"Our floors are finished and they look terrific! We had stained and dirty carpet and needed to make a change. What to do? More carpet = Stains. Wood was not the best option with our dogs. Tile the entire house - Yuck. What about custom concrete & stain - WOW!I called and had Sergio come out and talk about what HB could do and what it would cost. He measured and sent us an estimate the next morning. We went to their showroom to get more ideas and choose colors. Both Sergio and Patrick helped up figure out the best options for our great room and hallways.A couple weeks later, it began.Day 1, the carpet was gone (Yeah!) and the exposed concrete was ground and cleaned. Day 2 - Five guys worked most of the day on the concrete overlay and it was stamped into a natural look. Day 3 - The next morning the crew stained the floors. Day 4 - They did a little stain touch up and sealed and then waxed the final product.The finished floor looks natural and warm. It will be pretty easy to keep clean and obviously concrete is durable. We did have to be out of the house for a couple nights so we stayed in a local hotel (Homewood Suites-5 Stars!) and made a mini vacation out of it.We might do a couple more rooms with HB it turned out so well. Unfortunately, the product had a defect that caused a "crackle/snapping" sound when stepped on. Never during the entire time did Antonio ignore my call or give up on our project.In the end, the warranty was approved and his team laid down our entire house once again. As expected, the floor came out beautifully with no issues what so ever. First let me say, compared to having tile removed "the old way" this was definitely much better. A year ago, we had tile removed "the old way" right before everything shut down. We were stuck in the house with so much dust (no matter how much we cleaned, there was more and more, everywhere) I was wheezing & using two inhalers round the clock for a couple months. (I only have occasional asthma normally.) THIS so far has definitely been better than THAT, and so overall I'm glad I had the work done.Let me also add that the crew who came to the house, all the guys were very nice, very polite, and very hard-working. I have only nice things to say about them.Now for the less-good. This was not by any means dust-free, and possibly it's not 100% their fault that it wasn't, but still -- my workplace hasn't reopened yet, and I'm still working from home, so I'm breathing this stuff all day long, and I'm back to the inhalers. Please know, it's not as bad as before "the old way" -- but I'm a bit disappointed to pay all this money and be stuck in my house wheezing again.What went wrong? Apparently under the tile, unbeknownst to us -- it was very old kitchen tile -- there was some kind of layer of black tar waterproofing which I guess they weren't sure how to handle. It was very hard to remove and I believe at one point they had to leave to get some kind of special ...tool or equipment or something, to remove it.Well, now I have chunks of black tar everywhere, in rooms where they weren't even working, and yes, they did put up plastic sheeting. I have chunks of black tar (and presumably dust, although I haven't been in there to seriously clean yet) all over my guest bath floor. I had chunks and bits of black tar all over the concrete patio and concrete porch, which were getting ***stuck and ground into the concrete*** before we noticed, and which have had to be **scrubbed** off. We have had a layer of black dust -- multiple times -- on the dining room furniture, which wasn't in the rooms they were working. The night they left, I wiped my table, which gets wiped down several times a day, and it was covered with fine black dust. It keeps settling on the furniture. Even last night, my daughter wiped down the table after dinner and was like "What _is_ this?" so apparently quite a bit of this stuff is in the air in our house. Perhaps the worst of all, there were chunks of this stuff, and the fine dust too, all in my pantry on all the shelves, coating the packages and cans. I'll attach a few pictures of my pantry shelves. You can't see the fine stuff necessarily but you can definitely see the chunks.Now the floors themselves, they left those pretty clean, but I guess they did not look where these gross tar chunks and tar dust was going, and it's __all over__ and I've been breathing it in and using inhalers ever since they left.Note: I only have an asthma issue a few times a year, so if you're someone with bad asthma, you need to be even more careful if you're getting tile out. I had a bad time with asthma when the tile was removed last year "the old way." I also had a bad time during the worst of the fires last year, when the air quality was off-the-charts bad, and now again after this tile removal. So three times in the past year.So...the tile had to come out, and it was better than last year's mess. Maybe my expectations of what "dust-free" means were too high? Or maybe they just didn't know what to do with that tar layer, or were just getting tired after a long hard day and got to the point where they just wanted to go home. They did work really hard while they were here, no question.It was really expensive too, about triple what a regular demo cost. And they didn't mention till they arrived that they have to tap into your power box, and so they turned our solar off all day, too (I don't quite understand why). Is that a deal breaker? No, but it would be nice if they mentioned that stuff.Overall, I'm going to say I would do it again because it's better than the alternative, and the people were truly very nice. That's why I'm saying it was 3 stars which means "OK." But I'm really bummed to be using these inhalers and feeling like cr*p, at a time when now I have to clean the whole house of this stuff over and over. We ran the heat really briefly yesterday because we had a cold rainy day, and I think that *really* sent the tar dust everywhere. Ugh. I think all the advertising online regarding the "dust free" process and the raving testimonials from homeowners raised my expectations way too high, and so my best advice if you're considering this work would be to have reasonable expectations going in. I will update the review when I stop wheezing (it's been five days so far) so you'll know how long it lasted, compared to two months using the old process.

This was the second time I've used Francos. I was obviously very happy with the interior painting project I had, and now Carlos was renewing my sidewalk/porch with an epoxy coating. It turned outbeautiful. Nonskid in winter rain and cooler than regular cement in summer, I LOVE IT. See my Google review of my paint project. Always responsive, great value with very fair pricing, and professional/personable. 5++ stars.

Don't use anyone else or you'll pay too much and not get the personalized service that you deserve!!! Brian at American Flooring has been our "go to" for 2 years now. We remodeled our home for sale, then updated the second home, and Brian gave us beautiful flooring at reasonable costs. I will gather multiple quotes, and Brian consistently comes in at about 50% less than everyone else ( without sacrificing quality carpet/flooring and installation). He also comes to your home in person and you can tell he truly wants you to have the best product at the best price. You just don't get that kind of "no nonsense" treatment anymore, it seems. If you need to save money, but you can't have a crappy product, Brian will help you. This is a family business with old fashioned values.

"Brian installed our aggregate flooring in 2004. We were so happy with his work and still are. After almost 14 years we are still constantly referring our friends. Every time we need something, he is always there to help. A couple of weeks ago we had him come out and re-seal our floor. He was able to fit us in to his schedule even on short notice. "I would give them more of a 3.5 stars. First, their prices are very reasonable. For my house (3 bedrooms, living room & hallway) it came out to $85. They were polite & answered all of our questions. Customer service was pretty good, both over the phone & in person. I've never had my carpets cleaned professionally before, so I dont have anything to really compare them with (except my own rug doctor experiences). Our carpets were gross. We have 2 toddlers, wear our shoes inside the house and 2 cats that puke hair balls (let's be real here)...so you can imagine. They sprayed some kind of treatment before cleaning. The whole process took about 40 min to a hour I would say. They told us the carpets would be dry shortly thereafter, but not even. Even with all fans on, it took several hours. However, I would say that's not quite their fault. My living room & hallway are in the darkest part of my house. Those parts didnt dry until the next day. The parts of the house that had the most sunlight took about 4 hours to dry. In the rooms with the least traffic, the carpet looked great. The carpet in the high traffic areas (read: the ones I really wanted cleaned) still had stains but were lightened up. On the whole, I did see a big improvement to the house. However, there was a large stain in one room in which I am 99.9% positive there wasnt before they came. It was an orangey stain, around the size of a dog bowl. I didn't want to call & complain to be honest, and it came right out with my own carpet stain cleaner."

"Beware of this business. They did not complete their work on our contract and sent 3 contracts to our home who were unprofessional and sloppy. Now I have to pay 3 times more than I paid them under contract to fix what damage their contractors did. The last contractors were sweet talking to the women in the house and slammed me out of more than $3600. I called and told them that I wanted them to give me my money back for what we paid the tile person and they told me that they had no business with those contractors anymore, but yet an hour later they called me and gave me the name and address of those contractors. They are Bravo Construction and beware of this business too. I would rate this business with 0 stars but Yelp wants at least 1 star. I am sure they are partners with Bravo and will RIP you off the first chance they get."
"Experience with this company as we've had them put in new flooring in the entire downstairs twice. The first time during the pandemic and within a year noticed separation in the planks. Jeff came out and explained the product was defective and if we gave them some time they would make it right and they did! I can't say enough about the second crew that came in to take the old stuff and install the new Mohawk flooring. They were careful and professional. Yes it took a little longer and we were inconvenienced again living 2 weeks without floors but effort was to make it right and we appreciate that. It's been about a month and the new floors look great. I never had any experience with stealing as some reviews mention and again dealt with two different crews. We always want to support local. We're appreciative that the company didn't shy away from responsibility and made sure that customer service was paramount."

We went into their Tulare store and they had a good selection of quartz prefab countertops , tile,sinks ,faucets. They can also order different quartz if you don't like what they have. Cassandra came to our house to measure for an estimate on our kitchen and bathroom countertops , she called ahead and arrived on the time and date agreed on. She had an estimate within a couple days for the Teltos quartz countertops,tile backsplash ,sink,faucet. The estimate was reasonably priced . We are still debating if to use their services based on their reviews from their Tulare and Bakersfield store ,not to mention the BBB complaint from their Bakersfield store. We'll update on who we go with.10/23/20 - We ended up going with another granite/quartz company ."
