Headed to Yosemite? Black Oak Bed & Breakfast is where you want to stay. It's beautiful, peaceful and simply delightful.I was fortunate to spend Thanksgiving at the Black Oak Bed & Breakfast. The owners, John and Kathy, bring new meaning to "hospitality". They are welcoming, charming, engaging conversationalists, and terrific hosts! They've thought of everything, including motion sensor lights in the bathrooms so you're never stumbling around in the dark.If you're like me and enjoy scrambled eggs, John's are about the best I've ever had. For dog lovers, Aria, their Rhodesian Ridge Back, has the sweetest disposition. There are many lodging options in this area. None, I would argue, compare to Black Oak Bed & Breakfast.Thank you, John and Kathy!

We had such an amazing time up at the Black Oak B&B! John and Kathy were so accommodating and have created a truly relaxing getaway. It's the perfect distance from Yosemite. You can decide to retreat and get some peace and quiet with beautiful views or venture into the park areas and see some of the most amazing sites California has to offer! Also the dishes they offer are created using the abundance from the garden they tend on the grounds! Fresh eggs and waffles in the morning?! Yes please!!! Great place, great people!

The Black Oak Bed and Breakfast is relaxing, beautiful and the most serene getaway. The owners John and Kathy are the epitome of hospitality. They are such generous and special people. They have opened up their home to travelers and do an incredible job at making you feel welcome! I would highly suggest stay here if you are going to Yosemite. John makes breakfast every morning and it is delicious! We are so pleased and we can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for hosting us! P.s. their dogs are the cutest

Loved Black Oak! One of the finest and most beautiful places Michele and I have ever stayed, during our travel visits. The atmosphere is incredibly charming, and the hospitality is a bit on the European side, which is of-course wonderful. The breakfast was divine...he does know his way around he kitchen, chef style at that. John and Kathy are a lovely couple, and we were delighted to spend our time in their welcoming home, while on our Yosemite trip. We are both looking forward to our return visit.

I paid the deposit for a 2-night's stay and mentioned that I was vegan and asked whether that could be accommodated -- I even offered to bring my own food. The owner did not respond to the initial message in the booking and did not respond until I contacted them from Air BnB. Katharine was rude and dismissive in her emails and then canceled our reservation without giving a reason. We are traveling to celebrate the end of chemotherapy for me after breast cancer and are now left having to find another place to stay. STAY AWAY. The owners are unscrupulous and don't care about their guests, only taking their money.
