - so good! We also shared a slice of pistachio cake and NY cheesecake for dessert. Both were outstanding, couldn't decide on a favorite. Needless to say, we had to roll out the door. We can't wait to go back.

"This review is specifically for the happy hour! We have not eaten dinner here recently enough to review the restaurant -- just happy hour in the bar.For many years, my husband and I enjoyed going to happy hour at Tahoe Joe's. When the kids were small we'd leave them with Grandma and Grandpa and head to Tahoe Joe's bar on West Shaw (before that location closed). It was almost like our Cheers -- my husband had been some of the servers' teacher and it was just a very friendly relaxed vibe. Our go-to was always beer and the nachos. Perfect relaxing snack at the bar. The West Shaw location has been closed for many years and a couple times when we tried the bar at the N Cedar location, it was too frenetic and crazy-busy.But ...I had a hankering for those nachos. So we went tonight to the N Cedar location after work to check out Friday happy hour before a holiday weekend. Dangerous, right? No -- there was plenty of space at the bar. Some of the high top tables were occupied but at the bar itself, it was one businessman at the other end of the bar and ourselves.Service was friendly and quick. My husband got his old standby Lagunitas, but I broke with my beer tradition and instead ordered a "Joes Moscow Mule" from the happy hour menu. I didn't ask what made it "Joe's" in particular but it was cold, refreshing, and a good price. The menu says "Smooth Russian Standard Vodka muddled with fresh mint and lime then hand-shaken with ginger beer." It's true I saw the bartender muddling. It was a good drink -- not especially strong but I felt it a bit. During happy hour I think it was $7 instead of $9.75. Don't quote me. It was a little cheaper for sure.Husband was happy with his draft Lagunitas. And the nachos -- they were just as we remembered -- once we got them. We had forgotten they didn't have any meat (which was fine, but we might have requested to add some protein). And we'd forgotten that we usually asked for some salsa on the side to add to them. I think in the old days we also used to see guacamole on the nachos: but maybe it was something we requested to add.The nachos were good and brought back our happy hour memories -- warm crispy chips with refried beans, melted cheese, sour cream, jalapeños, and a little chopped tomato and cilantro. Quite tasty. We'll definitely come back here soon. If it was closer to our home, I could see making this a regular "thing" again. It's just very chill and relaxed -- and it's a nice treat without stuffing your face or getting too expensive."
"We always see Richard's from the 180 freeway and say, "We need to go there." Today was the evening, and let me say our experience was just excellent! The ambiance, the service, and the food were just perfect! Our waitress was so attentive and made our dinner extra special. Towards the end of our meal (Ribeye and Filleminon), we ordered two Old Fashions, and OMG, they were DELICIOUS!!!!!We will be back soon! Thank you, Debi S., for being so attentive and sweet!"
"Food was good and the customer service was great. The steak was good but a little bit on a pricey side. Loved their bread and soup."
"We had our Christmas ever dinner here - party of 11 with 4 kids. Our reservation was at 5:30 so there weren't too many people there when we arrived which meant the room with our table was nice a quiet. Once people started coming in however, the room was extremely loud with made it difficult to converse with others at our own table. The noise aside, I do have to say I would give this restaurant five stars solely based on the food taste and quality. Everything we had was really delicious. This is actually what actually made me give three stars and nothing less.If I was rating this place on the service alone, I would rate one star. In my opinion, the service was severely lacking for the amount of money one has to dole out for even one dish, let alone 11. We were greeted ok, but once we were seated, it really went downhill. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and when she was at our table, she would get an order/request from one or two people then disappear for what seemed like forever. She would come back and do the same thing. This happened throughout the night. I assumed she was busy and let it go until I asked her for extra cherries for my son's Shirley Temple - she seemed to have sighed and made a face that I just couldn't let slide. This was the end of it for me. When a table pays upwards of $1,000 for a dinner, you would expect top notch service. Her attitude was totally unacceptable. I read previous reviews after the fact that were similar to my experience which makes me believe the management/owners really don't mind that their waitstaff treat their customers this way. For this reason, I don't think I'll be back. There are many other options in town that do offer a great overall experience that would appreciate your hard earned cash."
"The service was marginal at best OVERALL. Ambiance had only country music playing what a shocker in oakdale.... My burrito was less than desirable and my girls she though was ok... the service was good when we came initially in for chips and salsa and to refill our water cup.... the chips came out hot... the salsa had a good flavor big peaces of cilantro mostly stems.... (Yuk) so i base a Mexican restaurant by there chips and salsa partially .... So nothing to repot to bad on that part... my girl got identically to what i got pollo and me carne asada wet burrito only difference is i like mine on the side so i asked it for on the side he attempted (server) to have me get the burrito that has no wet sauce.... I expressed i want the same burrito just with the sauce on the side... i no that places will attempted to drown a burrito in sauce for a lack of spice or flavor to there meat. At that point after i took the first bite i realized ordering the burrito was a bad idea... things only got worse from here. i asked for a check i can sense he could tell i wasn't happy he asked if we want any dessert of drinks(up selling) .... Nice try but not today so the bill comes out i forgot to mention i ordered a side of beans to dip the chips in i read they were 3$ on the menu ... but he asked if we wanted cheese and sauce we said sure, so noticing the Oaxaca cheese was stale and not good. So he bring out the receipt for us to pay and it had 4 items Item $15.00 (burrito)Item $15.00 (burrito)Which i was on board with but also two other charges Item $2.00 (????)Item $8.00 (bean dip are you @&#% kidding me)I mind you i mentioned we only ordered 3 items i said id like a itemized bill so i can actually see what im paying for ... i asked what are those two charges for the 2$ for hes states the "red" sauce i said i wanted a wet burrito just the sauce on the side i was like no you guys think im a sucker. I asked is the 8$ what i think it was for the beab dip and he said yes.lol so for a some beans its 3$ but for a lil bit of queso and almost no sauce a extra 5$ lol wow. I new at that point i realized most of there customers were drinking alcohol beverages and me and my girl werent having any drinks other than water. I over heard the guy serving us saying it was his last day i figure he just had ti up sell and charge US for some items that should of came with ...... long story shot my girl used the rest room she cane out quick and i asked her ur never that quick she said i didnt use it so i automatically new she was referring to it being nasty. So i think a two stars is generous plus i no most people don't pay attention to 1star reviews. After taxes & being overcharged by 10 dollars i will never go back i will stick to Suzy Belens ever time now! So you lost a customer for over charging a customer.... The 10 dollars you got from me could of been multiplied by 4 times a month coming back to visit thats how much we eat out 4 times a month... so your loss not mine! He never brought me a itemized bill back and never took no money off the bill and brought me the bill you will see below smh ! Its rare that i think a business should go out of business i see this establishment has been open since 1998 idk how, seriously all the clients must just go for the booze and be shit faced tipsy!"
"The food has absolutely improved here and I've tried a variety including this Mile High Grilled Cheese. Flavor is amazing see the melted cheese and thousand island dressing with the ham, turkey and crisp bacon, all on a crusted cheese bread. Heavenly and so large could only eat half which means 2 meals for the price."
"I love the feel of this place! It struck us as a community spot... lots of people seemed to know each other. The waitress was so super friendly (a theme we saw everywhere in Clovis). My hubs and I both had crispy chicken salads; we were both quite pleased! The chicken was in fact crispy and had a good flavor, and the salad portions were fresh. Good ranch too!Convenient location in Old Town!"
"A great place to dine before going to the Gallo Center which is a block away. We had an amazing meal here! The Shrimp Bruschetta was so delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Ribeye with Gorgonzola and Mushrooms with mashed potatoes. I had the Salmon and Shrimp with roasted zucchini and red potatoes and lemon caper sauce. Loved it! Hats off to the chef! They have a bar. They could add more wine options though. They also have Jazz every other Monday."
