"The place is so charming. The owner really adds so much to the personality of the place as well. There was a nice selection of fruit and vegetables. It is just a friendly stop."
"Yesterday I stopped by Blossom Bluff's stand at the Albany Farmers' Market. Because I had just seen my chiropractor I was limited as to how much weight I could lift, so didn't look closely at the stone fruit. Nina bought some apriums. The young woman explained that apriums are 75% apricot and 25% plum, while pluots are 75% plum and 25% apricot. I didn't know that. What I did notice and buy was a 4 oz package of sliced and dried Fuyu persimmons for $5. I had some today and they were very tasty. Next week I will be able to carry more and I will buy some stone fruit too. When I was looking for a Blossom Bluff review to add mine to rather than starting a new thread, I was delighted to find my friend Lainie L. was FTR. I commend her lovely review to your attention."
"Pricey items but what other places isnt. Most of your oriental cooking needs is here. They have butchers here that can grind cut ur meats upon request. 4 stars due to the seafood smell causes me migraines."
"Super nice and friendly folks! You can pick your own strawberries or buy baskets ready to go. Also, other assorted veggies there. Cash or cards accepted. On Temperance just south of Kings Canyon. Lots of parking."
"I used to live in Lemoore; two separate occasions. My parents would go here for any "Asian products". By the way, this is a Filipino store that carries Asian goods. Most of the people that go here are Filipino so many of the products reflect their customer patterns.A lot of the products are okay, but I tend to buy snacks that are past-expired or are nearing their stale date. We don't buy fish here anymore because the ice tends to melt and the fish are basically stacked on each other. They have some frozen goods, movies for rent, and Pinoy souvenirs. They have one or two imitation bags on sale here sometimes, too.Sometimes, they get so distracted by the TV that they don't realize you're waiting to pay. In another case, their busy talking to another customer and totally blow you off. The new owners used to have a competing Filipino store called the "Oriental Market" but it shut down and combined with this one."
"The dude and I came to Aldi about two weeks ago as we have been hearing so much about this place and I personally hear about this place on my Pandora so we thought to give them a try!In order to get a basket you need a quarter which is odd to me...I don't understand the concept of it at all! You do get your quarter back when you return the basket. The store is not too big but not small either. We really didn't see staff much as they were mostly sitting down at the check out. They do have unique items here which we found Karma water which is a probiotic water, we got a flavor of each and all of them were very tasty! The dude and I ended up getting lamb chops which it was delicious when he grilled it on the grill. He also got a steak which he said was good quality. We found low calorie bread about 45 calories per slice which is not bad at all! Our checker lady was the only interaction we had and she was a little rude but other than that we had a great experience! I may only come back for the probiotic water only. Possibly I can find it elsewhere. Glad to experience it!"
"I give out free government phones. It clearly makes my day to give my cusotmers phones and leaves smiles on there faces. Although the business been slow every weekend, wish it be a better saturdays and sundays each time i head out there. This upcoming weekend should and hope will be better."
"We happened upon this cute market on the way to Sequoia and picked up some amazing pistachios, figs, and blood oranges. For a little market, they have a lot of great stuff, and even better prices. Worth the stop!"
"I have had a good experience working here. Everyone is very helpful, friendly, and nice. I never experienced any sort of mistreatment or discrimination, so I do not know what's up with the other negative reviews. The ladies never yelled at anyone, and they were always super nice to everyone."
"The thing is, the beautiful Fresno County Blossom Trail, famous for its Springtime displays, http://www.gofresnocounty.com/blossomtrail/blossomindex.asp, should also be known as the Fruit Trail. After all, blossoms *do* become summer fruit, and the Fresno area has the perfect climate for some of the most prolific, sweet fruit in California.Friesen's is one of many seasonal fruit stands located along that trail. And there are many. Some are big enough for big commercial ventures, some little roadside stands. Friesen's is big, very big. But they also have a roadside stand. And their peaches and nectarines are big and juicy and sweet. Don't take my word for it, just ask for samples. If you check their website, you will discover which fruits are currently being picked: peaches, nectarines, apricots, and/or plums. Regardless, you will not be disappointed. Now keep in mind, the weather is far from desirable during picking season. July-August is downright devilishly hot. So make sure your car air conditioning is working well, and bring plenty of water. And maybe an ice chest. And, so, my friends, leap in your car, seize the day, and find yourself buying way too much fruit than is humanly possible to eat, and maybe a jar of jam, cobbler, or pie, too. Those chain grocery stores simply cannot compete."

This is a wonderful place to stop and buy some delicious fresh fruit, veggies, etc... The woman who runs the business is very nice and offered us as many samples as we wanted. I'm hoping the peppers we bought are hot hot hot!

Don't know much about Parlier except that it's about 200 miles away. Now, their farmers market stand at the Ferry Building is a different story. The beauty of the market normally is being able to sample fruits before deciding on whether to buy. Starting last Spring, this perk became a memory so a shopper has to depend on two things: a. asking the seller for his/her opinion and b. eyeball the fruits or vegetables. During the summer, you'll see a variety of stone fruits such as peaches and nectarines. During the past two or three months, it has mainly been citrus fruits (mandarins and tangerines) and persimmons, both Fuyu and Hachiya varieties. My mom is particularly fond of the Hachiyas which take some patience in waiting for them to ripen before eating; when they are ripe (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=TkZDd_96hOzCFeYhEFHTRA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), let's just say that the meat is sweet like sugar. The season ended about the end of 2020 for them but mandarins are still available as well as the visually interesting Buddha's hand fruit (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=uT2JOTQHHK0-aanp8v9edg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). I have no idea how to eat them... Googled this right after writing this. They are at the Ferry Building on Tuesdays and Saturdays (back lot area). Do stop by and see if something fits your palates.

2 stars only for being the only large Asian grocer nearby. That's the only pro. Cons:-doesn't always carry many of the standard Asian supermarket staples like black vinegar, big canister of sesame oil, satay sauce, etc.-produce on the brink of spoiling-nearly everything is overpriced-they turn off lights (impossible to find products and read and labels) and shoo you out long before the posted closing timeWe are in desperate need of a 99 Ranch, Great Wall, or Mitsuwa here.

Visited during Hot Autumn Summer 2024 (October! lol) and had a great time! There were plenty of delicious and refreshing cold drinks for sale. I got a strawberry lemonade with fresh strawberries and mint and it was great. They had a lot of vendor booths selling handmade and crafted items, lots of cute stuff! I picked up some cupcakes and cookies. Would definitely check out their events and looking forward to u-pick strawberries next season. The pumpkins were all easy to pick up and there were beautiful flowers too. Lots of cute photo spots. Friendly staff too. Great local farm stand!

Majority Filippino-type products. They had these packaged dinner rolls in front of their store. TOTALLY get it, sooo good. Sorry don't know what its called, but there are 12 of them in small squares, I highly suggest it like $3? And they had a few products I would probably purchase if I'm in a desperate need of them (like sesame oil or korean crackers). I'm Korean so I'm interested in products that I'm familiar with: Korean or Japanese. I don't know Filippino products so I can't say. But I'm glad there is SOME kind of Asian store.

I am really surprised but all the low stars for this store. It's a German store but I noticed a lot of Canadian items. I am hoping Canada has better FDA requirements than the US does as I did see several packages stating no hormones, no nitrates and no GMO. This place reminds me of Trader Joe's only sometimes you'll see a brand name you recognize. A lot of the packaging will look similar to a US brand you would recognize. For example I saw a bottle of hot sauce that was a straight up clone of Frank's Hot Sauce only it was called Burren's. This place is great for Keto dieter's (minus the fact the zero carb bread won't be in stock until Jan. 2020). I found so many already prepared meats that were Keto friendly. The prices weren't bad. I would say the prices are pretty close to trader joe shopping. The store is very clean, very organized, the staff is friendly and the lines aren't long. Even other shoppers were a lot more friendly here. Things you will need to shop here: #1 Yes, you need a quarter for shopping cart dispensing but this saves on them having to use a clerk to go out collecting shopping carts. You get your quarter back when you return your cart. I saw plenty of customers paying it forward and giving their cart with quarter-in to a total stranger. #2 grocery bags When you check out, the clerk loads your groceries from the conveyor belt back into your cart. After you pay for your groceries, there are empty counters by the windows in which you can bag your groceries on. I am not sure why people are complaining about this since this is pretty much practiced at any self checkout at Target, Walmart, WinCo, FoodCo and Food Max. If you want your groceries bagged, then you pretty much have to shop at the more expensive grocery shops like SaveMart and Vons. (Does anyone even shop at those places anymore??)I would recommend and I will be back for that zero carb bre

Location of the store is good. I do like that they have certain days where they have sales going on. You just have to pick and choose your veggies and fruits as sometimes they don't always look fresh. Customer service is good. Some employees need to work on there customer service skills but over all not bad. A specific employee i would like to give recognition to is Jessica T. She's super nice and always friendly. She's the cashier and does a really good job.

Produce as local as it gets. Many items of what they sell grows literally walking distance from this stand. And even though it's literally in the middle of nowhere, people still find their way to them. We've been to Cairns like 5 times already, and they are always customers there. They sell seasonal fruits and veggies, so it's better to call in advance and check if they have something specific. The only minus is they don't accept credit cards, so make sure you bring some cash.

"I was introduced to Food4Thought through the Berry Lady in Kingsburg. It was a pandemic pivot. Since the Kaiser farmer's market would not be operating during the pandemic, the Berry Lady was without a Fresno outlet. She used Food4Thought, a company that had been delivering to nearby school districts, also shut down due to the pandemic, for her outlet. Worked for me as I was not comfortable going to Kingsburg to pick up blackberries and blueberries. Food4Thought has a convenient location out by the airport that was good for pickup once or twice a week.More produce was added. Fabulous fruit and veggie boxes were available. Bags of locally grown fruit could be bought at a low cost. How convenient, how healthy, how delicious. So, will Food4Thought continue to sell to the public after the pandemic ends? We will wait and see. I am hopeful."
"I remember as a kid living in Fresno, Bouquet of Fruits was sort of the fancier Sierra Nut House. It was the kind of place you went to buy a gift basket for someone you wanted to impress. I don't know what it's like now, but as an out-of-towner now, I recently purchased a birthday basket there for my stepmom's birthday. It's overpriced, for sure, but they have lots of nice basket options online. I found that since it was going to a local address, it was way cheaper to call them directly to deliver, as this way, I would not be charged the "shipping" fee. She loved the basket and felt special, so Bouquet of Fruits must have done a great job! She enjoyed the variety of items in the basket quite a bit."
"Found this place on yelp. Good selection of tasty treats...but went with the ice cream (didn't see the crazy pineapple until after I ordered. I'm not from here, but missed having a table to sit at. Maybe they're a newer shop? Very nice service, so I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area."
"This is a beautiful family-owned farm in the Fresno foothills. I have been several times in late spring/early summer to pick or purchase cherries, and just recently went with a group to pick pomegranates in the fall. I think they may also have a berry patch, but I haven't been for that.Mountain Brook Ranch is a great place to bring the family to enjoy some time outdoors and to pick fruit fresh from the tree. It is easy to spot from the road, and has a lovely farm stand right next to a gravel parking area. Depending on the season, the farm stand has jams and the seasonally fresh/ripe fruit ready for you to buy if you don't want to pick your own. They also have buckets and pruning shears to cut the fruit off the trees available for those who want to pick their own. Please note that usually only certain trees or rows are available to pick from, depending on which trees have ripe fruit and which trees they are saving for other things. Surrounded by beautiful rolling foothills, this is a great family activity, and a great place to take photos while you enjoy time outside. Follow them on Facebook to get updates on when they'll be opened and when fruit is ready. And bring cash or check, as they do not accept credit cards."
"Love it when they are open.. you could get such delicious peaches here. They also sell peach gems there.. which are great for dessert,Potlucks... etc"
"Steal of a deal fruit stand with lots of freshly picked options!I think the pomegranates say it all. I've never seen more tree ripened, pomegranates for sale in my life. They cracked open with ripeness! There was a really adorable little hay stack enclosed section where they had the larger size pumpkins located. There were corn stalks, small pumpkins, gourds, and a scarecrow. Adorable; my nephew and I had fun picking out a pumpkin in the cordoned off haystack area. They also offer fresh honey, dehydrated fruits, bagged nuts and tons of produce. The woman operating it was friendly and patient with us as we hemmed, hawed and guffawed at the options available. Stop in! It's right off the road with easy parking and easy in/out."
"Nice small town store with a quality staff and good prices. The secret about this place is that they have high quality sushi inside for a very reasonable price. Don't sleep on the weekly specials also because you can get some real steals."
"I can honestly only give a 3 star rating, but that is because we missed berry season by just a few weeks, closed by mid July. We drove up in August. Sad.But it was not a complete loss. We did get to meet the friendly, hard working owner, James, who came out of his garage to chat with us. They have quite a big operation that, during the picking season, has much to offer. I shall gladly look them up again, in season this time, after having a very pleasant and informative chat with him. He has dreams of a future expansion into fruit wines. I say yes!Regardless, I say "yum" to blackberries and blueberries fresh out of the field!"
"Aldi's maybe new to Visalia but not to me. I've been to several of their locations in the Valley as well as SoCal. This is a store you basically have to shop all the aisles to discover the deals. As for name brands, their selection is limited. Aldi's focuses on their brands. Their quality and prices are excellent. Aldi's Hawaiian Bread Rolls taste very comparable to the King's Hawaiian brand. This store has something for everybody. Where else can you buy a dozen of large eggs for $1.99 ?*** 31 Jan. 2024 ***"
"I love it here! I've had the elote, rolled ice cream, fruit cups and nachos and all were excellent! The fruit cups are my favorite because this is literally the only place in town that offers the variety of fruit that this place does and it's always fresh and delicious. The customer service is great and they are always so nice and accommodating. You definitely need to have patience when you go here especially if others are ahead of you, I've only ever seen one person working and making all the orders at a time and she's amazing and patient herself, so please be patient or try calling and ordering ahead and giving her time! The ambience is relaxing, very clean and spacious. This place has become a staple for my family!"
"We live nearby and come here often. The pumpkin patch in fall and their Christmas decorations definitely make it a great spot to take photos of your little one. Last year we took photos with Santa and explored the barn which had a large sleigh. We just took my little to explore the pumpkin patch and she had a blast running around. The goodies inside the store make great gifts! There is local honey, nuts, wine, and other goodies."
"This low key stand at the Saturday Ferry Farmers Market is one of my go-to when they are there. There are in the back lot area closer to the water normally in the center area. They are a seasonal vendor at this market, here mainly during the stone fruits and grape seasons. At the peak of summer, I really enjoyed their nectarines which were extremely sweet. Rebecca always made me smile when I paid her... gee, did I really say that?! With the shelter in place on, she almost exclusively works the cashier while the other guys put customers' orders together. Michael has been extremely helpful knowing my demanding requirements in picking my family's fruits. My favorite this summer has been their champagne grapes (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gDqCSCj7WiiOiZG6x4YSaA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); it only lasted three weeks, but, boy oh boy, were they good. Their white and yellow nectarines () are not very large in size, but, in flavor, they really come up big in being sweet. I bought some flame grapes () and fantasy grapes (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-dFxTB01kRS9V8ssKhnDvg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) the past couple of weeks which were very good too.Stop by here if you enjoy grapes and stone fruits (plums, pluots, etc). You won't be disappointed."
"Corporate headquarters for the largest raisin and dried fruit processor in the world, Sun-Maid Growers of California is a privately owned cooperative. They have been in business for over 100 years as a grower cooperative!I haven't been to Kingsburg, but I've sure bought and eaten my share of their delicious raisins. They've expanded to all sorts of other driet fruits (figs, dates, apricots) and they've been selling them dipped in all sorts of interesting things like dark chocolate and such. So yummy! Not many raisins on my keto diet, but my wife wanted some for something she's cooking so a box of them went into the cart. Good stuff![Review 12478 overall, 2266 of 2019.]"
"They have lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Compared to lots of the other stands around the area, their selection is much greater. I love coming here when I am in town and the service is great. It appears a husband and wife runs the stand and has been there for over 20 years. Support local farmers."
