"A staple in the Tower District for four decades, Richie's Pizza & Hot Dogs is the go-to spot for locals craving New York-style thin crust. Pizzas can be ordered by the slice or as a whole. A slice is more like two huge slices. A slice of pepperoni remains $6.45, so you get your money's worth. A whole pepperoni pizza is $25.75. I tried a slice of the combo, $7.75 - pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives - had most of the components of a good New York thin crust: an easily foldable crust that had a good balance of chewiness and crispiness, fresh toppings, well-seasoned meats, and generously layered with mozzarella cheese. The tomato sauce lacked the distinct zest and freshness I am particularly fond of (from some of my favorite New York-style pizza parlors in New York, San Francisco, and throughout Southern California where I moved from).The other classic, affordable, on-the-go dish is, of course, their hot dogs. They make them with all-beef franks and serve them up New York-style, Chicago-style, their specialty the Richie Chili Dog, and the Fresno Dog. There is even a Pizza Dog, prepared with spicy beef sausage, homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and onions. It is not a true hot dog stand if they do not have fresh sauerkraut and both yellow and spicy mustard, along with relish and diced onions. Richie's has it all.Richie's is a popular choice for a quick, inexpensive, grab-and-go meal or if you are in the Tower District and want to sit down and enjoy a pizza slice or hot dog with an ice-cold beer or soda. It stays open late on weekends."

"This place was a recommendation from a friend. We saw they had award winning burgers and were so excited. This place did not disappoint. We each ordered a single burger and fries. I got steak fries and my husband got seasoned fries. The service was great. The girls up front was helpful and patient. It was a diner/style burger place. You order up front and they bring you the food. We ordered a chocolate shake before leaving and it was thick and delicious! We can't wait to go back and try the onion rings."

"The service was friendly & great. Servings generous. So many great options at this collection of food trucks with nice seating, and I'd like to try another truck next time, but I may just have to try a different hot dog from Kreme Dog. I had the Flaming Frito Dog and this 60+ year old white lady found it bland, so it was not a winner for me.The garlic fries were delicious and very rich. I couldn't eat all the food."

"6/29/23 Really really liking their veggie cheese sandwich! Ordered for lunch! It's open and only been open a week! No wait. The worker was very kind. He wasn't certain when I asked for hot sauce, but the manger was great and took over helping. Hot sauce will be on the side. Very nice inside. All the red and white square decor. Music playing inside. Paid for the order and wished a good day! Waited a bit. Got some peanuts. It gets better! The manager said toppings are free and I could add jalapeños. What? Seriously? Already had my order ready and complete, but was happy to give jalapeños on the side. Yes! Received along with a thank you! Lunchtime! It was REALLY DELICIOUS. They didn't include the hot sauce, but the fresh jalapeños made up for it! Fresh veggies, loved the fresh jalapeños to spice it up, fresh bread and cheesy! The bomb! Great service and delicious, great veggie cheese sandwich with jalapeños added! Highly recommended!"

"I've been coming here ever since I found out relatives live here. And if there's one constant in my Porterville travels.... WILL BE SUPER BURGER!Ironically, we come for the shakes, we get the Chocolate Chip one and they blend it with Vanilla and Chocolate shavings. Name me a place that can do this (I think not). Another staple I get is the Fried Zucchini. Anywhere else in the bay area, I can't find anything that compares to Super Burgers. Along with their ranch, home made and it pairs beautifully with anything you dip it in. 8/24/2024"

"Very friendly service! Simple drive-in food: burgers, fries, shakes, fried appetizers. My biggest complaint is their bacon isn't the fresh cooked kind, it seems to be pre-cooked, and just heated up when added to a burger. Drive-ins should always have the good bacon. Prices are on the up. No inside to sit in, so it's a to-go or fair-weather spot."

"Having heard only great things about House of Juju, I was excited to finally be able to try one of their gourmet burgers. I got the Leticia burger which has spicy chipotle cilantro sauce and avocados. With their burgers, there are several protein options such as beef, turkey, mushroom, and bison. Side options come with the burgers too. It's a very filling meal for about $20. The service is attentive. The restaurant is walk-ins only. Dogs are welcomed here and are seated on the patio."
