"This place is a little grocery store combined with a little restaurant and bakery inside. Parking space is plenty as it's in a little complex. It looked like they had a lot of desserts to offer. But I was there for my main favorite which is butter chicken. I ordered it for takeout and waited 15 to 20 minutes. The lady who helped me was friendly. The butter chicken wasn't the best, but it was doable. If you're a big fan of butter chicken like me then I would recommend going elsewhere for it such as Tandoori Grill that is a few blocks down on Peach and Cesar Chavez."
"I have been wanting to go here forever but have been intimidated to go in. It's an Indian market that I walk by all the time and the smell is always great. I doordashed an order for lunch and let me say, I waited too long. I got the butter chicken, it's creamy and flavorful, the chicken is tender, and it's up there for my favorite butter chicken. I got something I have never gotten, chicken biriyani. This is also excellent, its a rice dish with chicken, it has tons of flavor and a fair bit of spice (for me). Got me sweating but its really good. Lastly got the garlic naan and it is probably the best naan I have ever had, it is so pillowy and taste amazing. Support this store."

"Been coming to this specific location at least every 2-3 months for the last 3 years. Beyond impressive how consistent their food is I've never had to take a plate back because it was the wrong order or not good. Go to is the butter chicken, shae paneer, peas pealof, and or course the garlic naan"
"I've enjoyed regular lunches here for some time...always friendly fast service, great food selections, and sitting outside on nice days with a small dining area inside next to intriguing groceries I've never tasted. For a small place, with lots of choices, like entering a different world for a brief respite (for me at least!) with lots of Indian customers, always a good recommendation for an ethnic place."
"We came here for lunch the other day and it was excellent. The service was friendly and quick. The food was all delicious. The naan was soft and had a nice chew. The chicken and lamb were terrific and both gravy's had amazing flavor. If you are looking for good Indian in Fresno area give Aadar a try!"
"My oldest and I stopped in to try the weekend buffet for $17.99 . This inside is nice and buffet area was clean. Everyone was so nice and asked if we had any questions about the dishes. The buffet included a hot tea, plain naan , and some ice cream as well. There was a great selection of, four meat options and 3 vegetarian options. They had samosas, rice, salad and gulab jamun. The naan was nice and thin but not too thin. The butter chicken was delicious but my favorite was this chili chicken ! My oldest enjoyed everything and definitely wants to go back. I wish next time they have an aloo gobi which is my favorite. The only complaint I think I had was the samosas needed a little bit of spice(spicy) and the tandoori chicken was a bit dry and over cooked but maybe it was the piece I picked."
"We wanted to try another Middle Eastern restaurant. We chose Moga mandi. We ordered through Door Dash. The food was outstanding. We loved it. I felt like it was a home cooked East Indian meal. We ordered the Non-veg Thali. It came with balsamic rice, two different sauces, dal. We chose the Chicken Tikka and the Shahi Paneer dish. Both were excellent. To accompany our meal we ordered garlic naan. Everything was great! I appreciated that the food was not as spicy hot at other similar restaurants. You were able to taste the rich sauces and spices used in each selection. This generous meal was $12.99. A great price. We want to order again soon. This is a real gem of a restaurant. Try it as soon as you can. It's wonderful!"
"Very fresh food lots of choices the food is made to order they also have a section for sweets I was surprised how many selections of fresh fruits and vegetables"
"There are quite a few Indian restaurants in the area, heard about this place through a coworker. Decided to give a try and sure enough, it was pretty good. Took the recommendation of ordering butter chicken, shahi paneer, garlic naan, and tikki masala. I decided to try their roti chicken as well. Garlic naan was better than other restaurant I have tried. Out of all the dishes we ordered, the shahi paneer and butter chicken stood out. I think all are good with the garlic naan but the shahi paneer stood out more. The chicken was okay but not the best. Service was mediocre. It looks like they do buffet as well so might give a try another day. Overall glad to found a place that's pretty consistent with their food."
"My family and I were really impressed with the quality and taste of the food! We got the All Meat pizza and the bbq bone-in wings. We are curious about their other menu items and are planning on returning to order next weekend as well."
"I live in Sanger. So when I saw Punjabi Naan come in over a year ago, I was excited to try it. It's located conveniently in a gas station. Clean place and very nice customer service. I've been here a few times with my husband to pick up food. Our favorites are the Punjabi chicken and the goat curry (only on Wednesdays). I enjoy their veggie samosas too. Good amount of serving. Very surprised to have a good Indian cuisine in a gas station but Sanger needs it!!! Thank you for cooking such good food"
"I have eaten here many many times and not sure why I didn't review this place on yelp. When it comes to food I'm very particular and hard to please. This place has always met my expectation and done a fantastic job! 1) 99% this is the cleanest, well organized true vegetarian/vegan restaurant/grocery store you will find in Fresno.2) It's in a bit odd location, which is not a big deal.3) Their samosa, Cholay, chutney are best in comparison to other Indian places in Fresno.4) Must try Chole Bhature order. authenticity of the home-cooked meal along with well-balanced spices and herbs.5) Both partners Mr. Singhs are good people, If you have a complaint they work with you to rectify the issue. Thanks, Apna Bazar for providing good service. I hope you can keep up the same recipes and not make any changes to them."

This was a little food court inside an Indian store/bakery. There's still construction occurring inside as it seems the store is in transition. The food was good but a tad salty for my liking. We ordered plain samosas (very good), chicken curry (salty but somewhat flavorful) chicken tikka ( ok flavor) and garlic naan ( seems from frozen). The prices on the board were not updated so expect for higher prices, the non-veg items are about $15 for a small bowl. The store does have a decent amount of spices and unique food items.

11/18/24 Getting lunch! I called and ordered Chicken Biryani made spicy, 2 Roti and 2 Samosas. At first the worker had a bit of trouble understanding English and a guy got on that understood it well. After ordering, he said it would be ready in 40 minutes. Very kind. I went to get it shortly later! It's in an Indian Grocery store. Indian music playing. I had to go to the back to try to find someone and he told me the order was almost ready. I was running late too. At least they are making it fresh! Paid for the order and left. They have a little kitchen in the back. Only to-go orders. No seating inside. Lunchtime! Order split.Chicken Biryani was spicy & Really DELICIOUS! Flavorful! It's a good amount! I have leftovers. Samosa was Great too! Even better with the sauces! Roti was fresh & tasty! Mother said hers was Really great and had "just the Right spice!"Good service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!

Best meal I've ever had...went there for lunch with my colleagues. They order very hot/spicey food so they got what they wanted. I on the other hand went for the Chicken Tikka Masala, just amazing. The garlic Naan bread was very soft and delicious. The atmosphere was clean and classy. Truly unexpected. Definitely worth the time for you to visit this gem of a place.

Samosas, Chicken Tikki Marsala made spicy, garlic Naan and Basmati rice ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went in to get it. Nice little restaurant. It's also a little grocery store. Indian music playing. They have a little buffet set up for lunch. I went up to the register and told the worker. The order was ready. He was kind. Placed on the front table. Paid for the order. Safe, clean and practiced. Lunchtime! I got everything ready and split up per usual. There was a problem. They didn't include the Basmati rice mother wanted. She was not happy and called. The worker was kind and apologized. Looks like they were having trouble keeping up with all the orders and there was no charge. Thankfully! The Samosa was really good! Even better with the green, spicy sauce.Chicken Tikki was really good! A little messy and there wasn't much chicken, but the sauce was spicy and tasty! Garlic Naan was really good too! Mother said her lunch was good. She liked the samosa and liked the spice. She thought there should be more chicken too.Good service and good food. Hope it will get better to coordinate orders right.

Naan was delicious. Food was good. Unfortunately service could have been better. They seem sort of new? so I will give them a chance to improve. The way they asked my friend if she wanted garlic naan after she stated what entree she wanted, she did not know it was an extra charge. Neither did they inform us of the extra charge when they asked if we wanted butter on the naan. The young man who also was checking in on us checked in a little too aggressively. I don't think he meant to, maybe it was because we were the only ones there and there was nothing else for him to do, but after the third check-in I started feeling like he wanted us to hurry and get out of there. Once or twice like "can I get anyone more water?" Would have been enough.I'm torn about how many stars to give this review. Food was great. Service could have been better. 3.5

We went here for our Sons 18th birthday today, this place is amazing! The taste of the food was so authentic, fresh, and tasty!! I've eaten and other places with similar cuisine and this place beats them all, Niveen was our server and his customer service was really good! The prices are super fair considering the high end Punjab food that is served and the effort that is put into making the food. We will be back for sure! Thank you so much for making our son's 18th birthday special! Oh and our server and manager/owner sang along Happy Birthday with us!

"Indian food has been on my bucket list for a while, and I finally got the chance to check off another spot! My friends and I decided to try this place, and let me just say, it did not disappoint.First off, the star of the night? Our waitress! She was hilarious, full of energy, and kept the vibe super fun throughout the evening. Attentive without being overbearing, she checked in on us often, making sure everything was perfect. Now, yes, the food took a bit longer than usual to arrive, but honestly, it wasn't a dealbreaker. We were having a good time, and it was worth the wait. The food itself? Delicious! While I'm still a newbie to Indian cuisine, I've tried a few places, and compared to those, this one is a little more on the "pay-per-item" side since it's a la carte. For four of us, the total came to about $150, which got us two orders of samosas, two orders of rice, three types of naan, four entrees, three alcoholic drinks, and a soda. The tandoori was the standout in terms of portions--it had plenty of meat, while some of the other entrees left us wanting just a little more. But in terms of flavor and quality? Spot on. Every bite was packed with the kind of bold, rich flavors you hope for in Indian food. The pricing is fair for the quality you get, though I'd love to see just a bit more in the portion department for certain dishes. All in all, this place is a must-try for anyone looking to spice up their night with great food, great company, and an even better vibe. I'll definitely be back!"
"Who knew Indian food and pizza would be an amazing combination! We ordered a large pizza ($28) with half butter chicken and half tikka masala. The Curry Pizza Company definitely does not skimp out on meat, as you can see with the mountains of chicken on our pizza. We opted to eat inside since there are plenty of booths and tables at the restaurant. Each table is stocked with squeeze-y bottles of ranch which really elevates the flavors. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone who loves Indian flavors or who may want an introduction to Indian food!"
"This Indian Food Express place is a mess they are very rude and no help to understand the menu item. My experience started bad when i kept seeing people coming in n out the food truck shaking hands and not properly sanitizing themselves after. My experience continued after I was done paying with card I ask for my recipe and the guy nervously with a smirk said No. After asking twice for my recipe he finally gave me one. I waited 25 minutes to get my food just to come back to my car and see that my order was incomplete there were a few item missing. They promised me my food came with rice and it didn't, my samosas were also missing they were just laying around getting cold. I will not be going to Indian Food Express again"
"If you like or love Indian Food, then this is the place to go.....if you're close by of course. I've been watching this place ever since it joined the "hot & new" section on Yelp and was eagerly excited to try it. One Sunday after church I suggested this place to my doppelgänger because we were indecisive and she agreed to give it a go. I'm so glad we did. The eatery is located inside an Indian Grocery Store next to a Liquor Store down the street from Dollar General. Signs will lead the way.Upon entering, aromas hit your nose and immediately make your mouth water. It becomes a rush of hunger to your belly when seeing all the options, but I stuck with the basics; butter chicken, rice and naan. We did order samosas as well and tried the Chicken Biryani. Everything was delicious from start to finish and the portions are grande. We took more than half our food home and they made great leftovers. The owners serve and operate the business on their own and they do one heck of a job. They came out to check on us several times and asked how we enjoyed the food. They were both incredibly nice human beings and for that they have made a satisfied customer out of me."
"Very high quality Indian food - loved the saag paneer and the Chana masala. Naan is great and rice of course as well. Friendly staff and a few tables inside to eat at. We love to stop here while we charge"
"Bright, clean, modern space with amazing food and great service. They have large booths that would accommodate 5 or 6 and tables as well. My party was promptly greeted and welcomed to sit where we preferred. The customer service is great. We received water glasses on a silver tray, in fact everything was brought out on a silver tray. Our server was friendly and very sweet. We had the samosas, paneer pakora, butter chicken, basmati rice and aloo ghobi. Everything was served hot and fresh. It was all delicious! I would definitely return."
"This was good for your regular butter chicken. It's my go to dish and this one didn't stand out to me. I would go somewhere else but it wasn't bad. Service and the space were good! If you're in this area, it's a good option for Indian but maybe go up in spice level and don't be cautious like I was."
"3/15/24Chicken Tikka Masala ordered spicy with rice, Roti & samosas ordered. The worker had a difficult time speaking fluent English, but was nice & apologized. It worked out. He said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. The worker was kind and the order was ready! Paid for it & left.Lunchtime! Order split. Samosa was Really DELICIOUS! Great dude sauces too! Chicken Tikka Masala was Great! Nice spicy flavor & really great with the rice included! Roti or? Not sure if it was that. Tasted like a garlic naan & it was still good. Think that was the minor language barrier. Plus, I have leftovers! Mother said hers was Great & I picked the right place. We looked at many Indian restaurants. Good service & Great lunch! Highly recommended!"
"Getting essential ingredients, like curry leaves, garam masala, and paneer is a head scratcher for an international student in america- especially in Fresno, or even for someone who is looking to cook a completely authentic indian recipe- where the essential ingredients are not simply available at the local trader joes or whole foods. The great news is, India sweet and spices not only carries a huge variety of ingredients to make that delicious pot of briyani, but it also carries a wide range of Indian toiletries, dried foods, frozen goods, teas, pots and pans (indian style), metal plates, bowls and glassware (like in india) and even sweet desserts such as freshly made indian cakes and ice cream. There is even a quick vegetarian restaurant located within this grocery, with seats and everything- and their food is good!Essentially the store is divided into 6 separate sections: 1. The frozen and perishable goods - where naan breads, parathas, paneer (goat cheese) and essential indian vegetables such as okras, methi (fenugreek leaves), brinjal, curry leaves and so much more is easily available year round. 2. The dessert bar- filled with 10-30 varieties of colorful authentic indian dessert (normally found in india), can be purchased by the piece or by the dozen. mix and matching is a great way to taste the different varieties of traditional indian desserts. Don't also forget about the hand made conical shaped indian ice cream known as kulfi, only available as this store. ( available in 5-6 different flavors) 3. The spice, tea, and dried rack - where you could get all the essential spaces like turmeric, cumin, coriander, dried mango powder, aniseed, black cardamom, cloves, garam masala, green cardamom, poppy seed (khus khus), saffron, tamarind and so much more. They also sell bitter gourd tea, and other lose leaf tea such as earl grey. 4. Fresh gourmet Indian street food/snacks - vegetarian options of all indian street food such as pani puri, pav bhaji, idli, dosa, vellayappam, yellow and black dhal, bhaji, samosas, paratha, poori and so much more. They are all affordable, prices ranges from $4- $9. There is even a proper seating area. 5. The pots, pans and utensils - every stainless pot, pan, glass, bowl, tiffin, utensil. serving bowl, cooker, masala dhaba, idli cooker, that one can imagine is available here. Someone who wants to cook and serve an indian meal in an authentic indian platter would find this place a heaven, and for an indian mum or student, this place would be the place to come to get your kitchen essentials as you arrive. 6. Indian costume jewelries and Praying goods. There are gorgeous indian costume jewelries and accessories perfect for a complete Indian dress up, everything from bangles to earnings and even slippers to compliment the whole look. Additionally this place sells all the indian god statues and prayer essentials, even holi powder- the colorful powder. They of course have henna and perfumes. Overall the store in my opinion is well stocked, and carries essentially everything to help me make an authentic indian cooking at home. The owners are also fairly friendly to help first timers. The size of this store is pretty impressive, since its quite big, there are plenty of parking located right in frontt of the store, and many more in its private lot. Definitely my to go for Indian essential grocery goods."
"Great food, great service, great place!!! I highly recommend you give this place a try. The paneer tikka masala, biryani, garlic naan was great! We also enjoyed the goobi pakora. The owner was so very friendly and caring. Just a small family business working their dream. We made a stop before getting home with our food and it was cooled down but still great! Which means dine in must be even better! Don't forget to ask for a dessert recommendation! We got these little orange balls that are eaten warm. Oh wow those were good too!We are 100% returning for more!"
"Really enjoyed the butter chicken and garlic naan. Always great to have more Indian food options here in Merced. This food truck is new and close to Costco."
"Great food and service. Everything was made to order and you could taste all the spices. The Indian tea had unique flavor."
"We used to say if you want good Indian food, you have drive to Fresno. Now that the hungry Elephant is in town, we no longer have to say this. Wow. What an AMAZING MEAL. Every. Single. Item. Was. Amazing. From the cold tart mango lassi $6 to the coconut Rogan Josh $19 to the Bread Basket naan $16. Service was great as well! The older gentleman brought over a cup with a straw without even our request. The water boy was always filling our waters. We felt very pampered and happy. Thank you, hungry elephant. We are happy elephants now."
"My lovely neighbor held his wedding reception here and it was very nicely decorated. Each table had a nice center and the chairs went with the theme of the reception. There were two lovely young ladies who went around offering Mango Lassi to guest when they were sitting down. They came around multiple times to see if you wanted more. They were such nice people! It was my friend time coming here and I do not eat a lot of Indian food. The staff educated me on the names of each item and also what it is. My favorite was the Tiki, it was so very good. It had this fried mash like people and it is topped off with various toppings such as sour cream, onions, ginger, their sauce, cilantro, etc. There were quite a few of them for this dish. It was so good I had to go back twice for it. Anything potato, I love! So apparently all the food items that were out along the wall were appetizers. I thought it was the main meal, but my husband and I did not know that. We ate so much, come time for the main course we had no more room. There was so much food to eat. I love their creamy chicken, it was so tender and saucy. Really delicious! They also had hot Chai Tea served there and I had two cups of it. Overall, I think the food was great! Really enjoyed experiencing Indian food in this capacity. I think this venue is a great place (hall) to hold special events either for receptions, birthdays, events, etc. It has the room for it and it's quite nice. The staff were really hard working and made sure all guest was accommodated. They have restroom stalls and it is cleaned. The other side of this event hall is the actual restaurant. I would definitely come back next time if I am in the mood for some Indian food."
"I had it delivered through DoorDash so I can only comment on the food. I'm so glad Reedley has a new and different option! The food was solid and my husband and toddler were obsessed with the garlic naan. The chickpeas aren't for me but I really enjoyed the butter chicken and rice."
"Service: Very good. Asked for everything to be w/out cilantro. Fish Pakora had cilantro but it was quickly resolved & recooked. Great service!Ambiance is fine!ORDER:Samosa: not very crispy, tender & lightly spicy w/really good little salad. Fish Pakora: not very crispy, but tender & lightly spicy.Regular Naan & Garlic Naan: good. Lamb Biryani: Probably my least favorite thing I got. Lamb was a bit tough & dry. Goat Curry: Sauce is soooo flavorful! Goat was good. Chicken Tikka Masala: Sauce is soooo flavorful! Chicken was a bit hard & tough tho. Baingan Bharta: Delicious! Something I always get at Indian restaurants & this may be my favorite one yet. I imagine the chicken & lamb probably were better earlier in the evening. I ordered at 9pm. Overall, really happy I tried this place! Will come back again."
"We have family that we often visit for Thanksgiving in this area, so we usually stop by here on the way home - I don't write updates to old reviews as often as maybe I should, but in this case, I feel like I need to, because they recently (as of last fall) became under new ownership, and it's rare to get to say that a place that was already great, just got even better. I've liked the place since we discovered it in 2013, but new ownership, among other things, is actually putting *prices* up for everything (though as of when we were there a few months ago, they were still working on it). The food is still the same - though the prices on their website are way more expensive than I'd remembered, it turns out that's because their website goes through some 3rd-party service that charges a bunch, fees that they then pass on to the consumer. The dine-in price was about what I remembered, ie very affordable for the quality. Their samosas still feel made in-house, are still great, and still make excellent samosa chaat (maybe eventually I'll get a different appetizer... probably not, though, it's just too good). We did try the lamb curry this time, which was a *little* bland, still pretty tasty - and great lamb). The store side still has the same great selection of hard to find Indian foodstuffs of all sorts (the main reason we stop here annually). The new owner, when she learned I hadn't tried any of the sweets at the front, despite it being in the name of the store, gave me a bunch of free samples, which was also smart of her, as now I'm totally in love with the milk bar, and am probably going to be buying more, roughly annually.) Super friendly person too - she was clearly excited to tell us about them and how they're made - and for the most part, they were all quite tasty (there was one that was just way too sweet, but some people probably like that one the best.)"
"I'm so happy this restaurant has opened up in this space! The staff is very friendly, they have lots of menu options, and the food is really good! Today I ate the saag paneer, which is cubes of a firm cheese similar in taste to ricotta, cooked in a thick sauce of mustard greens and spices. It was fragrant, savory, and filling. Their garlic naan (flat bread with garlic, herbs, and butter) and jeera rice (white basmati rice cooked with cumin seeds and cardamom) are also very flavorful and are perfect for scooping up the sauce from the curries. I recommend ordering everything spicy, as it adds flavor and the heat isn't overwhelming. I expect the food will just get better (they've been open about a month at the time I'm writing). Everyone should go try this great addition to our town! I've also heard great reviews from friends, coworkers, and people on Facebook. If the food is unfamiliar, just ask the server questions or google dishes from the menu before you go. The restaurant is clean and bright with brand new tables and chairs. Photos are from a "to-go" order that I ate in my office."
"Not my prettiest yelp picture but I was hungry!First time here and food was pretty good and flavorful. It was ready really fast for a late pick up order too. Biriyani and samosas were decent. Butter chicken tasted authentic and not full of heavy cream. I would come back to try some other things. For those of you who like spicy food like me, I ordered my meal in medium spice because Indian spicy is normally REALLY spicy. Their medium here is very mild "
"Wowza! Everything I love about Indian cuisine on a crisp pizza crust! It's truly to die for, bravo to the chef! Service is amazing as well! The atmosphere is family friendly clean, with lots of booths for a more intimate experience as well as tables. A great selection of beers to match the menu. All around a great find for us on our trip!"
"New pizza place recently opened in northeast Fresno. I came in to order a Meat lover pizza. Good service, friendly staff, and delicious pizza."
"Food was super awesome Very friendly service Colorful & nice Indian Music made it lovelyBIG Plus this place is super DOG friendly!"
"First, Yelp has it wrong on the map. It is a bit more west on Hwy 417 than Yelp says, on the left you'll see a sign for Indian Tacos anders turn left at it. You can also Google Coyote Tacos when you get close and it'll pull up on Google Maps. Next, they only have hamburger filling. Apparently, whoever wrote up their Yelp introduction did so about 10 years ago when the chef was actually cooking there and making fusion tacos, but now it's just hamburger. The chef left for the casino again and the ladies who are working the Taco Shack are super sweet and the fry bread is really REALLY good. I also enjoyed the salsa and wish that they had had some in jars but I think they were sold out. The middle size was five bucks and very filling, I could barely finish one. Definitely with the stop if you're on the area. Note: they do not have a bathroom."
