"Pizza & Beer is a brilliant combination we have all enjoyed for years. Planning Mill Pizza is truly one of the best in town. We chose this venue to host a family celebration. They have two party rooms to pick from, one larger than the other. I was disappointed with the responsiveness of the representative in charge of securing the room. It did cause unwanted stress when trying to ensure everything was in order and ready to go. The day of the event arrived, there was no one to greet us or show us to the party room. This was not a good sign, we had to hunt down help before we were finally shown our room. Unfortunately, the room was not set up and we were left to set up all of the chairs as they were just stacked in the corner. There was limited time before guests were scheduled to arrive. We had to hustle to make sure everything was set up. This could have been avoided if they had set up the room before we arrived. All in all, the food was great and made up for the lack of hospitality. I would have given it an additional star but my overall experience lacked. Especially when we paid a pretty big penny to have our event hosted at this venue."
"A Fresno staple and classic. I am not in any way a "regular" here...I don't meet friends here, have a favorite breakfast order, or know any of the employees by first name. I don't even get the chance to stop by monthly. BUT this is definitely the type of place that has regulars, and also is worth stopping by when you want a delicious breakfast quiche, some freshly baked bread, a decadent cake for a special occasion that looks as amazing as it tastes, or any variety of pastries, mostly of the sweet persuasion, but with a few savory options thrown in. I've tried many other bakeries in town (both newer and older than this place), and for quality, price, and deliciousness, I keep finding myself coming back to this location. And, the only thing on my birthday wish list each year is a cake from La Boulangerie. Some of my family's favorites include the chocolate chip cookies, lemon bars, any of the croissants and the mini fruit tarts. I also love trying their different breads and dinner rolls. The cholla bread is fluffy, chewy, with just the right amount of sweet. And the breakfast quiches are full of goodness, and just the right amount of seasoning. While you will be very lucky to come here when there isn't already a long line, their ticket system of calling folks to the counter runs efficiently, and they are very good at getting you helped and out the door faster than you may expect. I am very grateful that the service has continued to be high quality, even after a change in ownership a while back. Please, La Boulangerie, keep up the good work. I am hopeful to stop by for many more birthdays, special occasions, and "just because" moments in the future."

"H&W Drive In is a cool local spot in Merced. This was not a drive thru fast food restaurant. But, more of a drive in (hence the name) or walk up place. Customers can either drive up to order and have the food delivered to their car. Or, can walk up to the window to place orders to eat at the tables outside or take to-go. The staff was nice. Orders came out quickly. We tried a few of their items - Tuna Sub, Bacon Cheeseburger, Patty Melt, Fries, and Onion Rings. Their fries are crinkle cut in case that matters to you. We enjoyed all of the food. They were all well made and tasty. And the portions seemed to be on the larger size. Prices were quite reasonable. We would go back again if ever in the area."
"When I was a kid, businesses painted their windows with cool decorations for various holidays which brought a smile to my face. Now it's something I rarely see. I was happy to see The Berrock Shop had their windows decorated for spring.Good selection of personal size pies here. I tried a chicken pot pie. Crust was flaky and buttery. Chicken was tender and full of flavor. I liked the gravy, carrots, and potatoes. Nice of them to give you extra gravy to dump on your pie. Soda dispenser provides soda water which was bubbly and refreshing.Apple pie had a flaky buttery crust which I loved. Apple filling had a sweet apple flavor. Very tasty pie.Staff was nice and got orders out quickly. I'll be back next time we go on a Yosemite/Kings Canyon National Park trip."
"I love all their sandwiches! Of course you have to have a side of their pasta to complement your sandwich. Been coming here for 15 years."
"The food is good. Each time we go they are out of this or that. But what we get is usually good. Not great but my son likes it. Ran by teens that were distracted and fooling around as we tried to place our order. Disappointing. The dining area always smells of sewer gases. I thought it was a one time issue but it's like that every time. We eat outside if the weather is good or just take it to go. It's actually really gross and they need to have a plumber inspect/repair their drainage lines."
"This place never disappoints. Sandwiches are always good. Ice cream options are great. Whether you eat there or get it to go, it I s never a bad choice to come here."
"Can we get this place banned or to be made illegal? It's too addictive. I love it too much and I just can't get enough of it. This place is legendary has been around for years. Has the best steak sandwiches in town my favorite go to is the pepper steak. Family ran family, friendly, great quality, product and ingredients fast. I swear they put some additive in the dressing or something because that special sauce is out of this world. Service is the best"
"Love love their food! Try their chicken Marsala pasta! Try their gyros! Best Greek food in town!"
"Despite my dislike of pickles, I was willing to overlook the name of this deli and pick up our sandwiches from here for our picnic in Sequoia. I much prefer to support local chains rather and generally prefer the quality of them too. This spot was a great choice! My turkey sandwich was loaded with meat and all the other toppings I love were fresh. I love that they offered black olives. The only thing that could have made it better was if there was a variety of mustards available. For instance, I prefer a deli or spicy mustard to plain yellow but there's at least only one option listed on the online order form."
"Service, food, and ambiance were fantastic. Quick to get our coffee and food order out. Patio was clean and had plenty of seating. Was a nice place to bring the family."
"This place is amazing. Excellent service & excellent food everytime. A must try mom & pops spot. GoooooThheeeerrreeeeee"

Very few foods these days can instantly flood my brain with child hood memories, but the Berrock Shop did that and then some. This place has popped up on my yelp feed a handful of times, and I finally decided to check it out. Walking in here is like going back to the 70s or 80s, in a good and cozy way. They make burgers, sandwiches, soups, and have tons of comfort food sides. We ordered 6-Berrocks, already baked, to go. You can get them frozen and bake them at home if you want. After a quick minute in the microwave at home, the breads yeasty smell alone brought me back to my childhood and watching my dad make these kitchen. I swear, after that first bite of the soft bun and then the flavor of the ground beef and cabbage, I could almost hear his voice. *Don't cry, get it together* I really enjoyed their classic berrocks, but their "Mexican" version, filled with taco meat, was just as delicious! Not a huge fan of the pulled pork berrock, but still tasty. I've already planned my next visit!

First I wanna give a shout out to the amazing and super sweet crew that work here. The awesome guy who chatted with me for a sec, wearing a baseball cap and a red shirt, the food was awesome! Thank you! I think he was the manager and he was the coolest! I told him it was my first time here and He made sure to check in and see how we were doing; it did not disappoint! Got the Piemonte Special just the way it is. They do have a sign that says "oil and vinegar optional" so I will definitely have to ask for some in my sando next time. The meats were so good! Great flavor, melt in your mouth with the cheese and the fresh veggies. A little Mayo and mustard spread to add additional flavor to elevate it that much more. 10/10.Jess got the Hot Meatball Sandwich. Gooey melty cheese, sauce was savory, meatballs were soft. They even had onions throughout for a nice surprise. Bread manages to hold everything in from start to finish. 10/10Place is beautiful and nostalgic. Like walking into the day they first opened. Lovely deli counter full of all kinds of meats and cheeses. Continue down to the pasta salad and dinner case. Yes they make Lasagna, Spaghetti and a few other pasta dishes as well as some of the best Macaroni Salad to pair nicely with your Sando. A wall of different pastas, sauces, chips and miscellaneous items take up the rest of the spot. Love the pictures of the crew and memories from past. It's a genuine spot. It's the real deal kind of spot. It's a beautiful place that I can't wait to come back to. Also they make Lemon Bars and Tiramisu! Both were delicious! You're walking out of here with a full meal for a great price!

Since we've had multiple appointments in Clovis, we've been stopping by this place for lunch quite a bit now. We usually go right about when they open so out order is promptly taken and our food comes out quick. I will say, the sandwiches I've ordered have been consistent (tuna and tomato mozzarella panini). If you're craving just an old fashioned sandwich with no frills this is the spot for you.

Good sandwiches, you can dine in or call in an order. It's known for the orange sherbet, and other flavors of soft serve. Just ate the tri tip with a lettuce wrap and I greedily devoured it. Got their version mint & chip soft serve and it was delicious I wasn't planning on eating it all but I did.

Full O Bull sandwich shop definitely scratches that old school deli sandwich itch. The place is very small. No dining inside with only three tables outside to sit at. You can either call in your sandwich order or just walk in. I highly suggest calling; we waited about 10+ minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. I got a cold sandwich, the California club. This thing is about the length of a mini baseball and was packed with toppings and meats. I ordered my sandwich on white bread, which was extremely soft and with all the fixin's. The "fixin's" are onion, tomato, wax peppers, lettuce, and vinegar & oil. The sandwich itself comes with turkey, ham, bacon, and cheese. This sub was delicious and it felt like I ate it Beldar Conehead style. I grabbed it, smashed it into my gullet, and swallowed. Everything here tastes so fresh. If you're looking for a classic deli sub, I can't recommend this place enough. My one and only very minor issue is that the sandwich fell apart towards the end and I needed a fork to finish. Which is not my favorite way to eat a sub.

"Absolutely the best barbecue in Clovis. The way they smoke their meats and season them are outstanding. I would recommend them for catering too."
"This place should be packed from open to close. The fact that they don't have a larger place is beyond me. When you go, don't judge the place by the looks. The food speaks for itself and it speaks wonders. The guys in there are genuine people who actually care about the food. Good job you guys."
"Old-school burger and sandwich goodness! Nothing fancy here, just a juicy, tasty burger at a reasonable price. Low qualty paper towels at the table instead of napkins. This is my kind of place."
"Absolutely! Really fast service, clean tables. Love the sweet potato fires! Yummy burger."
"Happy New Year! We had the pleasure of celebrating New Year's Eve together by dining at Bistro 234. Luckily we had made reservations because they were very busy. The atmosphere was festive with couples and larger groups dressed to celebrate the end of another year.We were seated promptly and proceeded to order pre-dinner cocktails. I then ordered the spinach salad and my husband had the meatballs as our starters. Very good! For dinner I selected the sea bass which was a special and am I glad I did! I absolutely LOVE sea bass and will almost always order it if it is available. This sea bass was served on top of a risotto with asparagus. Divine! My husband had the short ribs which he raved about. Even though we were both pretty full from our meals, we split the tiramisu for dessert which is always a treat! Our server Shawn was a delight. So friendly yet very professional and efficient. We did not have to wait long between courses which was nice. Bistro 234 is one of our favorite places to dine especially when we are celebrating a special occasion or just want a nice date night venue. We can't wait until our next visit!"
"Best bagel breakfast sandwich I have had that was not made at home. Plan to wait about 10 min or so for one, or call ahead to order...but soooo worth it! There is so many coffee choices, we had the Heavenly Jumpstart and it was delicious. Will definitely come back whenever I am in Turlock!"
"I am a sandwich lover and alays look for a locally owned deli over the chains. I'm very glad I found The Pickled Deli because this place checks all the boxes of a great sandwich. First, it takes two hands to hold the sandwich and it's filled with great ingredients perfectly balanced to produce amazing flavors. I was lucky to meet Nick, the owner, and his passion is reflected in their outstanding quality. Looking forward to trying his new Clovis location."
"4/18/24 Getting lunch and I have 2 char coupons left. Thank you Habit so much for making up for an issue and proving what a great business you are! Greeted upon entering. The worker is new and still did a great job! Kind. Ordered a veggie burger with no sauce, cheese, onions & mushrooms added and an order of onion rings. Paid for it with the last of the Char tickets and only owed $1.40! Loaded up on jalapeños at the pepper bar and got ketchup. Then waited in the pick up area until it was ready and called. Great restaurant. Safe, clean & practiced. Great music playing too! Love the pepper bar! Got some fresh jalapeños to go in the veggie burger & spice it up! Also got ketchup! Received order shortly later with a greet. Lunchtime! My veggie burger was Really DELICIOUS! WOW! Adding the jalapeños, mushrooms and onions made it even better! It's possible! More flavorful! Onion rings with ketchup were Great too! Nice crunch! Leftovers too! That veggie burger is HUGE! Good service and Really GREAT lunch!!Highly recommended!"
"Love it! I ordered their original hot chicken sandwich with a tender, and my partner ordered just the original hot chicken sandwich. They both come with fries. Value-wise, adding a tender is definitely worth it.Flavor-wise, the sandwich looks better than any you can get from a fast food chain, and it was incredibly moist. I had a medium spice level, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was awesome; however, some of the dine-in booth tables were a bit greasy. It would be nice if they cleaned up every time after a customer used them."
"The first thing you'll notice when you walk in to MOTO is the amazing smells...like an old Italian deli full of cured meats, cheeses, etc. The menu consists mainly of salads, pinsarellas (Roman flatbread) and sandwiches. The farro salad is a standout with fresh crisp veggies, farro and burrata tossed with a light lemon vinaigrette. Delicious...and perfect in this summer heat! The salad alone is enough to warrant a return. The flatbreads we tried were also yummy. They also serve up an amazing looking charcuterie. Top it all off with a spritz or a glass of wine, or a local beer.Service was outstanding! Welcoming and friendly but very professional. I loved the feel of this place....a true neighborhood gem with people in families, couples out for date night, small groups of friends, and lots of regulars coming in and out for their to gos.Love this place!"
"The bread is stellar! Clam chowder is delightful and classic. Turkey cranberry sandwich was just ok, could have used more cranberry but enjoyed the roasted turkey. Only one restroom. Told the lady who took our order it was our first visit, she wasn't helpful in introducing us to the product or even a welcome in . It's pretty good kinda pricey but I think worth it for the bread"
"This may sound weird, but hear me out - Their Fish & Chips here in Fresno, CA are better than what my husband and I have had from other restaurants in the Santa Cruz area as well as different coastal cities along the Pacific Northwest. I know, I know, that doesn't sound right, and we were shocked too, but it's the honest truth! We just spent the last month in various coastal cities along CA, OR & WA and always try out the fish & chips along the way. We were surprisingly disappointed however, every time. They just did not compare to what we usually get from our own California Fish Grill here at home. We eat there at least once a month and the food has always been delish. We often get the Fish & Chips platters and sub out the koleslaw with the Tomato & Feta side and it's just so yum! The fish is perfect and the breading as well. We keep going back and highly recommend if you're looking for some great Fish & Chips"
"You've heard the expression Movie and Dinner, Well the movie was 3/5 but the sandwich was 5/5. We ordered the Jim Rome ( Turkey Avocado Red Pesto Cheddar and lettuce )on the delicious Dutch Crunch Roll. I took one star away because of the $15 price because when we waited in line at their Flag Store for half an hour many years ago I remember only paying $8 but the good news there's no line which is surprisingly that the Fresno State students don't pack this place."
"Food: Great burgers and Steak Fries!!!Service: Very Good!! Come enough times and they call you by your first name.Ambiance: Reminds me of Happy DaysBeen going to the Blackstone and Herndon one for years,"
"Pretty good food! Service was okay, could be better, but it's a purchase than sit kind of place, so guess you can't expect a whole lot. We arrived in the late afternoon on a Sunday, not too much going on, a few people at tables, but they took our order right away, and we had no issue finding a place to sit. The food was delicious. We each ordered the Choose 2. I ordered the chicken rosa pasta and the chicken pomodori panini, with a side caesar salad. The caesar salad was average, reminded me of bagged caesar salad, except for the croutons, those were house made and yummy. Both the panini and the pasta had very similar flavors for sure, kind of a tomato, basil, pesto, spinach thing going on. Which was fine for me, but if you're looking for variety don't order these two together! My friend got a cup of tomato soup, and the choose 2 with the chicken pesto sandwich and the pesto cavatappi. She said both were delicious too. She had the dragon fruit tea and did not care for it though. I've had breakfast BBLT & Egg sandwich before and it is so good (worth adding avocado too.) Both in house and on Door dash. Very much a "panera" type place and for being something I could get good food to go, for the same price as a fast food restaurant, It's pretty good to me. Oh! my other complaint, besides service, was the to go containers felt so flimsy."
"Enjoyed my breakfast here at Granny's Country Cafe. The service was not very attentive but the delicious food made up for it. I loved the creaminess of thier gravy and the biscuits were flaky and wonderful. They also had a great verity of other breakfast and diner type items on the menu. I plan to visit again soon."
"We've been here several times now and it never disappoints. The employees are always kind and make good pizzas. My hubby loves the Boston special and I like their wings. The Boston special is their play on a combo. It comes with yummy bell peppers onions and different types of meat. Their crust is perfect for my hubby because it's not too crispy and has a nice thickness. All the toppings are always fresh. Their wings are nice and crispy with sauce on the side. It's definitely our go to spot when in the area"
"Fantastic food and beverages! I had the chicken and avocado crepe plus the lavender Lamarca cocktail. The crepe comes with a blue cheese sauce which sounds odd paired with chicken and avocado but I can promise that together it all works somehow, if you like blue cheese already. Loved it and my cocktail! My friend had the avocado toast with balsamic glaze added and it also looked delicious. Service from our waitress was excellent as well."
"I love all of the healthy choices at Urbane Cafe! My favorite dish is the salmon bowl, but they also offer other options, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups. The cilantro torta and southwest are two of my sandwich go-to's. My son loves their cookies and flavored lemonades. The kids' menu has plenty of great options that kids will actually eat!The staff at this location is amazing. They are always very friendly and helpful."
"I tried the Bobbie for the first time last fall and it was so good. I was hesitant, but now I crave it sometimes. I like to order online and I'm able to pick it up fairly quickly. Definitely one of the top sandwich shops in my opinion."
"Burger Shack is just a solid spot for old fashioned thin, tasty, fresh burgers. I always choose the double (even though I can't eat it all) because it's all about the ratio for me. I love the pastrami burger (like a LOT) but my go-to is my "Texan Style" dbl with jalapeños, all the way, mustard only, well done to get a crispy outside - they're never dry, by the way, Burger Shack has that on lock. It hits all the right tangy, spicy cheesy notes, every time. (They're "the good jalapeños," by the way, that just-right ballpark nacho type.)Their shakes are great if you're being extra extravagant, and even though the fried mushrooms and fried zucchini are sysco or equivalent, they're so tasty with the excellent ranch that they're hard to pass up!"
"Not only do they make an amazing sandwich, but they have Dutch crunch bread! This place is located directly across the street from Fresno State and luckily I got here just as the lunch rush was starting around 11am. I went with a cold Italian sandwich for lunch and an order of beer batters fries. This sandwich comes with pastrami, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese. I got it with the works; onions, peppers, lettuce, oil vinegar, the whole 9 yards. You can tell they put care into their products because everything on this sandwich tasted super fresh. I went with the 8-inch and probably would've been fine with the 6-inch since I also ordered a side of fries. The portions here do not disappoint. We all know it really makes a sandwich is the bread and their Dutch crunch bread was fantastic. Also called Tiger Bread, the spread is super soft on the inside with a nice crunchy top. They make it by brushing a paste of rice flour, sugar, water, and yeast over the bread partway through rising process in the oven. If you see this on the menu anywhere, order it, trust me it's a flavor and textural explosion. You can dine in, get your order to go, or order through their website for delivery or curbside. The inside is pretty basic with a few tables and a small TV in the corner. Perfect if you're looking to get off your feet and fill your tummy. Parking is tight and like I said, I got here right before the lunch rush which had the line almost going out the door. Snack smart Central Valley Yelpers!"
"The Mushroom portabella burger 5/5 stars!Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Bummer that they don't have a drive-thru!"
