"Pizza & Beer is a brilliant combination we have all enjoyed for years. Planning Mill Pizza is truly one of the best in town. We chose this venue to host a family celebration. They have two party rooms to pick from, one larger than the other. I was disappointed with the responsiveness of the representative in charge of securing the room. It did cause unwanted stress when trying to ensure everything was in order and ready to go. The day of the event arrived, there was no one to greet us or show us to the party room. This was not a good sign, we had to hunt down help before we were finally shown our room. Unfortunately, the room was not set up and we were left to set up all of the chairs as they were just stacked in the corner. There was limited time before guests were scheduled to arrive. We had to hustle to make sure everything was set up. This could have been avoided if they had set up the room before we arrived. All in all, the food was great and made up for the lack of hospitality. I would have given it an additional star but my overall experience lacked. Especially when we paid a pretty big penny to have our event hosted at this venue."

I asked the chef to make a gorgonzola sauce I remembered from years back, and it was every bit as good as I remembered! I hope they add it back to the menu, it's so great. There is a lovely bar area as well, in case you need to wait for a table. Thanks again, Andiamo!"

"I go to lunch with a buddy of mine, once a week, since we both retired in May 2023. We've been to many places in over a year and a half now. His favorite place to go is The Sizzler, lol, and it's actually fairly good, but the steaks are totally hit-and-miss, usually miss.So, I told him the day before we went to lunch, a few weeks back, that I wanted to try BJ's. When I picked him up, he thought I meant BJ's Kountry Kitchen, and he was ready for a cheap, mediocre breakfast. I told him, NO, "we're going to the REAL BJ's", not the roach infested diner dive! We got to BJ's just after 11:00 AM, and they were preparing tables for a pretty large company Christmas party, but seated us quickly. The menu was very impressive, and large. Things got off to a great start, right away, when the waitress asked what we'd like to drink. My friend got his usual, boring, water. I asked her if they served Coca-Cola or Pepsi products. Her answer was perfect, and the correct answer. PEPSI! If it had been Coke, I would've opted for an iced tea. I can't stand Coca-Cola or Sprite. ICK!!! So, I got an ice-cold Pepsi-Cola. My buddy ordered an inexpensive dish, a clam chowder bread bowl. I wanted a great meal, so I got a steak and peppered chicken breast meal, with steamed broccoli, and a bowl of mashed potatoes, with cheese and bacon. The steak was very good, certainly better than the steaks you have to chew each bite at least 100 times to swallow it at Sizzler! The Peppered Chicken was incredibly good, the broccoli was also excellent. However, the greatest part was the mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon. OMG, it was absolutely incredible! Easily the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten, and a very generous sized bowl. I was extremely satisfied after we left, and I told my friend, that I want to go back soon, and we are going tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan 14th. I am very much looking forward to it. There are a lot of excellent restaurants in this location. Fleming's, The Cheesecake Factory, and BJ's. BJ's is the best of the three, especially since I can enjoy a sparkling, ice-cold, delicious, Pepsi-Cola with my meal! Oh yeah, great ambiance also."

"One bite... everyone knows the rules! This was my first time here and I love these little hole-in-the wall restaurants and Clovis has a ton of them. We decided to dine-in and order two pizzas, one kid friendly pie with cheese and pep and one supreme. The pizzas both had great flavor, but they could've sat in the oven just a bit longer to make sure the middle crust was a crispier. I loved all the fresh toppings on our supreme pizza. You could easily see these were hand chopped and prepared that day. We had a ton of pizza left over and this is definitely the kind of pizza that tastes even better the next day; cold right out of the fridge.My wife and I split a pitcher of beer and were able to take advantage of their happy hour prices. A happy hour pitcher is cheaper than just buying two 16oz beers. The service here is delightful and very speedy. Considering how busy they were, no one waited very long for their to go orders or to get their pizza delivered to their table.There's only a handful of tables inside with a few tables outside. Most people were picking up their orders to-go. There's only one tv here and it was off while we were here; so I don't know if this is the right place to come to snack on a slice and enjoy the game.We will definitely be back. I'm mean who doesn't love having their local pizza parlor be less than a five minute drive away?!"

"This place is really pretty chilled. My cousin and I just found a new drink there think it's the BCs margarita pretty yummy & different since I only drink wine sake or champagne. "Im a first time customer and came in shortly after opening on a Thursday. The place gives a comfortable home type feel. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with a side of mash potatoes. The sandwich was good quality although it was lacking a flavor or some sort, I couldn't put my finger on it. (Maybe more aioli? Seasoning on the chicken? A good addition would be bacon, I don't know if they have it though!) The mash and gravy were great. I also ordered a hot caramel macchiato which was great! I originally went in for the old school red steer french dip which I haven't had in years but changed my mind last minute! The cashier was friendly and the woman that brought my food out had a pleasant smile and looked happy to be at work. I'll definitely try this place again!"

"Who knew Indian food and pizza would be an amazing combination! We ordered a large pizza ($28) with half butter chicken and half tikka masala. The Curry Pizza Company definitely does not skimp out on meat, as you can see with the mountains of chicken on our pizza. We opted to eat inside since there are plenty of booths and tables at the restaurant. Each table is stocked with squeeze-y bottles of ranch which really elevates the flavors. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone who loves Indian flavors or who may want an introduction to Indian food!"

"A staple in the Tower District for four decades, Richie's Pizza & Hot Dogs is the go-to spot for locals craving New York-style thin crust. Pizzas can be ordered by the slice or as a whole. A slice is more like two huge slices. A slice of pepperoni remains $6.45, so you get your money's worth. A whole pepperoni pizza is $25.75. I tried a slice of the combo, $7.75 - pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives - had most of the components of a good New York thin crust: an easily foldable crust that had a good balance of chewiness and crispiness, fresh toppings, well-seasoned meats, and generously layered with mozzarella cheese. The tomato sauce lacked the distinct zest and freshness I am particularly fond of (from some of my favorite New York-style pizza parlors in New York, San Francisco, and throughout Southern California where I moved from).The other classic, affordable, on-the-go dish is, of course, their hot dogs. They make them with all-beef franks and serve them up New York-style, Chicago-style, their specialty the Richie Chili Dog, and the Fresno Dog. There is even a Pizza Dog, prepared with spicy beef sausage, homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and onions. It is not a true hot dog stand if they do not have fresh sauerkraut and both yellow and spicy mustard, along with relish and diced onions. Richie's has it all.Richie's is a popular choice for a quick, inexpensive, grab-and-go meal or if you are in the Tower District and want to sit down and enjoy a pizza slice or hot dog with an ice-cold beer or soda. "Attended a baby shower here in August. Because we had a party of 20+ that we reserved months ago, we were put on the patio. The weather was brutal as Fresno summer weather is. I am no longer used to this weather now that I moved by the coast. They had a few misters but they didn't do much to help keep cool. One friend had to leave because she started to feel nauseous and got a headache. The food was good! It was a set menu of Steak salad, Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti and Meatballs. They also served fresh warm bread and a dinner salad. They did not charge us a cake cutting fee. The wait staff made sure our water glasses and drinks were refilled. I personally would not book the patio for a summer event. It's just too hot. But we had a great time and ate well."

"We stopped in for dinner on a hot night. We were quickly seated in the cool, dim dining room. The place was reasonably busy, clean and welcoming. This is where I point out that I o8ve life with a service dog and this place gets 4 paws up. No access issues, the tables have plenty of room under them and the floors are clean. Our server Sarah greeted us and took our drink orders while we perused the menu. My brother has been bragging about the tri color tortellini so, I had to try it and the Mr. Is always on the lookout for the best calazone. Our bread came out and surprise! The butter wasn't frozen rock hard!! Awesome! The bread was nice while we waited for our salads. They came out and were quite significant foe being sides. Very nice. We like that there aren't a lot of extra toppings.. just lettuce and some croutons. We both got ranch dressing and they have the good stuff. My only issue with tye salad is that some of the pieces are quite large. But nothing my knife can't handle. The food came out after a short wait. The calazone was enrobed with a nice thick meat sauce. The Mr was overjoyed because he hates dry anything Italian lol. My pasta held all the promise of rich decadence. And boy did it deliver. It was rich and balanced. I had to pack up some to bring home for tomorrow's lunch. On the whole, the food was amazing, the ambiance relaxing and the service top notch. We will def be back!"

They have about 20+ beers on tap, along with some wine and seltzer options.Their cool concept involves giving you a card that you can scan at each handle to select your pour size, from a small taster to a full glass. At the end of your meal, you return the card, and it calculates how much you've poured. There are plenty of clean glasses, so you can grab a new one when you're ready to try a new brew.You might not find the best hazy IPAs in town, but the variety is fantastic, especially if you're with a group and want to cater to everyone's tastes. Hanging from the ceiling were train tracks. Nice waitress asked if we wanted to watch the trains run? We did. When I was a kid one year I got a train set and I ran the train around our Christmas tree. We enjoyed watching the trains while waiting for our food.Dinner roll was fluffy and I liked the mild flavor.Beef barley soup featured tender flavorful beef. I rarely eat beef barley soup but this one was delicious and I would order it again.Onion rings had a crunchy batter and had lots of onion flavor. Standard fast food type onion ring.Honey fried chicken featured crunchy batter with honey drizzled on top. Chicken was tender and juicy. Loved the salty and sweet flavors. One of my favorite fried chicken dishes.Service was great from the friendly and efficient staff. I'm looking forward to more delicious fried chicken and beef barley soup on our next trip to Kings Canyon. Hope the trains will be running again. Red Caboose Cafe is one of the coolest cafes I've ever visited."

"I work in downtown and have passed by GG's Food Factory countless times but never stopped in--until recently. I'm so glad I finally gave it a try! I ordered the chicken fattoush salad, and it was outstanding. The flavors were spot on, but what really impressed me was the quality of the chicken. It was tender, perfectly seasoned, and honestly better than what I've had at a similar restaurant nearby. The freshness of the ingredients really made a difference. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is because it took a while to get help at the front desk. The desk was empty and my guess is that they were helping in the kitchen. I only get a 30 minute lunch as many of other people that work in downtown, so every minute counts! Next time I'll order over the phone. However, I'll definitely be coming back to GG's for lunch again to try other items in the menu."
