HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE....DON'T GO THERE! They don't care they serve you up garbage, overcharge you and can care less about customers.

This is one of the few places that I will order a plate of nachos, as my entire meal. Definitely my favorite nachos in town, especially at the Bobby Salazar's Express locations, where you can build your own nachos! The combination plates are very good as well, and one of the few places I'll get both beans AND rice, instead of just beans. The Tostada Compuesta is excellent, and much more filling than it looks. I get it with chicken or shredded beef, instead of boring, ground beef.The biggest reason I give this place 5 stars, is the same reason I give other restaurants 5 stars, in my reviews. They serve PEPSI Cola, which is absolutely delicious, and not that nasty, rancid tasting, Coca-Cola. All Pepsi products just demolish Coke products, in my opinion. Many times, when deciding on a restaurant, the simple "Pepsi or Coke" question, decides where I go. Most places that serve alcohol, have Coca-Cola, because it supposedly mixes better with Coke. Whatever. I only drink alcohol at home, anyway, and there sure as hell isn't Coke or Coke products at my house, unless it's Mr. Pibb (Pibb Xtra), which is harder to find than hen's teeth. I really commend places that buck the trend, and serve Pepsi. My favorite sign outside a restaurant is, "Proudly Serving Pepsi Cola". That will attract my business. If they serve Coke, I just get Iced Tea or plain water. I imagine that even toilet water tastes better than Coca-Cola.

I just noticed I hadn't updated my review after my last two visits. True story. About five weeks ago we were in early on a Friday evening. Not busy at all in the dining room. One other table. More action on the bar side. I was craving a fancy burrito. Chili con carne. Hadn't had that in a while. When my plate came out, it was a fancy burrito. Chili verde. I didn't say anything, as I figured I mis-ordered. When we were almost through, our server came to our table and said they'd realized my burrito was made wrong and offered to bring me a chili con carne one. I told him I was fine, that I like both the chili con carne and the chili verde ones. No big deal. The hubby enjoyed his chicken enchiladas and the chips & salsa were spot on, as always. Friendly service. Lots of to go orders being picked up.Fast forward to a few weeks ago. We went in early on a Friday evening. The dining room had one other table with folks dining. The bar was the usual Friday evening kind of busy. I was still craving that fancy burrito (with chili con carne) that I didn't get on the previous visit. When my fancy burrito plate came out, it was chili verde. I'm not kidding. It was actually kind of funny that it had happened two visits in a row. It reminded me of that old Bill Murray movie, Groundhog Day. The server said she'd take my plate back to have it remade, but I told her it was fine, I liked both the chili con carne and the chili verde. The hubby's chicken enchiladas were good, as was the chips & salsa. Friendly service. Lots of to go orders being picked up.Well, here it is, a Friday afternoon and I'm still craving that fancy burrito. Chili con carne. Dare we head over there in a bit and give it a try?! Lol. Update: we did go last Friday. I ordered the chili con carne fancy burrito and that's what I got! It was delicious!

If I could give a negative stars I would. Since the restaurant doesn't answer the phone I will leave this review here. I ordered a bean, cheese, and chicken burrito and a two item combo. The problem was with the burrito. Luckily my husband was using a fork to eat it when he noticed something poking out of it. He pulled on it and out came a about 4 inch piece of metal wire. Disgusting! I had it delivered through Door Dash and I am sure it was done at the restaurant as it came wrapped in foil and in a styrofoam container that had no puncture marks and came in a bag that was closed up and tied at the top from the restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant back when it was Sal's second restaurant. I have always loved their chimichangas. I'm weird and oddly specific in my tastes. The food here was what I've always measured mexican food against. We recently returned to the area and tonight was the first time I've been able to get by. .It appears that there was only one person handling the entire dining room. He was very nice and had a great attitude, but a tad bit overwhelmed. He delivered the wrong dishes to us before realizing it was for another table. Fortunately, he took back the burrito before my hubs touched it and delivered it to the right table. His rice was delivered correctly at that time, our meals were delivered about 20 mins after being ordered. Sadly this meant the rice was rather cold. According to the menu my chimichanga was supposed to be served on a bed of lettuce. There was no lettuce on my plate, but I was okay with that. The food was as good as I remembered. I felt for the host, server, busser as he was trying. He was trying hard and kept a great attitude through it all. We ordered the monster burrito with chili Verde, a side of rice and an ultimate chimichanga. The hubs enjoyed his burrito and rice. I enjoyed my meal and we will be back.

If you are looking for a place to lunch on your work lunch hour don't come here. This place is so under staffed I had to call the kitchen staff out to get service just to get an order that was called in at 1210 I stood here waiting after a delivery person had been waiting longer than I was. If there are other restaurants around on a lunch hour or if you are wanting to wait a30 minutes or longer for your lunch or dinner don't stop here. Terrible service not even the waitress helped us out it was the cook who came out. I'm not certain about the other locations but really either shut it down or remodel staff it property your prices have gone allot higher. So are you up keeping other locations and not this one? Sad really I really loved this place my office would have lunch here quite often.

This is a hard one. I remember going here as a kid and there are a lot of great memories associated with it. But I'm in my 40's now. First the good parts, the Mexican American food is still very tasty and a fair value. But the place is seriously run down. The bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days rotting sunflower seeds in the corners toilet paper, paper towel and soap dispensers all empty with the items out on the counters. The service was neither great or bad. But I would no longer consider this a family place and it is not a bar I'd want to be at.
