"My lovely neighbor held his wedding reception here and it was very nicely decorated. Each table had a nice center and the chairs went with the theme of the reception. There were two lovely young ladies who went around offering Mango Lassi to guest when they were sitting down. They came around multiple times to see if you wanted more. They were such nice people! It was my friend time coming here and I do not eat a lot of Indian food. The staff educated me on the names of each item and also what it is. My favorite was the Tiki, it was so very good. It had this fried mash like people and it is topped off with various toppings such as sour cream, onions, ginger, their sauce, cilantro, etc. There were quite a few of them for this dish. It was so good I had to go back twice for it. Anything potato, I love! So apparently all the food items that were out along the wall were appetizers. I thought it was the main meal, but my husband and I did not know that. We ate so much, come time for the main course we had no more room. There was so much food to eat. I love their creamy chicken, it was so tender and saucy. Really delicious! They also had hot Chai Tea served there and I had two cups of it. Overall, I think the food was great! Really enjoyed experiencing Indian food in this capacity. I think this venue is a great place (hall) to hold special events either for receptions, birthdays, events, etc. It has the room for it and it's quite nice. The staff were really hard working and made sure all guest was accommodated. They have restroom stalls and it is cleaned. The other side of this event hall is the actual restaurant. I would definitely come back next time if I am in the mood for some Indian food."
"This is one of my favorite Indian food restaurants for the very fresh and great tasting dishes they have and especially for the lunch special. If you haven't been here yet, I recommend you come and try the lunch special so you can get to enjoy a verity of 3 different delicious dishes on one plate. You have 2 choices, either chicken or vegetarian. The lunch special also includes freshly made Naan (your choice of garlic or plain), Basmati rice, Raiti (Indian yogurt sauce), salad and even dessert which is Gulab Jamun. You also get to choose your spice level, which I always get mild just to be safe. Anyway, I just wanted to say how delicious the food is here, and I highly recommend you try it if you haven't. You will NOT be disappointed. Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan is my favorite."

"We have family that we often visit for Thanksgiving in this area, so we usually stop by here on the way home - I don't write updates to old reviews as often as maybe I should, but in this case, I feel like I need to, because they recently (as of last fall) became under new ownership, and it's rare to get to say that a place that was already great, just got even better. I've liked the place since we discovered it in 2013, but new ownership, among other things, is actually putting *prices* up for everything (though as of when we were there a few months ago, they were still working on it). The food is still the same - though the prices on their website are way more expensive than I'd remembered, it turns out that's because their website goes through some 3rd-party service that charges a bunch, fees that they then pass on to the consumer. The dine-in price was about what I remembered, ie very affordable for the quality. Their samosas still feel made in-house, are still great, and still make excellent samosa chaat (maybe eventually I'll get a different appetizer... probably not, though, it's just too good). We did try the lamb curry this time, which was a *little* bland, still pretty tasty - and great lamb). The store side still has the same great selection of hard to find Indian foodstuffs of all sorts (the main reason we stop here annually). The new owner, when she learned I hadn't tried any of the sweets at the front, despite it being in the name of the store, gave me a bunch of free samples, which was also smart of her, as now I'm totally in love with the milk bar, and am probably going to be buying more, roughly annually.) Super friendly person too - she was clearly excited to tell us about them and how they're made - and for the most part, they were all quite tasty (there was one that was just way too sweet, but some people probably like that one the best.)"
"Who knew Indian food and pizza would be an amazing combination! We ordered a large pizza ($28) with half butter chicken and half tikka masala. The Curry Pizza Company definitely does not skimp out on meat, as you can see with the mountains of chicken on our pizza. We opted to eat inside since there are plenty of booths and tables at the restaurant. Each table is stocked with squeeze-y bottles of ranch which really elevates the flavors. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone who loves Indian flavors or who may want an introduction to Indian food!"
"Food was super awesome Very friendly service Colorful & nice Indian Music made it lovelyBIG Plus this place is super DOG friendly!"
"Service: Very good. Asked for everything to be w/out cilantro. Fish Pakora had cilantro but it was quickly resolved & recooked. Great service!Ambiance is fine!ORDER:Samosa: not very crispy, tender & lightly spicy w/really good little salad. Fish Pakora: not very crispy, but tender & lightly spicy.Regular Naan & Garlic Naan: good. Lamb Biryani: Probably my least favorite thing I got. Lamb was a bit tough & dry. Goat Curry: Sauce is soooo flavorful! Goat was good. Chicken Tikka Masala: Sauce is soooo flavorful! Chicken was a bit hard & tough tho. Baingan Bharta: Delicious! Something I always get at Indian restaurants & this may be my favorite one yet. I imagine the chicken & lamb probably were better earlier in the evening. I ordered at 9pm. Overall, really happy I tried this place! Will come back again."
"There are quite a few Indian restaurants in the area, heard about this place through a coworker. Decided to give a try and sure enough, it was pretty good. Took the recommendation of ordering butter chicken, shahi paneer, garlic naan, and tikki masala. I decided to try their roti chicken as well. Garlic naan was better than other restaurant I have tried. Out of all the dishes we ordered, the shahi paneer and butter chicken stood out. I think all are good with the garlic naan but the shahi paneer stood out more. The chicken was okay but not the best. Service was mediocre. It looks like they do buffet as well so might give a try another day. Overall glad to found a place that's pretty consistent with their food."
"Been coming to this specific location at least every 2-3 months for the last 3 years. Beyond impressive how consistent their food is I've never had to take a plate back because it was the wrong order or not good. Go to is the butter chicken, shae paneer, peas pealof, and or course the garlic naan"
"When I tell y'all this was the best Indian food I've ever had in my entire life...I'm well traveled and have had a LOT of Indian food in the U.S., but nothing has ever been as good as this place. Im sad I'm flying back home tomorrow, because I would've come back to eat here again tomorrow without hesitation. I'm either going round 2 with my leftovers tonight, or it's getting packed into my carry on to take home tomorrow - it is THAT good. I rarely come to Fresno because....it's Fresno...but I was in town visiting family, and this is place is making me rethink skipping out on Christmas just so I can come back What we ordered (sorry ate everything too fast for pics):-Veggie Samosas: start-Chicken Tikka: So so so good. Lots of flavor. Only downside was, it was fresh off the stove and I kept burning my tongue trying to eat it too fast haha. I was too eager, and it was too good!-The Chicken Vindaloo (mild): the chicken was SO tender and flavorful! Spiced perfectly. Probably my favorite of them all!-Garlic Naan: I didn't have this one, because I couldn't have the butter, but my bf seemed to enjoy it. -Plain Naan: Super fresh and I didn't feel like I was missing out without the butter at all -Plain rice: It's rice. It was cooked well. No complaints. Nothing to write home about. Ambiance:The outside is lit up like the Vegas strip haha which I appreciated. The inside was decorated beautifully with lots of ornate embellishments, wallpapers, and art pieces. It's tastefully done. Service:Service was maybe a 4/5. Everyone was very nice, and maybe they were just a little busy with the rush so we had to flag folks down a lot but overall still very good. The food came out very quickly! I'm telling y'all to come up here and get some of this! Highly recommend. I'll be back FOR SURE"
"The lack of consistent seasoning and slow service makes Cafe India a no go for me.Having always taken my meals to go, I found that items were always packed well but the expected wait time to be excessively long. When I pick up my food, it takes 40 minutes or so for it to be ready despite the tables being empty.Although there were 4 total spice levels, they practically tasted the same. The extra spicy would be equivalent to a medium elsewhere.*Mango Lassi: yogurt heavy and the mango was very light. Sour and sweet but not as refreshing as others I've tried.*Garlic Naan: my favorite item as this bread was smothered in garlic. The naan was soft and stretchy with subtle browning. Wished each order came with more pieces but it was worth the extra 50 cents from the regular naan.*Chicken Tikka Masala: lots of tender chicken was included but I've always found a piece of gristle. The portion was decent but the sauce was incredibly bland. The flavors were muted and I craved additional spices and fragrance. Given the wait and higher prices, I didn't find the quality to be worth it. Perhaps I'll stop by for just the garlic naan but Cafe India doesn't have the depth of flavor I crave from Indian cuisine."
"Indian food has been on my bucket list for a while, and I finally got the chance to check off another spot! My friends and I decided to try this place, and let me just say, it did not disappoint.First off, the star of the night? Our waitress! She was hilarious, full of energy, and kept the vibe super fun throughout the evening. Attentive without being overbearing, she checked in on us often, making sure everything was perfect. Now, yes, the food took a bit longer than usual to arrive, but honestly, it wasn't a dealbreaker. We were having a good time, and it was worth the wait. The food itself? Delicious! While I'm still a newbie to Indian cuisine, I've tried a few places, and compared to those, this one is a little more on the "pay-per-item" side since it's a la carte. For four of us, the total came to about $150, which got us two orders of samosas, two orders of rice, three types of naan, four entrees, three alcoholic drinks, and a soda. The tandoori was the standout in terms of portions--it had plenty of meat, while some of the other entrees left us wanting just a little more. But in terms of flavor and quality? Spot on. Every bite was packed with the kind of bold, rich flavors you hope for in Indian food. The pricing is fair for the quality you get, though I'd love to see just a bit more in the portion department for certain dishes. All in all, this place is a must-try for anyone looking to spice up their night with great food, great company, and an even better vibe. I'll definitely be back!"
"Wowza! Everything I love about Indian cuisine on a crisp pizza crust! It's truly to die for, bravo to the chef! Service is amazing as well! The atmosphere is family friendly clean, with lots of booths for a more intimate experience as well as tables. A great selection of beers to match the menu. All around a great find for us on our trip!"

We were trying to find a restaurant that would accommodate 18-20 people. I called IKP and they gave us this AMAZING back room that was SO SPACIOUS! We had several appetizers and several entrees that we shared. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here for an intimate dinner or for a huge dinner party.

Standard sweets & spices is one of our favorite spots! As soon as you walk in the store, you're greeted by the owners of the store and met with a variety of both fresh and packaged groceries. The groceries they sell are both imported and local goods. Their imported goods are decently priced and unique. They range from produce, freezer meals/foods/ grains, snacks, and more!In the back of the store, they have a restaurant where they serve some of the finest Indian cuisine in fresno. Their butter chicken is some of the best we've ever had. Creamy, tasty, and the chicken is super tender. The garlic naan is also a favorite, although sometimes the order is a bit light on the garlic. When checking out, the service is quick and nice. They have a glass case by the register with a variety of Indian sweets that are definitely worth trying. Each piece is sold by the pound, so they get a box and fill it to your liking and with what choices you'd like. My favorite sweet has to be the pistachio burfi. It's totally worth stopping by and checking out whether it be for the groceries or restaurant!

First time here. We got the curry waffle fries and Chicken Curry Masala pizza. 5 stars for the pizza. Crisp, so much of chicken, and great flavor. The fries however.....I believe the fires would be great by themselves. But the curry made the fries so soggy. Felt it was too much. Definitely will be back for the pizza.

I love my shrimp butter masala, it's rich and creamy, a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spiciness. This dish would be perfect if fresh shrimp were used instead of frozen ones, but given the location and price, there's not much to complain.Mango lassi is also my go-to drink, so creamy and silky.Garlic naan is crispy on the edge, a bit greasy on the fingers.Staff are friendly.

Arguably one of the most popular Indian restaurants in Fresno, primarily known for its lunch buffet and offering a vast variety of dishes. The menu is very comprehensive with as many as 100 dishes prepared here including the following: vegetable curries, seafood entrees, mutton entrees, lamb entrees, chicken entrees, soups, tandoori and other appetizers, Thali dinners, breads, parathas, Indian desserts, and rice dishes. The lentil soup is made from yellow lentils and boiled vegetables which gives it added texture and a slight bitterness I was not particularly fond of. I cannot say I am overly impressed with the taste and quality of the few dishes I have tried, including what was served as part of their buffet. The tandoori chicken, on the other hand, is very good: a good balance of spices, and herbs with a nice lemon zest and the meat was plump and juicy.Although there are other Indian restaurants I think I prefer for certain dishes, I look forward to coming back to Royal Taj for its lunch buffet and to try the Thali dinners (round dinner trays served with vegetables) and a number of the fish and shrimp dishes.Service is very friendly, fast, and attentive.

Best meal I've ever had...went there for lunch with my colleagues. They order very hot/spicey food so they got what they wanted. I on the other hand went for the Chicken Tikka Masala, just amazing. The garlic Naan bread was very soft and delicious. The atmosphere was clean and classy. Truly unexpected. Definitely worth the time for you to visit this gem of a place.

"Oh boy, is this place ever good! New owners and they know what they're doing. I've been eating Indian food for about 36 years and this is one of the best I've ever had. To taste everything and it all be amazing is kind of unusual, not too spicy, not too salty and lots of flavor. I live in Clovis but I'll drive out here to eat. Delicious!"
"Not my prettiest yelp picture but I was hungry!First time here and food was pretty good and flavorful. It was ready really fast for a late pick up order too. Biriyani and samosas were decent. Butter chicken tasted authentic and not full of heavy cream. I would come back to try some other things. For those of you who like spicy food like me, I ordered my meal in medium spice because Indian spicy is normally REALLY spicy. Their medium here is very mild "
"I tried something new this time and wow the flavors were soo good! I saw the panpuri on tiktok and was surprised they had their own version of it and it was so good! Service was great. They were very attentive. The rest aunt had a nice vibe to it. Not too big or too small."
"Very friendly service. The lady gave a recommendation on new things to try so I decided to go with the Veg 5 items with 2 tandoori roti. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, Friday afternoon around 4:30pm. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was hot, fresh, and super flavorful with a very nice spicy kick to it. Highly recommend as I will visit again!"
"1st time here pizza was very Delicious. I order half Hawaiian hurricane and butter chicken fast n friendly and clean service Quite place for lunch !"
"Walked in around 6pm on a Saturday. Place was a little slow but service was spot on. The waitress was very sweet, friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Samosa, the Samosa channa, okra (Bhindi Masala) Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. everything was absolute perfection. Let me just say this, we had left overs so of course we had to order 2 more orders of garlic Naan and samosas for tomorrow! We will definitely be coming again!"
"This was good for your regular butter chicken. It's my go to dish and this one didn't stand out to me. I would go somewhere else but it wasn't bad. Service and the space were good! If you're in this area, it's a good option for Indian but maybe go up in spice level and don't be cautious like I was."
"Taste great, staff is friendly. Many options to choose from... great for spicy food lover.Highly recommend!"
"We came here for lunch the other day and it was excellent. The service was friendly and quick. The food was all delicious. The naan was soft and had a nice chew. The chicken and lamb were terrific and both gravy's had amazing flavor. If you are looking for good Indian in Fresno area give Aadar a try!"
"If you like or love Indian Food, then this is the place to go.....if you're close by of course. I've been watching this place ever since it joined the "hot & new" section on Yelp and was eagerly excited to try it. One Sunday after church I suggested this place to my doppelgänger because we were indecisive and she agreed to give it a go. I'm so glad we did. The eatery is located inside an Indian Grocery Store next to a Liquor Store down the street from Dollar General. Signs will lead the way.Upon entering, aromas hit your nose and immediately make your mouth water. It becomes a rush of hunger to your belly when seeing all the options, but I stuck with the basics; butter chicken, rice and naan. We did order samosas as well and tried the Chicken Biryani. Everything was delicious from start to finish and the portions are grande. We took more than half our food home and they made great leftovers. The owners serve and operate the business on their own and they do one heck of a job. They came out to check on us several times and asked how we enjoyed the food. They were both incredibly nice human beings and for that they have made a satisfied customer out of me."
"We were lucky enough to stumble upon this Indian restaurant while driving thru Selma. The chicken tikka masala was yummy and honestly this was the.best garlic naan I've ever had. The owner said the garlic is fresh. Nice family owned restaurant."
"My family and I were really impressed with the quality and taste of the food! We got the All Meat pizza and the bbq bone-in wings. We are curious about their other menu items and are planning on returning to order next weekend as well."
"3/15/24Chicken Tikka Masala ordered spicy with rice, Roti & samosas ordered. The worker had a difficult time speaking fluent English, but was nice & apologized. It worked out. He said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. The worker was kind and the order was ready! Paid for it & left.Lunchtime! Order split. Samosa was Really DELICIOUS! Great dude sauces too! Chicken Tikka Masala was Great! Nice spicy flavor & really great with the rice included! Roti or? Not sure if it was that. Tasted like a garlic naan & it was still good. Think that was the minor language barrier. Plus, I have leftovers! Mother said hers was Great & I picked the right place. We looked at many Indian restaurants. Good service & Great lunch! Highly recommended!"
"I have eaten here many many times and not sure why I didn't review this place on yelp. When it comes to food I'm very particular and hard to please. This place has always met my expectation and done a fantastic job! 1) 99% this is the cleanest, well organized true vegetarian/vegan restaurant/grocery store you will find in Fresno.2) It's in a bit odd location, which is not a big deal.3) Their samosa, Cholay, chutney are best in comparison to other Indian places in Fresno.4) Must try Chole Bhature order. authenticity of the home-cooked meal along with well-balanced spices and herbs.5) Both partners Mr. Singhs are good people, If you have a complaint they work with you to rectify the issue. Thanks, Apna Bazar for providing good service. I hope you can keep up the same recipes and not make any changes to them."
"My oldest and I stopped in to try the weekend buffet for $17.99 . This inside is nice and buffet area was clean. Everyone was so nice and asked if we had any questions about the dishes. The buffet included a hot tea, plain naan , and some ice cream as well. There was a great selection of, four meat options and 3 vegetarian options. They had samosas, rice, salad and gulab jamun. The naan was nice and thin but not too thin. The butter chicken was delicious but my favorite was this chili chicken ! My oldest enjoyed everything and definitely wants to go back. I wish next time they have an aloo gobi which is my favorite. The only complaint I think I had was the samosas needed a little bit of spice(spicy) and the tandoori chicken was a bit dry and over cooked but maybe it was the piece I picked."
"I had it delivered through DoorDash so I can only comment on the food. I'm so glad Reedley has a new and different option! The food was solid and my husband and toddler were obsessed with the garlic naan. The chickpeas aren't for me but I really enjoyed the butter chicken and rice."
"I've enjoyed regular lunches here for some time...always friendly fast service, great food selections, and sitting outside on nice days with a small dining area inside next to intriguing groceries I've never tasted. For a small place, with lots of choices, like entering a different world for a brief respite (for me at least!) with lots of Indian customers, always a good recommendation for an ethnic place."
"Ok, hands down, this is the best pizza I have ever had, but also the most expensive. My suggestion is to buy for 1 and not your whole family."
"This place is a little grocery store combined with a little restaurant and bakery inside. Parking space is plenty as it's in a little complex. It looked like they had a lot of desserts to offer. But I was there for my main favorite which is butter chicken. I ordered it for takeout and waited 15 to 20 minutes. The lady who helped me was friendly. The butter chicken wasn't the best, but it was doable. If you're a big fan of butter chicken like me then I would recommend going elsewhere for it such as Tandoori Grill that is a few blocks down on Peach and Cesar Chavez."
"Very fresh food lots of choices the food is made to order they also have a section for sweets I was surprised how many selections of fresh fruits and vegetables"
"CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Clovis and might also be in all of Fresno. Aman the owner was super nice and checked in on us a couple of times.Fish Pakora was an incredible appetizer and the fish is Basa Basa, a favorite of mine. Chicken spring rolls were also very good. The four dipping sauces were a perfect compliment.Chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were also very tasty. They are new and finding their way so PLEASE have patience, but they are super nice. Support the small business owner while having fresh, excellent Indian food."
"We wanted to try another Middle Eastern restaurant. We chose Moga mandi. We ordered through Door Dash. The food was outstanding. We loved it. I felt like it was a home cooked East Indian meal. We ordered the Non-veg Thali. It came with balsamic rice, two different sauces, dal. We chose the Chicken Tikka and the Shahi Paneer dish. Both were excellent. To accompany our meal we ordered garlic naan. Everything was great! I appreciated that the food was not as spicy hot at other similar restaurants. You were able to taste the rich sauces and spices used in each selection. This generous meal was $12.99. A great price. We want to order again soon. This is a real gem of a restaurant. Try it as soon as you can. It's wonderful!"
"Enjoyed my dinner there. Had the butter chicken served thali style and it comes with Nan and a few other side dishes. I also got the samosas. I definitely had left overs."
