Bud's Place

I had a Bloody Mary and it did not disappoint! The patrons were amazing and fun. Barbara is a great bartender. I had tacos from across the street and came and did homework and relaxed. This place is worth the drive! I think I found my new drinking place.

This bar is not the same when Barb is not the bartender. Walking in and seeing her behind the bar makes the whole trip worth it. Love this place and barb! Best dive bar around. We drive all the way to snelling probably more than we should but it is well worth the drive!

Was just there today. Hadn't gone in a couple years. Every time we go, the amazing Bloody Mary tastes exactly the same. And this location has clearly not closed.

I always forget to check-in at Bud's place since there's no AT&T cell service. Love this place though. We stop in as often as we can while we're out riding. It's a great little dive bar with a juke box, a pool table, and the best Bloody Mary you will ever find. The people are always friendly and the gal who owns it is awesome. Just don't ask to "customize" your bloody mary. They are made that way for a reason! LOL. One downer is that they don't take credit cards, but they have an ATM so it's all good. Love this place. Definitely check it out.

Probably the best Bloody Mary I've ever had...The accouterments are aw inspiring. Where else can you get an entire meal in one beverage??? You will never get the trusty stand by of the lone celery stalk, no no, at Bud's Place they fill your glass with two spicy green beans, a pickled garlic, a stalk of pickled asparagus, two green olives, a pearl onion, and a peperoncini!! The bloody mary madness doesn't end with the garnishments, Bud's place makes sure you have a tasty drink to go along with the morsels. Their mix does not come out of a bottle, jar, or can... It's made fresh in your glass each and every time. Bud's is also a great place for local flare... The atmosphere is a dive "biker bar" and this is no more apparent then their lack for CA law (YES, Bud's still allows you to SMOKE in the bar!!) But the careless attitude doesn't stop with the cigarettes, on many occasions I've seen a local DOG sleeping at the foot of a drunk... I can't wait to go back!!!

Great bar to stop at on a Sat or Sun drive. Night life is great too. Pool tables and great atmosphere. A must stop!!

I'll have to admit I've drove here just for their infamous Bloody Marys. I know a slew of friends who can say the same. There's no reception unless you go to the bathrooms though, weird. Overall I recommend making that Sunday drive if you're thirsty.

Best Bloody Mary in Merced County. Playing pool after drinks is a great way to enjoy a road trip to Snelling.

I don't how this place survives. I called on Friday and asked when they close and the lady said not before 10pm and at 930pm when we drove by closed. Its 6:49pm now on Saturday and just called no one answered so obviously closed again. Would of been real nice to get a chance to catch the local bar while visiting parents but this place actually has to remain open for that to happen. So good luck to all who try this place, don't waste your time if you live far.

Without a doubt...the best Bloody Mary! Yes it's a meal in a glass! We always stop on our way back or up to our property for this one of a kind Bloody Mary!
