"We decided to have the lunch sandwiches for our department holiday lunch and they were very accommodating; very easy to walk up and place the order (unless you are using their catering you have to order at the window, you can't call in the order), the young man at the front was very helpful and patient with our order of 11 sandwiches plus sides. And everything came out very quick!! Food was great; very full sandwiches which everyone was pleased with. I plan on taking my husband here because I think he will enjoy this place."
"We have come here for years to the actual Market (store) portion inside the building for our family. Fresh meats, veggies, delish sides, breads, crackers, cheeses...and they have a nice variety of specialty items too! Perfect for making platters/charcuterie boards for parties, or just meals for the family. We love grabbing sandwiches at the grill outside, and with this visit, our also family stopped by for some quick and tasty goodies! Kids loved the corn dogs, fries, and pilaf. I enjoy so many items such as their pasta salad and their grilled veggies you can add to sandwiches. There is seating outside or you can take things to go. Honestly, this visit was cheaper than a traditional fast food stop, and it made the kids super happy. Quality makes a difference. Fries were fire!!!Everyone is always super friendly and helpful for both the inside market area, as well as the outside grill area too! We went inside and the kids got to reach in and pick out their favorite character ice creams to purchase, & enjoy with their lunch!Tip: If you want amazing chicken kebab, already skewered up to grill at home, this place is a must! They use the best marinade, and have for years. They sell a variety of meats to cook at home, and you can also buy a tri-tip already cooked too!Soooo many reasons to go back again soon, and we will!"
"I probably wouldn't come here again. It wasn't horrible but it isn't a place I would tell others about (other than Yelp). My first complaint would be that I had to eat my tacos in my car and stink it up of onions because there is not one place to sit down. I would've walked right out after noticing that, but I didn't want to be rude plus I wasn't all that hungry so 2 tacos was plenty. My two consisted of Al Pastor and Chile Verde. They both looked really good, but weren't all that great. They were just another average taco in a town where 4 taco places are within blocks of each other. The tortilla was handmade which gets soggy right away especially when it's to go and the steam from the foil makes it worse! Eeeek Call me weird but I like simple machine made yellow corn tortillas for my tacos. Lady helping me was nice until she asked why I was taking a bunch of pics. She was a little rude until I told her they were for Yelp which I explained was a review service site for the people from the people. She made me nervous and kind of made me feel like I just got yelled at by my mom :/ Anyway they have a mini meat section and a few produce items as well as pastries and drinks around this store/taco joint. I didn't try anything but the tacos."
"My husband and I has been eyeing this place. We decided to do a small bbq for dinner today and stopped in to buy to meat. We didn't know what to expect we saw them on IG and was just so exited to see what they had to offer. As we entered we waited about a minute for someone to who came out to greet us. The gentleman was very kind and knowledgeable. Since it was our first time he took the time to explain their products. They offered marinated meat. Chicken thighs, wings, boneless chicken, goat, lamb, shrimp, skewers etc... they marinate their meat in Indian spices such as tandoori, nawabi, masala, peri peri etc... they also provide the spice level on the label tags which ranges from mild to spicy. We were informed that they also sell the meats non marinated and they can also bbq the meat for us. My husband and I ordered 1lb of boneless tandoori thighs, 1lbs of boneless lemon masala thighs, a lb of lemon masala wings, 2 lamb skewers and one whole desi chicken. My husband bbq'd alittle bit of everything we bought and everything was delicious. The meats looked and tasted fresh and the flavors were on point. We definitely enjoyed it. Highly recommend and we will return!"

Tri tip is good. The chili beans are okay. Coleslaw and beans are both very expensive if bought as sides. Service is greatly missing. Needs a serious retraining session. Lots of places to spend my money to put up with the rudeness.

Can I do a 3.5? We've been coming to the Meat Market for many years. Being back in town we had to stop by and get a trip tip sandwich and fries. We were promptly greeted. We ordered the tri tip combo ( sandwich, fries and a drink)The fries were hot and seasoned, the sandwich was just ok, kind of lack luster. It seems the quality of beef has maybe changed??? The drink was refreshing. We always enjoy a stroll through the market with many local items to purchase that you can't find in to many other places, from seasonings, produce, wines, milk, products and so much more. We always pick up items to take back home with us to Idaho. We still love this place. We will definitely be back.

I stopped in here one afternoon, because a) I was hungry and B) I knew they had Indian seasoned meat both as a meat market, but also grilled. Win/win. So I came by to get a feeling for the place and to taste their food. It's organized like a butcher shop with large, refrigerated cases, and the meat displayed in it. They primarily focus on marinated chicken, but they also sell Indian flavored shrimp, lamb, chops, lamb, steak, lamb skewers, and paneer, a type of Indian cheese. For chicken, they sell raw chicken breast, boneless thighs, and legs and thighs all at different price points. You could buy your marinated chicken, raw and grill it at home. Alternatively, you can buy already made up skewers of meats I think with vegetables. What I was hankering for was a chicken bowl. The chicken bowls include rice, grilled red, green bell peppers, and onions. The meats are grilled kebab, style or skewers, and then placed on a bed of basmati rice. It's not a bowl as it comes in a box. I ordered my chicken bowl and requested boneless thigh because I knew that would be the juiciest one and I didn't want to deal with the bones. They indicated it would be 10 or 15 minutes because they have to cook it. It cooks right there. They indicated also and the staff were very nice and gracious the gentleman serving me, that many people simply call in their order ahead and then come by and pick it up. The store is organized as a meat shop and the one on Kings Canyon is in an L shape. Towards the back of the store, they have a number of grocery items such as Indian foods like large bags of chickpeas, rice, and many spices and spice mixes that you can choose from to purchase. I spent my time waiting shopping and looking at all of their goods and wares. They have quite an array. They have many different flavors of the marinated meats. These include: tandoori, lemon masala, jalapeño, Peri Peri, spicy tandoori, and their own blend, which is the spiciest called Nawabii. I had never heard of the Nawabii and asked about it which they indicated was quite hot, so of course I had to try it just because I've never had it before and I tend to be experimental. ***Note***not all meats come with every flavor. For example, chicken breast raw comes in three flavors: tandoori, lemon marsala, and jalapeño. Boneless thighs come in four flavors. The bone-in legs and thighs come in all six flavors. The skewers such as the lamb skewer only comes in Peri Peri, the lamb steak comes in two marinated flavors, the shrimp skewers come in tandoori, and Nawabi. If you order a bowl, which I did in the boneless thigh, which I did, you can actually choose two different flavors so I ordered the lemon marsala and the Nawabi. They were absolutely out of this world! I'm glad I ordered two different flavors so that I could try them both. The Nawabi was very spicy, and it was pretty much at the end of my limit for spiciness that I can tolerate, but boy was it delicious. I really love flavor impact, and these meats absolutely did not disappoint. Also, for a price point, the chicken bowl is really very affordable you get so much food, but it's almost enough for two meals. However, since I was a greedy girl that day, and had an eaten lunch and was having an early supper, most of my meal was consumed.Thankfully, Meat Bazaar has a place in South East, Fresno which is quite convenient for me and also North West Fresno. and now that I've written this, I might have to give them a go for lunch...

CHICKEN !I went to a housewarming / super bowl party over the weekend and they had tons of food and liquor options available for their guest (food trucks, home-cooked food, bunch of snack and treats). But one thing stuck out in particular. The chicken form the meat bazaar was amazing. It was marinated perfectly and when I asked my friend Kjay he told me they actually brought it up from Fresno, CA. I was shocked that somebody actually brought some from there but it was definitely worth it. I might have to make a trip to Fresno for this chicken. If you are in the area you must stop by or if you make a trip then grab a bunch!

I've come here a few times before and always gotten the standard carne asada burrito. They're really good, but today I was in the mood to try a breakfast burrito de jamón (of ham). I was not disappointed. The ham was mixed with eggs and included cheese, rice, and beans. I could've done without the rice, but it was still good nonetheless. Now I have a go to spot for breakfast burritos. Next time I'll try the bacon or chorizo!

Only 4 reviews?! This place deserves some yelp love. Im only reviewing the in house taqueria and only the carne asada burrito or taco. What can I say, i love carne asada! Ive had the tri tip bbq sandwich and it was good, but you already forgot, i love carne asada!! My only complaint is the one time i went there and the carne asada was too salty. I knew it was a fluke and have been back plenty of times since with no complaints. Oh, the lady is super stingy about the amount of salsa she gives you. One small cup per burrito which is probably equivalent to two packets at taco bell. I ask for more and she gives me one more cup but not without giving me the stink eye! I could take a shot of salsa per bite if they gave me enough sauce.

"I've ALWAYS wanted to try and bbq my own Indian meat... Now I finally can. This place has all the best Indian marinaded meats ready to take home and cook. From what i hear making these marinades from scratch is no joke cuz they have so many ingredients."
"I really like this place for the hot food they cook up. There is a small clean meat market, small produce area and other market goods like drinks, snacks and pan dulce ( sweet breads ). You can dine in, order at the open kitchen and pay at the cashier before or after you eat. The employees have been very nice and the store is always clean. The food though - great food all around. My favorite are the tortas - the super it's HUGE. The other dishes I would recommend are the breakfast burritos and regular burritos and the huevos rancheros plate that comes with both red and green chilli and tortillas. When you drive by this place at around 5am it's packed.Real People Real Reviews, JC.."
"Coworkers and I were trying to decide what to eat since it was 3 of us working Easter Sunday, Place was clean and all food "looked" delicious. CoWorker who got the half chicken plate gave it a 4 stars it did smell and look delicious.Myself and other coworker gave our plates a solid 3 Tri Tip combo she gave them a 3 because she found a hair in her sandwich, but she is willing to give them another shot ordering something else.I gave a 3 because my tacos lacked flavor and asada fries meat was good but fries and no seasoning"
