After they made some changes to their bowls, things got a lot better. The service has tightened up and they have the most personable staff who greet you at every part of the process. I've grown to love the outdoor seating given the weather. It can be noisy because of Friant but the patio is the perfect spot in evenings to have a quick bite and watch the sky as the sun sets.

I was back in Fresno, and since I had my car this time, I decided to come out to the restaurant. It was a good meal. The space was just your standard, fast casual restaurant, with some nice decorations on the wall. It was a very clean space. You go down the line and order your food, and then take it to your table. You can either order one of their premade pokes , or you can "build your own."I decided to go for the small rising Sun poke. It had Seared Ahi Tuna, Sushi Rice, Crispy Wontons, Miso Vinaigrette, Jalapeno, Shaved Snap Peas, Green Onions, Cilantro, Spicy Mayo Drizzle, Chili Mandarins, Sesame Seeds, with Macadamia Nuts, and Tempura Crumbles on top. I told the lady that I don't "do spice". I also asked for the spicy mayo to be replaced with their ponzu lime sauce. It was a very decent sized bowl. I took it to my table, took one bite, and the spice almost blew my head off. Apparently, she misunderstood, and left in the jalapeño. A *LOT* of jalapeño. I almost took it back, But instead, I just decided to pick out all the jalapeño. Once I did that, it was an excellent bowl. That was a good amount of fish, The rice was the perfect texture, the veggies were good, and the "chili mandarins" were actually not spicy. Everything played well with each other. I loved the wontons and macadamia on the top. They were a great addition to the meal. For a "small bowl", I still left stuffed. It was an excellent meal. The price was extremely reasonable, everybody was more than friendly, and they even offer a military/veterans discount. I would come back again. Just next time, I will be More careful, in confirming what is supposed to go into my order. Thank you.

After several times, dining here in the last couple of years we went again today. The food was good and fresh. The service was friendly and quick .The ambiance, well,Is fast food sterile. My wife and I ordered two completely different bowls. My mistake was not watching which bowl was being filled with which items. Their mistake was not putting the right items in the right bowls. We each received a bowl waaaay different than what we ordered.Halfway through my meal, I figured out why I wasn't finding in my bowl that which I had ordered and was finding things in my bowl which I had not orderedI The bowl was good, but not what I wanted. I graciously said nothing to the staff, but promised I would tell the Yelpers to watch closely,BTW- my review would have been 4 stars, otherwise

OMG!!!! I'm so glad I tried this place! It was bustling! Incredible customer service. I meant to go to Heirloom but (per usual) the line was crazy long. It was 7pm and I was starving so Butterfish. Let me first say this. I am incredibly picky about my fish and this was SO fresh! It's like a regular Poke place on steroids!!! The options are immense! I got a regular bowl with bacon fried rice ( ) 1 scoop each Ahi, salmon, seared ahi - next time I'll get just seared because it was DIVINE!Edamame, Tobiko, Wantons , Cucumber, Cilantro, Sesame seed, Crunchy onions, macadamia nuts. My sauces were Thai spicy and coconut drizzle. And I think a miso one too. There truly are no words and here I am trying to find words. Suffice it to say - I would drive 2 hours to go here again. - my aunt got bacon fried rice w/plain fried shrimp and also loved it. Just GO!

This is place is one of my favorite places in Fresno! I always get a "build your own" Salmon bowl with crispy onions and spicy mayo and it taste amazing! The people that work here are always kind and the restaurant is always kept clean. They have the best spicy mayo I've ever tasted and I appreciate the quality of their salmon. (Ps, if you get the teriyaki beef bowl with just bacon fried rice, beef, crispy onions, and spicy mayo...it's bomb!!)

Claimed as the best poke in Fresno. I was curious to see how great it is. Besides, it's BYOB so if it's not very good, it's probably all my fault. I mean the biggest thing is having fresh ingredients and a good selection. I feel like both of these boxes are checked. One of the things I like the most is the way that the cucumber is diced instead of sliced. It gives a really nice texture and the sauces that I chose did a good job helping flavor the bowl. I also can't complain about the portions and scoops that were given. I'm not overly impressed with the scoop size, but it was decent. It was also curious to see other menu options. I'm kind of used to just walking in to a poke place and getting poke. If you didn't know, poke is a Hawaiian dish and it means to be cut sideways. It was originally cubes of raw fish similar to Japanese Tataki. it's interesting how it's morph to be what it is today and popping up in places like Fresno. For example, butterfish, offers teriyaki, beef, teriyaki, chicken, Katsu, fried chicken, and shrimp. They have a Thai bowl, a Japanese style, and a California style. It's also crazy to see bacon, fried rice, gluten-free kelp, noodles, and super greens as a base. It's almost a little bit more than poke where it becomes a chicken bowl, beef, bowl, salmon bowl BYOB. A lot like a pan, Asian inspired, chipotle. all positive.

Food: Poke is so fresh here. They have a variety of sauces to choose from! I got a regular bowl with 3 scoops of salmon. They give you 5 toppings and the first scoop of avocado is free within your 5 toppings. Spicy thai, honey cashew, and teppanyaki were my favorite sauces. I love how they use fresh wonton chips! Service: They are quick to order and they're fast to get you your bowl. Ambiance: it's very clean and reminds me of Pokeworks in SoCal. My partner recommended me this place because she is from around the area, and I understand why she loves this place so much.
